  • Where does abort() and terminate() "live"?

    Regarding the terminate handler, As i understand it, when something bad happens in code, for example when we dont catch an exception, terminate() is called, which in turn calls abort() set_terminate(my_function) allows us to get terminate() to call a user specified function my_terminate. my question is: where do these functions "live" they don't seem to be a part of the language, but work as if they are present in every single cpp file, without having to include any header file.

    Hey there I'm working on a browser-game and I can't help but wonder about what's the lightest way to make the grid/board on which the game takes place. Right now, as a mere sample, I'll show you this: http://sotkra.com/game/ Now, as the grid gets bigger and bigger, the table and its td's create a very heavy filepage which in turn...sucks in more resources from the browser engine and computer.   • wpf: bind to a style property on main window from UserControl

    I have a UserControl which has a style, that i would like to be influenced by a settings checkbox on the main window hosting my user control so myControl.xaml has a Style which i would like to have a trigger, that should observe a CheckBox inside MainWindow.xaml i know one way to do this, would be to create a local property in myControl.cs which would look at the property in MainWindow.cs which would in turn return state of that cheeckbox.. but maybe there is a way to do this w/out writing any c# code ?

    I have an application on my server that is called leaf.exe, that haves two arguments needed to run, they are: inputfile and outputfile, that will be like this example: pnote.exe input.pnt output.txt The executable is at exec/, inputfile is at upload/ and outputfile is on compiled/. But I need that a PHP could run the application like that, then I want to know: How could I do this on a server that have exec() disabled and I can't turn it on, because I don't have privileges to do it? How could I echo the output of the program?

  • How Does Rails 3's "data-method='delete'" Degrade Gracefully?

    Rails 3 does some cool stuff to make Javascript unobtrusive, so they've done things like this: = link_to "Logout", user_session_path, :method => :delete ..converts to <a href="/logout" data-method="delete" rel="nofollow">Logout</a> But it just occurred to me.. When I turn off javascript the method isn't DELETE anymore, it's GET as expected. So are there plans to, or is there some way to, allow these data- attributes to degrade gracefully, so that link still is a DELETE request?

I have done a bit of research and found several classes developed for a similar purpose, but haven't been able to turn up much that is built into the Windows libraries.     When using the date and views module, you can specify in views (using row style fields) 'group multiple values'. Which is default on. If you turn it off, you get multiple nodes each with a date. For example: - 24th March ------- node1 - 25th March ------- node1 What I'm trying to figure out is: what if you are not using fields but node as Row style. How do you implement this not-group-multiple-values in your type-node.tpl.php?

    I figured out an algorithm that lets me turn my holed polygons into trapezoids in linear time if I have vertex indices sorted from lowest coordinate to highest. I get simple polygons as contours. They have certain order that might be exploited most of the time. So giving these conditions, is there a near-linear-time algorithm on sorting?

I was thinking of implementing an AlertDialog but as I need more than 3 options it is not possible... I also thought of putting my ListView in a FrameLayout and have an view with a gone visibility that I would turn visible at the click and update the content but I don't know If it's a good idea.     The Devise authentication framework uses flash notices everywhere. This makes it easy to integrate with apps but it leads to poor user experience sometimes. I am wondering what's an easy way to selectively turn off some of the Devise flash notices in my Rails 3 app. In particular, I'd like to get rid of the blatantly obvious signed_in and signed_out flashes. Some searching suggested subclassing the session controller or use something like this but I haven't been able to find any simple solutions to this problem.
