  I have a flowLayoutPanel which I am programatically adding new panelLayouts to. Each panelLayout has a pictureBox within it. It's all working nicely, but I need to detect when that picture box is clicked on. How do I add an event to the picture? I seem to only be able to find c# examples.... my code to add the image is as follows... ' add pic to the little panel container Dim pic As New PictureBox() pic.Size = New Size(cover_width, cover_height) pic.Location = New Point(10, 0) pic.Image = Image.FromFile("c:/test.jpg") panel.Controls.Add(pic) 'add pic and other labels (hidden in this example) to the big panel flow albumFlow.Controls.Add(panel) So I assume somewhere when I'm creating the image I add an onclick event. I would like the Django app to get first call and so would want its URL path to be / This would allow me to add any new URLs to the urls.py I wish as my app grows.   I am getting this exception from a MySqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery(): Index and length must refer to a location within the string.   I just installed icicles with emacs, and so far I am liking it a lot. I'm not entirely sure if this is possible, but I would like to implement (or use, if it already exists) a feature in icicles that would auto-complete words from an English dictionary. So, if I'm writing something and need a word that rhymes with floor, I can type in *or, or even better, for alliteration, type in flo* and have it return all the words from the dictionary that start with flo Questions: Does something like this exist? If it does not exist, what would be the best way to go about this? Should I somehow hook into aspell? Or just index a long file of words?

  I am having some trouble saving the state of my current view. Currenly I have several selectlist calling their own Action method on the controller that returns the Index view with the filtered model based on the values of the selectlist. I have also written a little FileResult action that creates a csv file based on the current model. But I am only covering one selectlist right now as I only save the value of selectList1 into the session and access it with Session["SelectListValue1"] What are the best practices in this situation? Should I redo the entire (each action for each SelectList) part? Should I save each SelectLists value into the session and check if it's null? Or should I just save the Lambda Expression into the session and modify it during every call?

• Django template not loading properly

  Hey, When this one runs everything goes fine: (r"^newobject$", "views.myobjects.newobject"), All the CSS + JS files are properly fetched from: static/css/... static/js/... When this one runs: (r"^mybjects/(([a-z]|[A-Z]|[0-9])+)$","views.myobjects.loadobject"), All the css and JS files that are being fetched, are run trough the urlpatterns and are returning my defailt page: (r"", 'views.main.index'), This makes all my CSS and JS code to actualy be HTML. My guess is that i'm giving some noob mistake. Is there any common reason why this should happen? And how to fix it?

I'd like to be able to pass in a collection of models or view-models (e.g., IEnumerable<MyViewModel>) and get back an HTML table that uses the DisplayName attribute for the headings (th elements) and Html.Display(propertyName) for the cells (td elements). Each row should correspond to one item in the collection. When I'm only displaying a single record, as in a Details view, I use ViewData.ModelMetadata.Properties to obtain the list of properties for a given model. But what happens when the model I pass to the view is a collection of model or view-model objects and not a model or view-model itself? How do I obtain the ModelMetadata for a particular item in a collection?

• Using VRaptor3 with Tomcat UnpackWARs property setted to false

  Hi there, I have to deploy my web app to a tomcat container with the unpackWARs property defined to false. When I do that, although the application is successfully deployed, when I try to access my url I always got a 404 error. I just don't receive that error when I try to access a direct file like index.html for instance. But I can't do that, the VRaptor framework is responsible for routing my url to the jsp file. Does anyone know if I have do anything else? Thanx

• Measuring execution time of a system call in C++

They array is not large (below 200 elements) and will be prepared once for a large number of searches. Array elements after the n-th can if necessary be initialized to something appropriate, if that speeds up the search. No, binary search is not allowed, only linear search.

  Hi, I have a flex datagrid with 3 columns. The first column contains the image name(unique key). The other two columns have username and size details. I want to split the username into lastname, firstname, address and some other stuff. Can we have multiple rows in the grid for one image? Tried multi-line, it works but we need to keep adding spaces and its cumbersome. Since each row in the flex datagrid is represented by one index in the XMLList which is enumerated, is there a way to have more than one row assigned to one image and shown in the grid? something like this.. • Implementing full text search on iPhone?

  I'm looking for suggestions on the best way to implement a full-text search on some static data on the iPhone. Basically I have an app that contains the offline version of a web site, about 50MB of text, and I'd like for users to be able to search for terms. I figure that I should somehow build an table of ("word", reference_to_file_containing_word) or something, put that into either Core Data or just sqlite, index the "word" column, then have the search facility search the table for search terms and take the intersection of the sets of results for the terms or something. That wouldn't allow people to search for phrases but it would be pretty easy and probably not too slow. I'd like to just use existing SDK features for this. Should I use Core Data or sqlite? Does anyone have any other ideas on how this could be done?

  I have the following CSS style code for my table: td { overflow: hidden; white-space:nowrap; } td:hover { overflow: visible; } However, when I hover over a <td> element whos contents (text) are hidden, the result is that the contents become visible but are behind the content of the adjacent cell (right side). I do not think that z-index can be applied to table cell elements, so is there a CSS attribute that I can specify within my td:hover style which will make the content of my <td> tag overlap the content in adjacent cells?

• Why would you want a case sensitive database?

  What are some reasons for choosing a case sensitive collation over a case insensitive one? I can see perhaps a modest performance gain for the DB engine in doing string comparisons. Is that it? If your data is set to all lower or uppercase then case sensitive could be reasonable but it's a disaster if you store mixed case data and then try to query it. You have then apply a lower() function on the column so that it'll match the corresponding lower case string literal. This prevents index usage in every dbms. So wondering why anyone would use such an option.

  Our environment consists of Project Server 2007 and MOSS 2007. We have around 750 projects and lots of "Enterprise Custom Fields" set up to track all of the metadata associated with a project. Our main requirement is to be able to search/filter/group/sort all of these projects by metadata in SharePoint. Our current process involves syncing this custom metadata into a SharePoint list (which requires a LOT of maintenance). Question: Is it possible to leverage SharePoint search to crawl/index these metadata fields in Project Server? How would I go about setting this up?
