• How to generate a ListView with headers above some sections?

  I want to generate a Listview that has some dividers between some of the entries, like it can be seen in some of the property sections. See the example below. I try to generate a List that consists of some textviews followed by one of the fancy dividers explaining the next part of the list and then again some text views. How can this be done? I thought about creating different views to add to the list? Is this the way to go?

• How to Create an Array from a Single Variable and Form Multiple Foreach Loops?

  I'm fairly proficient in HTML/CSS, but very new when it comes to the likes of PHP and Javascript. I've jumped headfirst into coding Wordpress shortcodes (basically php functions), and so far, through trial and error and seemingly endless browser refreshes, I've been able to figure everything out. I just hit a huge wall though, hence why I'm here. Basically, I'm trying to give an attribute a list of values like: attr="23, 95, 136, ect" The function then needs to take that attribute variable and create an array with it: $arr = array($attr); To me that seems as if it would work, but the array takes the whole list as one value instead. After doing that I want to create a foreach loop that parses each number from the list, possibly through yet another foreach loop if possible, and returns a section of code for each one, and I'm not quite sure how to pull that off either. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

• When does an ASP.NET Website project recompile?

  Where's the info that tells the kinds of changes and files which cause a website project (not web application project) to recompile itself? The reason I'm asking is because we don't want users to lose their sessions. So we want to update the live website with recompile changes in the very wee hours of the morning, but would prefer to make changes during the day to expedite them. • Representing parent-child relationships in SharePoint lists

  I need to create some functionality in our SharePoint app that populates a list or lists with some simple hierarchical data. Each parent record will represent a "submission" and each child record will be a "submission item." There's a 1-to-n relationship between submissions and submission items. Is this practical to do in SharePoint? The only types of list relationships I've done so far are lookup columns, but this seems a bit different. Also, once such a list relationship is established, then what's the best way to create views on this kind of data. I'm almost convinced that it'd be easier just to write this stuff to an external database, but I'd like to give SharePoint a shot in order to take advantage of the automated search capabilities.

  I'm running a webserver on WS 2k3, IIS 6.0. Some of the content is on that server, but most is in a virtual directory linked to another server. Everything works (almost) fine when no SSL is used. However, when using SSL, I cannot access the files in the virtual directory. Instead I get a generic error 500. Any advice?

• Problem with Refreshing data in ExpandableListView

  Hi! My problem is when I want to refresh data in ExpandableListView while being in that current activity. I create adapter and when I want to add new data to list I call again constructor of that adapter(it is my private variable) with all new data....and then I call onContentChanged() method to redraw my list. But what happens is that I cant expand my list any more...like it is blocked or something and logcat isn't saying anything...   I need little help with transferring data from variables, arrays, lists to my SQL Server. Im not bad in SQL, but im not familiar with DataSet, DataTable objects. My data is now stored in list of strings (List). Every string in that list looks similar to this: QWERTY,19920604,0.91,0.35,0.34,0.35,343840 There are about 900000 rows like this. Target datatypes in SQL Server: BIGINT (primary key, im not inserting it, its identity(1,1)) VARCHAR(10), DATE, DECIMAL(10,2), DECIMAL(10,2), DECIMAL(10,2), DECIMAL(10,2), INT How to convert that data to SQL Server data types? How to insert that data into SQL Server? Also i need some progress bar updates between inserts. I could do this using old-fashion SQL command, but i have learn more modern way :)

  I'm trying to figure out how to use the linux "find" command (or another command that will get the job done) to return a list of file paths/directories that do not contain a directory of a certain name. ~/web/domain1.com/public_html/bar ~/web/domain2.com/public_html/ ~/web/domain3.com/public_html/bar ~/web/domain4.com/public_html/ I want all of the paths that don't contain the directory named "bar" (domain2.com and domain4.com). Any idea how I can get find to output such a list? Thanks!

  I have Hibernate 3.6.0.Final and Spring 3.0.0.RELEASE I get "No Hibernate Session bound to thread, and configuration does not allow creation of non-transactional one here" If I add the thread specification back in, I get "saveOrUpdate is not valid without active transaction" Any ideas?   given a large list of alphabetically sorted words in a file,I need to write a program that, given a word x, determines if x is in the list. Preprocessing is ok since I will be calling this function many times over different inputs. priorties: 1. speed. 2. memory I already know I can use (n is number of words, m is average length of the words) 1. a trie, time is O(log(n)), space(best case) is O(log(n*m)), space(worst case) is O(n*m). 2. load the complete list into memory, then binary search, time is O(log(n)), space is O(n*m) I'm not sure about the complexity on tri, please correct me if they are wrong. Also are there other good approaches?

  I have a Logitech webcam, which I can plug into my Windows XP machine via USB. When I open the Device Manager, I can select the webcam and choose Properties--Driver--Driver Details. This gives me the following list of driver filenames: C:\Program Files\Common Files\logishrd\WUApp32.exe [25 more filenames...] C:\WINDOWS\TWAIN_32\QuickCam\reset.wav My question is, is there any way to copy this list to the clipboard? Copying it by hand is a drag.

• Why are these strings escaping from my regular expression in python?

It is possible for emails to be reactivated or for temporary outages, so it doesn't make sense to keep an email in my hard bounce email list forever.   Suppose I'm writing a function that takes a list of integers and returns only those integers in the list that are less than 5.2. I might do something like this: belowThreshold = filter (< 5.2) Easy enough, right? But now I want to constrain this function to only work with input lists of type [Int] for design reasons of my own. This seems like a reasonable request. Alas, no. A declaration that constraints the types as so: belowThreshold :: [Integer] -> [Integer] belowThreshold = filter (< 5.2) Causes a type error. So what's the story here? Why does doing filter (< 5.2) seem to convert my input list into Doubles? How can I make a version of this function that only accepts integer lists and only returns integer lists? Why does the type system hate me?

• Best way to update UI from other classes?

  I've got several nested classes, with the following structure: BackupLocation contains list of BackupClients BackupClients contains a list of BackupVersions BackupVersions contains a list of BackupFiles In my UI - Im populating a combo box with BackupLocations - and have several listboxes for the clients, versions, and files. When processing the BackupLocations - I can update my status bar easily because thats the top level class that the UI creates. But how can I update the status bar and progress bar on each file being processed? Since the BackupFiles are 3 levels deep, I cant see any way to update the UI. The actual processing of the files are within the BackupVersion class - which loads its files. I think it probably has something to do with events and delegates - but am unsure exactly how to proceed with this, any help would be appreciated.

It says it's uninstalled when I try to remove it from Control Panel->Programs and Features, but the list item is still there, and if I try to remove it again, it brings up the prompt to install it. How do I get rid of this program completely (or at least remove it from the add/remove list)? I don't have Microsoft Office installed (or Visual Studio).

  Hi, I have a Tour object which has many Place objects. For the list of tours, I want to show some info of the tour, the number of places of the tour, and three Place's images. Right one my SQL queries are (i'm using Doctrine with Symfony on MySQL) get Tour get Tour 1 places get Tour 2 places get Tour 3 places ... get Tour n places If I have a three Tour list, it's not so bad; but I'm sure it can get bad if I do a 10-20 tour-list. So, thinking on how to improve the queries I've thought of several measures: Having a place count cache Storing the urls of three images on a new tour field. The problem with 2. is that if I change the image, I have to check all the tours to update that image for another one. What solution do you think is best to scale the system in a near future?
