  • Silverlight and Windows Phone 7 DFW DevCamp (Silverlightpalooza) is around the corner

    It is really shaping up to be everything I had hoped.  Prizes are stacked up behind me.  Food is in place.  I have a set of wonderful volunteers beside me.  The event has been full for weeks.  I will not be doing any official blogging for this event here.  You will have to watch the official blog for that http://silverlightpalooza.dynamitesilverlight.com/ I plan to post pictures and descriptions of everyone’s projects during the event to that site.  It is going to be wonderful fun.  Shawn will be filming part of the time so stay tuned for that also.  We have some great plans in place!!!  I wish everyone could join us and am very excited for those who signed up in time.

  • Unable to enumerate USB device on port 2 when connecting Android phone

    I'm running Ubuntu 11.10 (64-bit) as a VirtualBox guest on a Win7 64-bit host. When I plug in my Android Epic4g (Galaxy S) both the host and guest see the device properly, however lsusb does not. When I run dmesg I get the following: [ 361.664219] usb 1-2: new full speed USB device number 79 using ohci_hcd [ 362.428798] hub 1-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 2 [ 363.313782] hub 1-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 2 I get the same type of dmesg message with the USB 2.0 (ECHI) Controller enabled and disabled for the guest OS. I'm stuck with this one, can anyone help?

I want to know which one will be efficient? No problem with time and coding. But if i can achieve everything with HTML5-JS itself, i will chose Hybrid development.     I'm working on a 2D game for windows phone where the player moves blocks around to bounce a laser beams. I need to create some simple physics for moving the blocks. For the moment I have a simple collision class, telling me if two rectangles collide. But that's not enough because when I'm moving a block the rectangle/rectangle function doesn't work. By Doesn't work i mean,I manage the collision but I don't how to stop the block mooving while the user sliding the block. The collision response for the block I want is if the user tries to slide it on another object, the block should slide up against the other object and not overlap. How would I go about implementing this functionality?

    Take a simple table like below: Column Headings: || Agent's Name || Time Logged In || Center || Row 1: Andrew || 12:30 PM || Home Base Row 2: Jeff || 7:00 AM || Virtual Base Row 3: Ryan || 6:30 PM || Test Base Now lets say that a single cell is deleted so the table now looks like this: Column Headings: || Agent's Name || Time Logged In || Center || Row 1: Andrew || 12:30 PM || Row 2: Jeff || 7:00 AM || Virtual Base Row 3: Ryan || 6:30 PM || Test Base Notice that "Home Base" is missing. Now in excel you can delete the cell and shift the rest so the finished product looks like below: Column Headings: || Agent's Name || Time Logged In || Center || Row 1: Andrew || 12:30 PM || Virtual Base Row 2: Jeff || 7:00 AM || Test Base Row 3: Ryan || 6:30 PM || And you can see we are left with a blank cell last row. How do I code this procedure of shifting the cells up in SQL? I've been struggling on this problem for weeks! Thank you!
