    I'm trying to write a smallish system as a homework excercise, I don't have much experience with containers and I'm not sure the best way of storing this data would be: Incident Records object holds instants of Incident Report. Report is a superclass which has 3 subclasses, Police, Fire or Medical. Record must must record which of these types apply, and which response teams are to be involved. So Record has to keep track of the Report objects, the type of the report (Police, Fire or Medical) and the teams involved in the reports. I was initially thinking of an array but that wouldn't be sufficient to hold all the info. Record<>---------Report<|----------Police, Fire or Medical

  • Is there a proven concept to website reverse certificate authentication?

    We're looking at exposing some of our internal application data externally via a website. The actual details of the website aren't that interesting, it'll be built using ASP.NET/IIS etc, that might be relevant. With this, I'm essentially I'm looking for a mechanism to authenticate users viewing my website. This sounds trivial, a username/password is typically fine, but I want more. Now I've read plenty about SSL/x.509 to realise that the CA determines that we're alright, and that the user can trust us. But I want to trust the user, I want the user to be rejected if they don't have the correct credentials. I've seen a system for online banking whereby the bank issues a certificate which gets installed on the users' computer (it was actually smartcard based). If the website can't discover/utilise the key-pair then you are immediately rejected! This is brutal, but necessary. Is there a mechanism where I can do the following: Generate a certificate for a user Issue the certificate for them to install, it can be installed on 1 machine If their certificate is not accessible, they are denied all access A standard username/password scheme is then used after that SSL employed using their certificate once they're "in" This really must already exist, please point me in the right direction!     Hi there, I do not have a paid plan for UbuntuOne and do not intend of buying one, but I do like to buy music from the UbuntuOne Music Store. Is it possible to buy music, once I bought more than 2gb or would I have to move the music out of the UbuntuOne share? In this case, I would suggest to put the music in the official ubuntuone-folder instead of a hidden one. Non-technical users will not understand, why their shared music files are not in this folder, but others are popping up there (e.g. in the webinterface). Best Regards, Lars

  • Solution for file store needing large number of simultaneous connections

    So I'm fairly new to large-scale architectures. We're currently using linode instances for our project, but we're brainstorming about scaling. We need a file store system than can deliver ~50mb folders (user data) to our computing instances in a reasonable amount of time (<20 sec), and scale to 10000+ total users, and perhaps 100+ simultaneous transfers. We are also unsure whether to network mount (sshfs/nfs) or just do a full transfer store-instance at the beginning and rsync instance- store at the end. I've experimented with SSH-FS between our little Linode instances but it seems to be bottlenecked at 15mb/s total bandwith, which wouldn't do under 10+ transfer stress let alone scale v. large. I also tried to investigate NFS but couldn't get it working but have little hope that it'll do within our linode network. Are there tools on other cloud providers that match our needs? Should we be mounting, or should we be transferring? Thanks very much!

    Where does Internet Explorer store saved passwords? And since this is a programming site, i'm not literally asking for the location where IE stores passwords, but which API ie uses to save passwords. At first i assumed that Microsoft was using the standard api: CredRead CredWrite which is used to save domain and generic program/web-site credentials. CredRead/CredWrite turn around and use CryptProtectData CryptUnprotectData to encrypt data with the current user's account. CredRead/CredWrite then store the data in some magical location, which contents you can see from the control panel: But i don't see IE passwords in there. So ie doesn't store passwords using CredRead/CredWrite. What api does IE use to store passwords, and if it uses CryptProtectData, where does it then store the protected data?

In one of my form i have use rich text editor from the yahoo. now i want to store the data from that text area to mysql database. bcz user can enter anything in that textarea. as example user can enter many double quotes, or single quotes. so i need to store that data which may content many double quotes or many single quotes, so how to do that? normally we store by adding that data in one variable and then put that in sql then fire. but now variable contents many quotes and now i have problem to store. i can't remove that quotes bcz of my style which is generated by rich text editor. So how can store that data without affecting my styles of data.

    Is there a method allowing me to return my stored data in an ExtJS Grid Panel exactly the way I loaded it using: var data = ["value1", "value2"] Store.loadData(data); I would like to have a user option to reload the Grid, but changes to the store need to be taken into account. The user can make changes and the grid is dynamically updated, but if I reload the grid, the data that was originally loaded is shown even though the database has been updated with the new changes. I would prefer not to reload the page and just let them reload the grid data itself with the newly changed store. I guess im looking for something like this: var data = Store.getData(); //data = ["value1", "value2"] after its all said and done. Or is there a different way to refresh the grid with new data that I am not aware of. Even using the proxy still uses the "original" data, not the new store. Thanks in advance

    I'm currently struggling with Core Data iCloud migration. I want to move a store from an iCloud ubiquity container (.nosync) to a local URL. Problem is whenever I call something like this: NSPersistentStore *newStore = [self.persistentStoreCoordinator migratePersistentStore: currentiCloudStore toURL: localURL options: nil withType: NSSQLiteStoreType error: &error]; I get this error: -[NSPersistentStoreCoordinator addPersistentStoreWithType:configuration:URL:options:error:](1055): CoreData: Ubiquity: Error: A persistent store which has been previously added to a coordinator using the iCloud integration options must always be added to the coordinator with the options present in the options dictionary. If you wish to use the store without iCloud, migrate the data from the iCloud store file to a new store file in local storage. file://localhost/Users/sch/Library/Containers/bla/Data/Documents/tmp.sqlite. This will be a fatal error in a future release Anyone ever seen this error? Maybe I'm just missing the right migration options?

    I am getting the following error during a web service request to a remote web service: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel. --- System.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationException: The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure. Is there anyway to ignore this error, and continue. It seems the remote certificate is not signed.     I have a WCF application hosted on IIS 6 that needs to Have 2-way SSL authentication Validate client certificate content with some client host information Validate client certificate is issued by the valid subCA. I was able to do 1) successfully. I am trying to achieve 2) and 3) by following this - basically creating a class that inherits X509CertificateValidator and overriding the Validate method with my own validation implementation(step 2 and 3). I followed the MSDN instructions exactly however, it seem that the Validate method is not being called. I purposely throw a SecurityAccessDeniedException in the overidden Validate method and no exception is thrown when I tried to access the service via my browser. I can still access my website with any client certificate. I also read this thread but it didn't really help. Any help would be greatly appreciated!     hi i am integrating authorize.net AIM api into my shopping cart. i have a developer account from auth.net and i am working locally. when i do auth.net api call, i get SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK.
