  • How to add an Interbase connection pool to glassfish?

    Hi, I am attempting to add an Interbase connection pool to GlassFish v3 to use EJB 3.1 in a project. The glassfish log appears to be connecting to my database properly, it spits out all my table names and indices. However, I get an error INFO: fetching database metadata SEVERE: could not complete schema update java.lang.NullPointerException at interbase.interclient.ResultSet.local_Close(Unknown Source) ... And when I ping the connection pool from within Glassfish I receive "Ping failed Exception - null". I have the following properties set with my connectionpool: resource type: javax.sql.DataSource Datasource Classname: interbase.interclient.DataSource portNumber: 3050 as well as my database info. I can't seem to find information elsewhere. This question is similar but did not receive an answer. thanks.

I have been using Query to try to get the values - when I use MsgBox() to display results, they display, but my main Windows Form is Trashed - changed colors, etc. The system has Bugs. Instead, I have to create an elaborate structure of arrays of objects and read the XML line-by-line and do the same for saving - this is the dark ages. Art

User: actAs: { Timestampable: ~ } columns: name: { type: string(255), notnull: true } email: { type: string(255), notnull: true, unique: true } nickname: { type: string(255), unique: true } password: { type: string(300), notnull: true } image: { type: string(255) } FriendsWith: actAs: { Timestampable: ~ } columns: friend1_id: { type: integer, primary: true } friend2_id: { type: integer, primary: true } relations: User: { onDelete: CASCADE, local: friend1_id, foreign: id } User: { onDelete: CASCADE, local: friend2_id, foreign: id } It builds the database correctly, but when I try to insert test data like: User: user1: name: Danny Gurt email: [email protected] nickname: danny password: test1 user2: name: Adrian Soian email: [email protected] nickname: adrian password: test1 FriendsWith: friendship1: friend1_id: user1 friend2_id: user2 I get this integrity constraint problem: SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1452 Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails (`krowdd`.`friends_with`, CONSTRAINT `friends_with_ibfk_1` FOREIGN KEY (`friend1_id`) REFERENCES `user` (`id`) ON DELETE CASCADE) Any ideas?     I'm creating a service reference to a web service written in Java. The generated classes now follow the Java casing convention used in the web service, for example class names are camelCase rather than PascalCase. Is there a way to get the desired casing from the service reference? CLARIFICATION: With WSE based services, one could modify the generated Reference.cs to provide .NET standard casing and use XmlElementAttribute to map to the Java naming presented by the external web service, like this: [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute("resultType", Form=System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaForm.Unqualified)] [System.Runtime.Serialization.DataMember] public virtual MyResultType ResultType { ... } Not terribly maintenance-friendly without writing custom code to either generate the proxy code or modify it after it's been generated. What I'm after is one or more options to present a WCF generated client proxy to calling applications using the .NET casing conventions, achieving the same as I did previously with WSE. Hopefully with less manual effort.

    I have an application that uses tabs like the Chrome browser. Now I want to be able to open more forms and not be limited to only one form. These forms should act the same but if I close main form all forms are closed. But in reality, the table just grows vertically, beyond the bounds set by the CSS height attribute(s). Hopefully I've explained this scenario adequately... Does anyone know how I can get this to work?

    If I run an audit on my sites with Google Chrome, I get this message in the Leverage browser caching section: The following resources are missing a cache expiration. Consider making them cacheable if possible: Its funny because I've worked hard to cache all static contents (except for pictures, where I just left Apache's default settings). Firefox does indeed store all these items in cache. Is there anything I should improve in my HTTP headers? Here's the complete header set of some items as loaded after removing the browser caché. Pictures use default settings I didn't really check before, the rest should be cachéd for three hours. I can set headers with both .htaccess and PHP.     I'm using Selenium to unit test my Perl cgi script and all works fine except in one case where my cgi script returns XML content to the web browser instead of returning HTML content. I'm new to Selenium and only pasted in their sample script to get started, but I can't seem to find a Selenium command in any of the documentation that will recognize that my XML response has been returned. The Selenium commands seem to assume that an HTML page is always being returned.

    Hi, In our project we are consuming WCF webservices exposed at Central location as services with basicHttpBinding. In client desktop application we need consume those webservices. I am able to generate proxy class using WSDL.exe. But, I need to convert data/class given by the webservice into my local class, for that now I am xmlserialzing those class/objects given by webservice and deserializing into my local classes as both classes schema matches exactly same. Is there any better way that I can follow? or Do I need to assign each property from one class to another? thanks nRk.

The visitors won't be made aware that they are being tracked, but obviously nothing is personally identifiable.     Hello, I've set up two asp.net applications on a machine, their web.config files contain the same applicationName value in AspNetSqlMembershipProvider item so they share users and roles. The problem sequence is: user logs into application A, opens new tab in a browser logs into application B, his login in application A is signed out and vice versa. Should I use different approach to sharing login information between two applications? Thanks.

  • NO-SQL reliable for small bussines app?

    I'm deciding between go for a NON-SQL engine or a regular SQL one for a document managment system for small bussines. I have experience with firebird/sql server and found a good track of reliability (specially with firebird). This market is full of crappy "servers" (clon-made PC, the mayority), cheap harddisk, rarely use of RAID or anything like that, some are in locations where a power-off is normal, some not have a UPS, etc... (I will include off-site auto-backup to external servers, but that no change the internal setup). (I know about end-user education about such proper setups, but is stupid depend on that, so stick to te point) From the desing point of view, a schema-less database is the way to go for my system, but, I worry if any of the actual solutions (MongoDb, Tokyo Cabinet, etc) are like firebird and survice crash, malfunctions & abuse so data corruption is very rare. The plan is store the office documents there & provide a central repository.

I am required to set the tab order to move to the next field but since there's a button on the up-down arrow, the browser will go through those buttons first then move to the next textbox field. How do you set the jquery to detect the next visible textbox/dropdown/etc input field and move to that on pressing the tab button instead of running through the buttons near it?

  • How to execute T-SQL for several databases which names are stored on a table

    Hey guys, so here's the deal. I have several databases (SqlServer 2005) on the same server with the same schema but different data. I have one extra database which has one table storing the names of the mentioned databases. So what I need to do is to iterate over those databases name and actually "switch" to each one (use [dbname]) and execute a T-SQL script. Am I clear? Let me give you an example (simplified from the real one): CREATE TABLE DatabaseNames ( Id int, Name varchar(50) ) INSERT INTO DatabaseNames SELECT 'DatabaseA' INSERT INTO DatabaseNames SELECT 'DatabaseB' INSERT INTO DatabaseNames SELECT 'DatabaseC' Assume that DatabaseA, DatabaseB and DatabaseC are real existing databases. So let's say I need to create a new SP on those DBs. I need some script that loops over those databases and executes the T-SQL script I specify (maybe stored on a varchar variable or wherever). The view on the screen is refreshed, and shows the contents of the new folder correctly. However, the Combo Box up the top of the dialog still references the original IShellFolder object where the Context menu was initiated. How should I change this IShellFiolder object in the Combo Box?

  • Godaddy ASPNET membership database woes -- PLEASE HELP

    Ok heres the deal I purchased a windows shared hosting account on godaddy that came with 2 MSSQL databases. I setup one to hold my site data and the other installed aspnet membership schema to store site members. The site works perfectly even displaying data from the 1st database. However when I try to login or register I get this nasty error Exception Details: System.Configuration.Provider.ProviderException: The SSE Provider did not find the database file specified in the connection string. At the configured trust level (below High trust level), the SSE provider can not automatically create the database file. Ive gone through my web.config and theres nothing wrong with my 2 connection strings. It seems godaddy has a problem with using 2 mssql databases simultaneously when 1 is for membership. Googling just finds a whole lot of people with the same problem -- but no solutions! Does anyone know a solution or a workaround?...or has anyone ever successfully used 2 databases(1 for membership) on godaddy?
