  Im going through the different options of creating a custom UINavigationBar and since my app is iOS 5+, i am using this code: // Set the background image all UINavigationBars [[UINavigationBar appearance] setBackgroundImage:NavigationPortraitBackground forBarMetrics:UIBarMetricsDefault]; Now i want a custom image button on the very right side and am a bit lost. Should I go another way, subclass UINavigationBar and add a button to it or would there be an easier way?

  I have the following tables/columns: Parent: ParentID Child: ChildID ParentID SubChild: SubChildID ChildID Date Parent has 1 to Many relationship with Child Child has 1 to Many relationship with SubChild For every Parent, I need to get the SubChild with the most recent Date value. How can I do this using SQL. I've tried using MAX(Date), but I can't seem to figure out how to join Parent and Child successfully. The ideal result set would contain all the Parents joined with all the SubChild columns of the latest record. Note: using MS SQL 2005+

The query below works great, but performing a joined subselect seems impossible in HQL is it not?! E.g Post can have 0 or more Tags User can have 0 or more Tags Is there a better way in JPA than having to make all the entities subclass something like Taggable abstract class?   Hi I have set the background of my UITable with a custom image. self.tableView.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; self.tableView.backgroundColor = [UIColor colorWithPatternImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"background.png"]]; The problem im having is the background image is scrolling and doesn't look good at the top and bottom of the screen where you see the image being joined. Is there a way to fix the position of the background image and just have the table scroll over the top of it?

  The Twitter app is a tab bar app on the iPhone. Nothing in any of the tabs will rotate, yet, when you click on a link from a tweet, the view controller that is pushed on top of it IS allowed to rotate. The only rotations I have ever doe is from tilting the device, landscape or portrait, but I don't understand how to use 2d transformations and animations to rotate views. How do you rotate any view with that's a subclass of UIView?
