Google Analytics allow you to view how many users completed funnels through a set of pages in order to reach a goal URL. The service also allows you to pass custom variables when tracking a page view.
Is it possible to combine the two, such that I create a funnel based upon the vale of a custom variable set for each visitor?
While updating the firmware on my parent's WNR3500v1, I bricked it.
Basically, all that happens now is the power light just flashed.
I tried pressing the factory reset button for up to a minute with the power on as well as with the power off. To no avail.
Is there anything that can be done other than try to RMA it?
Googling around, I found…
I am looking for a (free) blog engine (Wordpress...) that handles sections of code well, that is, I could just markup a portion of my entry as code and it would indent/format appropriately, much like SF does right below:
static void Build()
{
Indexer.BuildIndex();
}
I know that I can add command line parameters to the grub2 command line by editing
/etc/default/grub according to this answer
How do I add a boot parameter to grub2 in Ubuntu 10.10?
However, that would apply to ALL kernels would it not?
How do I apply the command line parameters to specific kernels? i.e. only xen.
I'm wanting to append…
We have 4 network cards in a Proliant server with Server 2008R2 running Exchange 2010, with 1 card set to a static IP address and the other 3 set to DHCP.
I just need some clarification as I have not teamed network cards.
Do all the network cards need to have a static IP when I set as a team.
The connection that has the static IP is the…
I'm running a Haunted House exhibit at my school to raise money, and I had the idea of taking pictures of the "victims"/students remotely with my Sony DSLR camera and then printing and selling the photos as the students exit the haunted House (much like amusement parks do with roller coasters as you go down the final drop, or when one…
Are there any windows applications that serve video from a server's local disk to h264 flash viewable through the browser on your local network?
I'm thinking that on machine1, I'd have a folder with a ton of videos. This program would serve the videos on a website visible at http://machine1/myvids and that it would serve them in h264…
Hi all,
I want to make sure I'm not crazy, because I can't get any of the effects demos to work on jQuery's demo pages. I thought it might be my new Firebug version (1.5.2) or Firefox in general, but they're not working in IE or Chrome either.
Here are the links where the demos aren't working. One is for highlight, and the other is…
Okay, I'm not a server administrator, a network guy, or a DBA. I'm merely a programmer helping out a small company. They have IT guy who isn't MS centric (most stuff is on Mac) and he and I are trying to figure out a solution here.
We've got 1 main database. We run nightly full backups. I know they are full backups because I…
I have a terminal server that was restored from an old 1U server to an IBM HS20 Blade running ESXi.
The restore was using shadow protect hardware independent restore. All appeared to be functioning well but we're finding that users are being periodically kicked off after around 5 minutes or so.
The interesting thing is it…
Where can I download a virus, work, trojan, etc. for analysis? Yes, I'm actually hunting for malware, rather than keeping it at bay and hiding behind antivirus software and firewalls. I plan to analyze it in a lab for a project, but don't know where to even begin finding one.
We have a production server with a wildcard SSL certificate. I'm in the process of creating a backup/failover server that will host the same domains, and therefore will also need the SSL certificate.
The certificate on the primary server was installed with the private key non-exportable, so I am unable to export the…
So here is the situation. I currently run a mail server for my small non-profit company. My mail server (Merak Mail Server) keeps logs in .log files and mail as .tmp files. Essentially these are just text files that are kept on the server.
Problem is that when I put text into the "Containing text" field on Windows…
In OneNote options I've set a particular default font. Then I selected all text in a particular notebook section and change it to the new font. However, whenever I insert a new line in that existing body of text, it reverts to a font that isn't my default. Almost as if the incorrect "style" information is somehow…
Hi,
I'm looking at buying a 3 year old blade server. My question is, if I buy it and want to insert a current model blade, will it fit?
Also, if the chassis goes "POP" and I need to replace it, will the current model chassis fit 3 year old blades?
What about Power supply replacements?
The chassis I'm looking at…
I have a computer on a windows Active Directory network for which reverse dns lookup fails. It doesn't matter which machine runs the lookup. The problem computer is a debian vm on a windows server 2003 host.

So i'm really loving the whole gnome-do/docky thing. My question is that on other docks, you can hold down a modifier key to launch a new instance rather then switching to an already opened instance of an app. So lets say I have chrome on the win7 dock
first click launches chrome
other clicks will…
I have a batch file for saving event logs to our shared drive. I want to do this for XP and Server 2003 without very much effort. What could I use since Wevtutil is only on Vista and up?
rem Script start here
rem Timestamp Generator
set BACKUP_PATH=\\shared-drive\it\Temp\Event-Logs\
rem Parse the…
Recently I had my motherboard burn out on me. Needing the machine for work, I purchased a different motherboard and installed that. Generally a reinstall of windows is good at that point but I am not in a position to do that so I just decided I would live with it for now. When I can log-in,…
According to this and this, Wordpress.com blogs can be mapped to a custom domain (e.g.: example.com). However, I don't see anything that says it can be mapped to a subdomain (e.g.: blog.example.com) or a path within a domain (e.g.: example.com/blog).
Does anyone have any experience with this…
Like many others, I have a process for bookmarking web pages to read later. My requirements for web page bookmarking are:
Ability to bookmark pages must be available from all (within reason) platforms - PC/browser, mobile device, etc.
Bookmarks must be centrally stored (implicit from #2) so…
We have a Brother HL-5340D printer with an extra tray installed.
The driver is configured locally and is working with the extra tray.
However, when I connect into the server (which has the same driver installed), the server
is not able to print to the other tray and the printing preferences…
I am getting dozens of 404 errors on my site that are requests for gif's with apparently random names, like 4273uaqa.gif and 5pwowlag.gif.
I see that most of them are coming from one user. I assume something is happening in the background on her machine without her knowledge. I assume it's…
I often need to remotely manage PC and Macs for desktop support. I'm after a remote desktop management support tool that I could email (or send a url) that the customer could click on (or run) and I could then remotely manage their PC/Mac
A tool that could work on both operating systems…
