  I have a bunch of int key fields in my index and trying to do a simple range search like this: `gender:1 AND height:[120 TO 180]` This should give me male in the height range 120 to 180. But for some reason i get this exception: `At least one range query boundary term must be non-empty term` How would i debug this? Is it just Zend_Search_Lucene being buggy?

  I am trying to download a page using Silverlight 4 (http://google.com/) from a different domain than where the app is hosted. I'm simply curious if this is possible in the browser. I know I can do it out of the browser, as I tried it already, but trying it in the browser gives a security exception (understandable). I'd like to know if this can even be done, and if so, how?   So say you have a three tier application with the tiers UI, Services, and Repository for a simple application, let's say saving addresses. If AddressService has an interface IAddressService, where does that interface belong? I know that "in the address service" may seem like an obvious answer, but if it's in the address service it would seem to defeat the point of having the interface such that any service library could be swapped in as long as it implemented IAddressService. (specifically this is in a .net problem space, but it's probably more general so it's tagged architecture)

When I create a test program with 2 threads lock method seems to be waiting to acquire the lock (both exclusive and non exclusive) But when the number threads increases in the acutal scenario over lapping file lock exception is thrown and processing slows down due the block at File lock table. What is the best way to acquire lock avoiding the OverlappingFileLockException ?
