• getUserPrincipal() in JCIFS / Lan-Manager authentitation level setting in Windows 2k8

  I have to find out in which exact format JCIFS stores the user principal in the "getUserPrincipal()" property. Therefor i created a test Environment like this: Windows Server 2008 Domain Controller Domain named "MYDOMAIN" Many Testusers in Active Directory Tomcat Application Server with my Web Application (which simply reads the user Principal and displays its values). The user should be logged in to the web-application with SSO therefor i need the format that jcifs is using to store the user. (For example user@MYDOMAIN or MYDOMAIN\user...) I tested the Authentication with other SSO frameworks with Kerberos Method and it works as expected. I'm now trying to use SSO through the NTLMHttpFilter of JCIFS. It is stated there, that i have to change the Group policy "Networkaccess: lan-manager authentication level" to respond to NTLMv1 request. I have done this, but it's still not working. So what i also have to configure is the same policy on the client computer. I have to change the policy, so that the client computer sends NTLMv1. But it is always sending NTLMv2 tokens. The problem now is that i'm somehow not able to change this setting. (I already was before) because the dropdown box to choose the authentication method is "greyed out". edit: just to make this clear, this dialog is on the client-side in the "local-security policies" As you can see from this screenshot, the chosen method is "Only send NTLMv2 responses" which is the wrong setting and i'm pretty sure that this is causing the error above. My question is now, why can't i change this setting? Why is it greyd out?

• JBoss thrown error looking up local address when starting

  Hello im installing a fresh Jboss 5.1 in a Centos 5.5 machine. I dont have Apache installed. After that i can run Jboss only from 127.0.0.1:8080 but using localhost:8080 doesnt work. • why am I stuck on "Initiating update" when deploying to google

  I've have not had any trouble deploying through eclipse until now. I'm guessing it might have to do with all the stuff I've added today a folder of .pdf and .tex files (in war/web-inf directory) a bit of JDO stuff and a servlet that reads the files in the directory and indexes them into the JDO Is there any way to find out what exactly is the problem?   Hi, I have below click_log table logging hits for some urls site ip ua direction hit_time ----------------------------------------------------- 1 127.0.0.1 1 20010/01/01 00:00:00 2 127.0.0.1 1 20010/01/01 00:01:00 3 127.0.0.1 0 20010/01/01 00:10:00 .... ......... I want to select incoming hits (direction:1) and group by sites that are: from same ip and browser logged within 10 minutes of each other occured more than 4 times in 10 minutes. I'm not sure if above was clear enough. English is not my first language. Let me try to explain with an example. If site 1 gets 5 hits from same ip and browser with in 10 minutes after getting first unique hit from that ip and browser i want it to be included in the selection. Basically I am trying to find abusers.

  Hi, There is a frequent occurence of FULL GC in our system. We are using Java application running on Tomcat server. Our application is running using internal load balancer setup. We are seeing lot of Full GC's in the server logs due to which the application is hung and Proxy errors are occured. The Java parameter values we are using are: Webapp wrapper: wrapper.java.additional.4=-Xms382M wrapper.java.additional.5=-Xmx1024M Backapp wrapper: wrapper.java.additional.4=-Xms382M wrapper.java.additional.5=-Xmx1024M The error found in webapp wrapper logs: INFO | jvm 1 | 2010/11/26 09:33:19 | [PSYoungGen: 1398460K-140291K(1514624K)] 4623364K-3491394K(5009920K), 0.7285303 secs] [Times: user=1.42 sys=0.00, real=0.72 secs] INFO | jvm 1 | 2010/11/26 09:33:19 | 68539.126: [Full GC DEBUG | wrapperp | 2010/11/26 09:33:19 | send a packet PING : ping Tried to change the JVM values to increase the heap size. • Emulator batteryService not working

  So i've got a 1.6 emulator running. I have a receiver with action power connected and disconnected filters. when i connect to the emulator through telnet and issue the power ac on or power ac off command, logcat shows: 01-11 21:33:01.096: ERROR/BatteryService(67): Could not open '/sys/class/power_supply/usb/online' 01-11 21:33:01.104: ERROR/BatteryService(67): Could not open '/sys/class/power_supply/battery/batt_vol' 01-11 21:33:01.104: ERROR/BatteryService(67): Could not open '/sys/class/power_supply/battery/batt_temp' and my receiver does not get activated. It was working just fine yesterday and now it does not. I tried reinstalling the AVD, and also deleted and reinstalled the SDK from the SDK manager. Works fine in my 2.2 emulator. Any ideas?

I was unable to successfully map between the objects without the custom binding. Finally, one other thing I tried was setting a globalBinding definition: <globalBindings generateValueClass="false"></globalBindings> This caused the server to through an argument mismatch exception since the Soap Message was using xs:string xml types instead of passing the defined complex types, so I abandoned that idea. Any insight into what is causing the MarshalException or how to go about solving the issue of calling the webservice and mapping these objects more easily, is greatly appreciated. I've been searching for days and I sadly think I am stumped.

If I try to ping a machine at the Perimiter network or the Wireless network, it doesn't get routed back to Forefront, and it's the default gateway on all Networks. • ListView slow performance

  I've created a list of recipes using Listview/customcursoradapter. A custom layout includes a photo for the recipe , Now I've some problems with the performance of viewing and scrolling the Listview although it has only 10 records (Target is 150). sometimes i get this error java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: bitmap size exceeds VM budget , I've tried to implement the Async task but i failed to do it. • Why does this Java code not utilize all CPU cores?

  The attached simple Java code should load all available cpu core when starting it with the right parameters. So for instance, you start it with java VMTest 8 int 0 and it will start 8 threads that do nothing else than looping and adding 2 to an integer. Something that runs in registers and not even allocates new memory. The problem we are facing now is, that we do not get a 24 core machine loaded (AMD 2 sockets with 12 cores each), when running this simple program (with 24 threads of course). Similar things happen with 2 programs each 12 threads or smaller machines. So our suspicion is that the JVM (Sun JDK 6u20 on Linux x64) does not scale well. Did anyone see similar things or has the ability to run it and report whether or not it runs well on his/her machine (= 8 cores only please)? Ideas? • Is it normal for Java /Tomcat to keep checking for java_pid<nnnn>.hprof?

  I was monitoring my JVM running Apache Tomcat 6, running on Windows, and I noticed that every 3 seconds or so the JVM process (C:\Tomcat\bin\tomcat6.exe) is polling to see whether or not C:\Tomcatcat\java_pid3748.hprof exists, where 3748 is the Windows process ID. I haven't seen write to the hprof file, just test for existence. (I'm using Sysinternals Process Monitor (procmon.exe) for this monitoring. In procmon the polling shows up as a QueryDirectory operation, which always returns Result "NO SUCH FILE".) Is this normal, or is this a potential red flag? I gather that these hprof files are generated, perhaps among other times, when you enable the -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError Java flag. I haven't enabled it myself, though I guess it could be enabled somehow in the Tomcat startup scripts.

• Where to set java heap options (e.g. -Xmx) for Tomcat 6 under Ubuntu 9.04?

  I'm running Tomcat using the tomcat6 package from Ubuntu 9.04, which makes a daemon out of Tomcat using jsvc. I'd like to know the proper way to set Java heap options like -Xmx for Tomcat. I'd like to put the configuration wherever is most stylistically correct, and wherever is least likely to be overwritten by Ubuntu package updates. The options I see right now: Hard-code them somewhere in /etc/init.d/tomcat6. Hard-code them somewhere in /usr/share/tomcat6/bin/catalina.sh. Create a line in /usr/share/tomcat6/bin/startup.sh to set CATALINA_OPTS to have the desired flags, and then export CATALINA_OPTS as an environment variable. (This looks like it will get picked up by catalina.sh.) The last option sounds like the best one, and it's advocated (without explanation of why) at http://serverfault.com/questions/121038/increasing-javas-heapspace-in-tomcat-startup-script. But I wanted to get a second opinion. Anyone want to confirm that there isn't a better way?
