  • Crystal report - Conversion from text to decimal ?

    I have a crystal report, which takes data from an XML template. For a particular field of report, say 'Cost' the database stored procedure send data to XSD file in decimal format , but when the crystal report displays data picking from XSD, it is rounded off. When i right click on other data fields of report, I can see 'Field:table1.columnname',. But when i click on 'Cost' field, it shows 'Text:'. To my understanding, this is a text field which is mapped to pick data from XSD and since the type is text, it gives result in text hence truncating the decimal. Please suggest how can I get decimals here. P.S: This code was created by someone else, so i have no idea on what they had set at that time. I have to fix it and i have no clue about it.

    How do you determine whether the content for the detail page being displayed is filled by a specific subreport? For example, consider two subreports on the same master report, using different detail bands: Detail 1 Detail 2 The header on the master report should show certain fields on pages where the subreport in the Detail 2 band is printed. A Return Value from the subreport in the Detail 2 band only seems to be set after the report has finished, even though the Reset type for the variable (in both the master and the subreport) is set to Page. (Setting it to Report also does not help.)

  • How do I manage report paging in HTML?

    I have a small, custom crafted HTML report, not using any reporting engine, for various reasons. The client's layout is quite handy, as each report section fits on its own page, so I have one div for each page, with a CSS class of .page, setting A4 dimensions with margin, and a header image. Each 'page' also has a small header table just under the header image, and a section heading label. Now, some sections threaten to overflow their page, and I'm looking at ways to handle this. One clumsy approach is to include a second page for those sections that might overflow, and delete these pages before rendering if they are empty. If I do this, how can I 'tell' content on one page to overflow into the next page? The report is finished and a once off effort, so I'm not keen to convert it into a SSRS or Telerik report just to achieve this paging.

    I have recently installed SQL Server 2012 Developer on my laptop. I created a simple SSRS report using AdventureWorks201. The report builds fine but will not deploy. I get the error "The specified report server URL http:/localhost/Reports_MSSQLSERVER2012 could not be found" I am able to browse to said URL without issue. I can even upload the report and run it just fine. I am using an administrator account in both cases (on the URL and within SSDT). Is there some reason why SSDT cannot see the URL I am specifying?

  • SSRS 2008: How to do multiple values report?

    Hi everyone, Right now I have an application which uses Reporting Services to render reports. This is working nicely, I call each report with a given value (e.g. a ClientId), and the report gets rendered correctly. However, what I'd like to do now is being able to send multiple ClientIDs to the report, and would like to get 1 pdf file with count(ClientsIDs) pages, each containing the report, according to the ClienID. How is that possible? I don't really know how to name what I want to do, so I don't really find answers on the net right now. Maybe someone has a tutorial for me? Thanks in advance !

Although with page-break and css i can produce a good looking report, i want to export that report to a pdf in order to be printed better without ,the url,page title and other stuff that browsers add. Note in Chrome there isnt page setup!!!     I'm a novice with Microsoft Access as my background is mostly .NET. I'm sure what I'm trying to accomplish is dead simple but I need some direction. I have a report and a query. The query returns a single numeric value based on a single numeric criteria. Select total from table where id = [topic] I have placed a text box on my report so I can feed the id to this query and in return get the total. It seems like DLookUp is what I want but no matter how I construct it, I get an "#Error" in the text box when I run the report. Currently my DLookUp looks like this (I just hard-coded now for simplicity): =DLookUp("[total]","myquery","[topic] = 3") How can I pass a value from a field on my report to a query so I can return the query's single numeric value?   • finding ALL cycles in a huge sparse matrix

    Hi there, First of all I'm quite a Java beginner, so I'm not sure if this is even possible! Basically I have a huge (3+million) data source of relational data (i.e. A is friends with B+C+D, B is friends with D+G+Z (but not A - i.e. unmutual) etc.) and I want to find every cycle within this (not necessarily connected) directed graph. I've found this thread (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/546655/finding-all-cycles-in-graph/549402#549402) which has pointed me to Donald Johnson's (elementary) cycle-finding algorithm which, superficially at least, looks like it'll do what I'm after (I'm going to try when I'm back at work on Tuesday - thought it wouldn't hurt to ask in the meanwhile!). I had a quick scan through the code of the Java implementation of Johnson's algorithm (in that thread) and it looks like a matrix of relations is the first step, so I guess my questions are: a) Is Java capable of handling a 3+million*3+million matrix? (was planning on representing A-friends-with-B by a binary sparse matrix) b) Do I need to find every connected subgraph as my first problem, or will cycle-finding algorithms handle disjoint data? c) Is this actually an appropriate solution for the problem? My understanding of "elementary" cycles is that in the graph below, rather than picking out A-B-C-D-E-F it'll pick out A-B-F, B-C-D etc. but that's not the end of the world given the task. E / \ D---F / \ / \ C---B---A d) If necessary, I can simplify the problem by enforcing mutuality in relations - i.e. A-friends-with-B <== B-friends-with-A, and if really necessary I can maybe cut down the data size, but realistically it is always going to be around the 1mil mark. z) Is this a P or NP task?! The elements of all the other rows of the resulting matrix is wrong. By the way I am using pyopencl. I don't know what I mistake I am doing here. I have spent the entire day with no luck. I've also tried going for partial matrix assignment (IE, resMatrix[i,x] <- 1) where i is the number of the string and x is the vector of factors. No dice there either, as it seems to keep on running infinitely.

    I have a matrix-style table in excel where B1:Z1 are column headings and A2:A99 are row headings. I would like to convert this table to a 3 column table (column heading, row heading, cell value). It does not matter in what order the new table is. The COUNTA() formula returns the number of cells that actually have values, which limits the number of rows returned to headings*rows. Otherwise the formulas would could go on for infinity because of the MOD function.

    We just deployed the latest Citrix XenApp 6 onto Server 2008 R2, and we'd like to run an application usage report. I've googled around, but all the how-to's seem to be aimed at XenApp 5 and lower, when apparently it was much easier. I came across this Citrix expert thread: http://forums.citrix.com/thread.jspa?threadID=265554 Which gives a powershell command, Get-XAApplicationReport, but when I run that on our Citrix Server in PS2 it says it's not recognized. Do I need to register the Citrix commands in PS some how? Is there a better way to generate the application usage report?

  • Unable to connect to the Report Server

    Win/7 Professional SQL Server 2008 R2 Express Reporting Services Configuration Manager When I launch it, shows correct Server Name, but report server instance is blank. When I press FIND I get: "Unable to connect to the Report Server " This is my development workstation, so no IIS installed. Seems to work fine on XP. SSMS works fine - no issues. I tried uninstalling SQL Server completely, rebooting, reinstalling a fresh download. Same result. I've googled every article I can find - nothing. Can anyone point me in the right direction in case you've come across this yourself? Thanks.

    From what documentation I could find, the UPS should be (is!) supported by Linux and ought to work with apcupsd. I looked for specific problems such as the infamous Microlink protocol, and found none. I have found a feedback from a guy in UK that reports using this very model on a not-too-different OS version (his OpenSuSE 12.1, mine 12.3 x86_64). So everything tells me that it should work -- only it doesn't. Does anyone spot what I'm missing?
