  • Include a tpl file with variables (Smarty)

    I have a "links.tpl" file which contains lines with many variables such as below {assign var=link_main value="index.php"} {assign var=link_login value="?a=login"} but when i include this file in home.tpl using {include file="file.tpl"} the variables {$link_main}, {$link_login} are not included i put the {assign var=link_main value="index.php"} in home.tpl and it works but not from included file i have tried adding scope=global to variable and parent to include but nothing happened I tried the last few hours finding a solution, any help is appreciated

    I working on a project in Obj-C where i have a base class (ViewController) and a Derived Class (MultiPlayer). Now i have declared certain variables and properties in the base class. My properties are getting accessed from the derived class but im not able to access the variables (int,char and bool type). I'm completely new to Obj-C so i have no clue whats wrong. I have used the data types which are used in C and C++. Is there some specific way to declare variables in Obj-C?? If so, How?   • Pass PHP variables without being seen when working with a database generated list

    Looking for any help regarding the problem. Here's the deal: I have a database that has a teams table and it contains team_id. On one of my pages, I generate a list of links that contain the team_id of the creator in their get URL. I need the team_id on the next page but can't figure out how to pass it through any other way. Using a form and POST isn't an option because this method would only pass through the last links data on the list. Storing in a session isn't an option either because there is no way to discretely pass the the variables I need to a function to set the session variables. I have tried and it can pretty easily be viewed from viewing the source code. So here's some sample code to see exactly what I'm dealing with. <? if(mysql_num_rows($result2)>0){ ?> <a class="fltrt btn btn-danger btn-small" onclick="test()" href="acceptmatch-exec.php?match_id=<?php echo $match_id; ?>&team_id=<?php echo $team_id;?>&action=cancel">Cancel Match</a> <?}else{?> <a class="fltrt btn btn-success btn-small" href="acceptmatch-exec.php?match_id=<?php echo $match_id; ?>&team_id=<?php echo $team_id;?>&action=accept">Accept Match</a> <?} ?> The code above is generated multiple times on a page via a while loop that was excluded. I want to pass the match_id and team_id variables without being seen anywhere. If I made this a form, it wouldn't pass the correct variables unless there is only one result at the time (not likely). I'm sure there has to be an easy method that is eluding me, so please share thoughts on how to solve this. I feel as though I am not explaining it well enough, but it's not really easy to explain. I basically want something that works like GET but acts like POST and can be hidden from people viewing source code or link locations. Thanks

    Due to some restrictions I am being forced to load a library written in C at runtime. A third party provides two library to me as static archives which we turn into shared objects. The application I'm working with loads one of the libraries at runtime based on some hardware parameters. Unfortunately one of the libraries is configured largely with global variables. I am already using dlsym to load function references but can I used dlsym to load references to these global variables as well?

  • Session Variables lost between pages reloads

    I was forced to move to IIS 7 when the server running our IIS 6 died. Nothing in the web app has changed, but it's obvious the environment has dramatically. The app fails between pages because the session variables are lost during redirect. I am not an expert on app pools but my impression from reading several posts is that the app pool is being recycled immediately. While they give a reason, they offer no help in how to resolve this. Can someone explain to a newb how to properly configure the DefaultAppPool?

  • Schedled Tasks and Environment Variables

    I have a scheduled task, a batch file, that uses an environment variables which is set system-wide. On server 1, the scheduled task runs under a domain account and the environment variable works. The environment variable also exists in my session and when I runas as the service account. On server 2, the scheduled task runs under a different domain account and the environment variable DOES NOT work. However, the environment variable does exist in my session and when I runas as the service account. On both servers the environment variable has been set system-wide by the same script originally. The script runs again every now and then and as far as I can see noone has tempered with the environment variable. The scheduled tasks are set up identically on the two servers (using the same XML file) and the two service accounts are identically configured (as far as I know). What am I doing wrong?

  • Problem retrieving multiple instances of the same asp.net session variable

    I'm having problems with retrieving multiple instances of a session variable from an InProc session state. In the following code I persist a simple BusinessObject into a session variable on the Page_Load event. On the click of a button I try to retrieve the object back into 2 new declared instances of the same BusinessObject. All works great until I change one of the properties in the first instance, it changes the second instance as well. Is this normal behaviour? I would have thought as these were new instances they wouldn’t demonstrate static behaviour? Any ideas where I'm going wrong?     We have a SQL 2008 instance Server01\instance02. The port is set to 1466. We've set up a VIP named Server1 Attempting to connect to Server1\instance02 does not work. Server1,1466 does work. We have ports 1433, 1434 and 1466 open. Can we configure this to be able to use the name without any changes to the SQL client. Thanks!!

    I was not able to start the SQL Server 2008 R2 production DB instance. After reading the log file error message is " The log scan number passed to log scan in database ‘master’ is not valid. This error may indicate data corruption or that the log file (.ldf) does not match the data file (.mdf). If this error occurred during replication, re-create the publication." After reading several post i realize that my MASTER DB file is corrupted. I have followed the below setup Copy the Master.mdf and Masterlog.ldf file from Template location to My Database Data folder. C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Binn\Templates to D:\MSSQL\MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA Note: Same error occur when i copy the all DB file like Master, MasterLog, MSDBData, MSDBlog, Model and ModelLog When i run my MSSQLSEVER instance different problem occur. In My server i had only C, D- Drive i dont have the E drive. How can i override these below error path.     I have this problem I've already posted on the Amazon AWS forum. Unfortunately I haven't got a clear answer I and I was hoping you guys could help. Here's the link: http://developer.amazonwebservices.com/connect/thread.jspa?messageID=198238#198207 Basically I don't know why after associating an Elastic IP address and mapping it to one of my domains, FTP an ping work fine, but HTTP does a 302 redirect to the Amazon AWS hostname I had before associating the Elastic IP address. Here's the question from the AWS forum: I have an EC2 instance with HTTP and FTP installed. They both worked. Then I associated an Elastic IP address to that instance. Then I mapped that IP address to a name which is a subdomain of a domain I own. I think it's an A name (I didn't do the mapping personally). Now FTP works and HTTP doesn't. The AWS host name before the Elastic IP association: ec2-184-73-27-8.compute-1.amazonaws.com The AWS IP address and host name after the association: 174.129.7.254 and ec2-174-129-7-254.compute-1.amazonaws.com The domain which is mapped to 174.129.7.254 using an A record is: demo.flashxml.net FTP works means that I can connect to both 174.129.7.254, ec2-174-129-7-254.compute-1.amazonaws.com and demo.flashxml.net. HTTP doesn't work means that a HTTP request to 174.129.7.254, ec2-174-129-7-254.compute-1.amazonaws.com or demo.flashxml.net returns a 302 redirect to ec2-184-73-27-8.compute-1.amazonaws.com Here is my VirtualHost file: <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot /home/ec2-user/public_html/wordpress ServerName demo.flashxml.net ErrorLog logs/ec2-user-error_log <Directory /home/ec2-user/public_html/wordpress> AllowOverride FileInfo Order Deny,Allow Allow from All </Directory> </VirtualHost> I finally figured out what was wrong. It's the fact that I installed Wordpress on the server using the hostname provided by Amazon. After associating the Elastic IP and updating the DNS records, the server was reachable - FTP working was the proof of that. The 302 redirect when accessing via HTTP was caused by Wordpress's hostname settings. So, what I've learned from all this was that I should setup my IP and DNS first and only after that install Wordpress or any other web app(s).

    Hi, We have a Windows 2008 cluster with several SQL 2008 instance. We would like to run a script that modifies 4 registry keys prior to the startup of SQL. I do not know if there is a way to have a script run through Windows 2008 clustering that does that. I have a VBS script to do it and tried to add a Generic Script to an existing cluster group, but it failed saying it could not be registered. Any ideas?

  • Node app crashes after a while on micro EC2 instance even with supervisor

    I'm using supervisor to start my node.js application on a micro EC2 instance. However, the app only stays running for some time until it eventually shuts down. Not exactly sure how long the app stays running but I'm guessing for about a few hours or so. Sometimes less. My question is where on the remote server should I be looking in order to debug this kind of issue? I'm running an Amazon Linux AMI.
