It happends only in Google Chrome (Ubuntu, stable 5.0.360.0), but not in Firefox or Opera. What could be the reason?

  • The best way to implement drawing features like Keynote

    Hi all, I'm trying to make a little iPad tool's for drawing simple geometrical objects (rect, rounded rect, ellipse, star, ...). My goal is to make something very close to Keynote (drawing feature), i.e. let the user add a rect (for instance), resizing it and moving it. I want too the user can select many objects and move them together. I've thought about at least 3 differents ways to do that : Extends UIView for each object type, a class for Rect, another for Ellipse, ... With custom drawing method. Then add this view as subview of the global view. Extends CALayer for each object type, a class for Rect, another for Ellipse, ... With custom drawing method. Then add this layer as sublayer of the global view layer's. Extends NSObject for each object type, a class for Rect, another for Ellipse, ... With just a drawing method which will get as argument a CGContext and a Rect and draw directly the form in it. Those methods will be called by the drawing method of the global view. I'm aware that the two first ways come with functions to detect touch on each object, to add easily shadows,... but I'm afraid that they are a little too heavy ? That's why I thought about the last way, which it seems to be straight forward. Which way will be the more efficient ??? Or maybe I didn't thought another way ? Any help will be appreciated ;-) Thanks.

    Hi all, I have a Web-Application, which is mainly JSP (file extension) and is including some HTML. It seems to me that the "general" way is "old" and not always well red by some IDE like Eclipse: Is there no other way to include jsp expression with "<% ... %". There is no need for a framework to resolve this, since we only have like 60 pages. I run through examples and see that we can seperate the code with blockquotes "< script < /script ". I'm really wondering which is the better method for understanding and easier reading of the code. Any formatting, syntax coloring, plugin or new code style suggestions would help.   • Swimlane Diagram Softwares with Expand/Collapse Features

    I've been searching real hard for a software which can fulfill my needs, but to no avail. I have a swimlane diagram which is extremely huge, and almost impossible to model using Visio or any traditional swimlane software. I would need to model both the operational process, as well as the interactions within an application and between different applications. Therefore, without wasting additional effort modelling these separately, I am looking for a solution which I can combine both views together. That is, possibly one which I can expand/collapse/group/ungroup processes/subprocesses together. Take a typical credit card process for instance, a hypothetical description of the swimlane could be as such: Customer submits application form to the bank Bank Officer A receives the application form and validates that it was correctly filled Bank Officer A submits application form to Bank Officer B for processing. Bank Officer B checks credit quality of the customer through Application X. Application X submits query to Application Y to retrieve Credit Report. Application X retrieves credit report and submits to Application Z for computation of credit scores Bank Officer B validates that customer is credit worthy, and submits application to Bank Officer C for processing. The above is an over-simplified credit card request process, and a purely hypothetical one. What I'm trying to drive at is, each of the above processes have sub-processes, and I want to be able to switch between a "detailed" view and "aggregated" view. If possible, add in time dependency of the different tasks, as well. I haven't been able to find one such software which could do this.

Assume you can add a collection of items to a list and do the usual CRUD , is it preferred to create one feature for this complete set of CRUD actions or a feature for each?     Hello, Because the IP of the SMTP server that is being used by my Gridserver account at Mediatemple is blacklisted I'm looking for an off site SMTP service to send mails from my PHP application to (verification mails, notifications, etc). I'm using CampaignMonitor.com for mass mailings, but for all other mails I would like to use another service. I've checked out smtp.com and smtp-server.com which look okay, but maybe there are better out there? A reporting feature for undeliverables are a huge plus!

    My idea is to create a .jar file that contains Services managed by Spring, that should be got by getBean() I want to put it to WEB-INF/lib of a Web-app Then in web-app Servlets I want to get use of the functionality of a Jar file. 1 Idea. Create classes that encapsulate invokation to Spring Context (getBean() etc) So then, I suppose there'll be no problem in using those in Servlets through jar import. Only thing, what kind of context I should use inside .jar to get beans so that it worked after packing into jar? ApplicationContext or what? 2 Idea. Is there another simple solution how to pack into jar and then use Services in a non-managed by Spring environment?

    I have a survey web-app that is public facing. I want to set up automated testing with Selenium, but selenium can't capture javascript alerts that we're currently using on the site. I'm thinking about changing our user-facing error notifications to some web 2.0 javascript library so that it is accessible to Selenium. However, I'm not sure how many of our users would be able to experience them properly. How backwards-compatible do I need to be in the present day? I have collected a database of actual user-agent strings of our users. I asked here how I could group them into meaningful data about what browsers our users are actually using.

With autoconf I can determine whether shared_ptr is available as std::tr1::shared_ptr and/or boost::shared_ptr. Given that the same feature has two different names, I have the following questions: In the code, how should shared_ptr be referenced? Should std::tr1::shared_ptr be preferred over boost::shared_ptr? My question is what would be the best database layout from the performance point if i want to make search by country, city of the selected country, administrative area or nearest metro station of the selected city. Available countries, cities, administrative areas and metro sations should be defined by the administrator of catalogue and must be validated by geocoding.     so, let's say i have the long/lat or address of many buildings can get satellite images, "street view", and perhaps 3d/perspective views of buildings. want to find: height, number of floors, floor area (max building footprint) of the building. about 200k buildings. Is there a library for recognizing buildings from satellite shots or pictures? Kind of like face detection I suppose. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

  • Controlling new features in Spring/Apache tomcat

    Is there a good way to manage roll out of new software in Spring/Tomcat configuration. The problem I am trying to address is being able to rollback newly deployed software provided there are no hard dependencies on other moving pieces. For example changed the guts of an algorithm and now want to deploy the new software with the new change off by default and then turning it on on one of the web servers. An obvious way is to build a session object which has a map of key-value pairs(property,bool) which is populated from a db on a session startup and then the value is persisted for that session. This is so that if the value is reverted back existing sessions which started with the original value retain the original value and giving application consistency. Is there a more obvious inbuilt mechanism to do this?
