• facebook connect for android returns a blank login screen?

  Hi, i am trying to use the old facebook connect authentication to authenticate my android client to get the necessary session id's and other credentials thats needed to start using the web service of facebook. the issue i am having is that when my android application launces and tries to load the login page for facebook, that very same login page is blank and it only displays the the facebook logo as the title of the screen. • Maven freezes while perfoming scm:update on VSS

  Im trying to get source files from VSS using Maven. But when I execute command mvn -DvssDirectory="C:\Program Files\VisualSourceSafe\win32" scm:update the log goes to [INFO] [scm:update {execution: default-cli}] [INFO] Executing: cmd.exe /X /C ""C:\Program Files\VisualSourceSafe\win32\ss" Get $/TEST -R -I- -GWS" [INFO] Working directory: C:\temp\test and then nothing happens. No error, no success. Can someone advice how to proceed with downloading sources from VSS?

• PostgreSQL to Data-Warehouse: Best approach for near-real-time ETL / extraction of data

  Background: I have a PostgreSQL (v8.3) database that is heavily optimized for OLTP. I need to extract data from it on a semi real-time basis (some-one is bound to ask what semi real-time means and the answer is as frequently as I reasonably can but I will be pragmatic, as a benchmark lets say we are hoping for every 15min) and feed it into a data-warehouse. How much data? At peak times we are talking approx 80-100k rows per min hitting the OLTP side, off-peak this will drop significantly to 15-20k. The most frequently updated rows are ~64 bytes each but there are various tables etc so the data is quite diverse and can range up to 4000 bytes per row. The OLTP is active 24x5.5. Best Solution? From what I can piece together the most practical solution is as follows: Create a TRIGGER to write all DML activity to a rotating CSV log file Perform whatever transformations are required Use the native DW data pump tool to efficiently pump the transformed CSV into the DW Why this approach? TRIGGERS allow selective tables to be targeted rather than being system wide + output is configurable (i.e. into a CSV) and are relatively easy to write and deploy. SLONY uses similar approach and overhead is acceptable CSV easy and fast to transform Easy to pump CSV into the DW Alternatives considered .... Using native logging (http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.3/static/runtime-config-logging.html). Problem with this is it looked very verbose relative to what I needed and was a little trickier to parse and transform. However it could be faster as I presume there is less overhead compared to a TRIGGER. Certainly it would make the admin easier as it is system wide but again, I don't need some of the tables (some are used for persistent storage of JMS messages which I do not want to log) Querying the data directly via an ETL tool such as Talend and pumping it into the DW ... problem is the OLTP schema would need tweaked to support this and that has many negative side-effects Using a tweaked/hacked SLONY - SLONY does a good job of logging and migrating changes to a slave so the conceptual framework is there but the proposed solution just seems easier and cleaner Using the WAL Has anyone done this before? Want to share your thoughts?

  Hello, I'm getting the error "Invalid URI: The format of the URI could not be determined" when customizing it. I've made several changes to the configuration files and UI, but I keep getting this error. It isn't logging it too in the event log nor the log files, which makes it very annoying to debug. So how do I figure out where the error is coming from? Is it with the URL that's pointing to the ReportServer2005.asmx file, or something else?   About six months ago, I have moved a website to a new domain, and helped migration using 301 redirects into .htaccess of the old domain. This morning I was looking at AwStats log of the new domain, and was surpised to notice that in the "HTTP Status codes"section, 301 redirects score 77% of the whole codes (seems 200 are not tracked here). So, what is the proper meaning of the 301 code in those stats? Does it mean that 77% of traffic is incoming (referrer) from 301 redirects or?

  Hi, I have a facebook connect installation on ilovefootball.com.au When they log in, we previously didn't ask Users for permission to get their email address, but the owner of the site wished to ask for users email to contact them later. If we didn't ask for their email address, is there a way to contact a Facebook connect user simply by knowing their name and Facebook UID?   I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 new clean install , not a VM, that I have added to a Windows Server 2003 based domain using my account which has domain admin rights. The domain functional level is 2003. I performed a clean install of SQL Server 2008 R2 using my account which has domain admin rights. The installation completed without any errors. I logged into SSMS locally and attempted to add another domain account by clicking Search, Advanced and finding the user in the domain. When I return to the "Dialog - New" window and click OK I receive the following error: Create failed for Login 'Domain\User'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo) An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo) Windows NT user or group 'Domain\User' not found. Check the name again. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 15401) I have verified that the firewall is off, tried adding a different domain user, tried using SA to add a user, installed the hotfix for KB 976494 and verified that the Local Security Policy for Domain Member: Digitally encrypt or sign secure channel Domain Member: Digitally encrypt secure channel Domain Member: Digitally sign secure channel are disabled none of which have made a difference. I can RDP to a Server 2003 server running SQL 2008 and add the same domain user without issue. Also if I try to connect with SSMS to the sql server from another system on the domain using my account I get the following error: Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 18452) and on the database server I see the following in the security event log: An account failed to log on.   I'm trying to create an html table for order logs for customers. A customer is defined as (I've left out a lot of stuff): public class Customer { public LazyList<Order> Orders { get; set; } } The LazyList is set when fetching a Customer: public Customer GetCustomer(int custID) { Customer c = ... c.Orders = new LazyList<Order>(_repository.GetOrders().ByOrderID(custID)); return c; } The order log model: public class OrderLogTableModel { public OrderLogTableModel(LazyList<Order> orders) { Orders = orders; Page = 0; PageSize = 25; } public LazyList<Order> Orders { get; set; } public int Page { get; set; } public int PageSize { get; set; } } and I pass in the customer.Orders after loading a customer. But the problem is evaluating ViewData.Model.Orders.Count() literally takes about 10 minutes. I've tried with the ViewData.Model.Orders.Count property instead, and the results are the same - takes forever. I've also tried calling _repository.GetOrders().ByCustomerID(custID).Count() directly from the view and that executes perfectly within a few ms. Can anybody see any reason why using the LazyList to get a simple count would take so long? It seems like its trying to iterate through the list when getting a simple count.

It seems unlikely as several other buttons do the same without issue. How about the native layer? Could some code I've built with the NDK be causing the issue? • SSLException: Keystore does not support enabled cipher suites

  I want to implement a small android application, that works as SSL Server. After lot of problems with the right format of the keystore, I solved this and run into the next one. My keystore file is properly loaded by the KeyStore class. But when I try to open the server socket (socket.accept()) the following error is raised: javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Could not find any key store entries to support the enabled cipher suites. I generated my keystore with this command: keytool -genkey -keystore test.keystore -keyalg RSA -keypass ssltest -storepass ssltest -storetype BKS -provider org.bouncycastle.jce.provider.BouncyCastleProvider -providerpath bcprov.jar with the Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy for Java SE6 applied to my jre6. I got a list of supported ciphers suites by calling socket.getSupportedCipherSuites() that prints a long list with very different combinations. But I don't know how to get a supported key. I also tried the android debug keystore after converting it to BKS format using portecle but get still the same error. Can anyone help and tell how I can generate a key that is compatible with one of the cipher suites?   I've boiled down my page to the simplest possible thing, and it still doesn't work in IE8. You can configure the Connect URL in the Application Settings Editor. I've sanitized the Connect URL above, but it is correct. The dialog does have username/password fields. If I log in, the dialog box gets redirected to my Connect URL, but there's no fb cookie, so of course nothing works. What am I doing wrong here?

I need to grab that sound from the microphone, encode it to some lower quality stream, and send it as a datagram packet via UDP. And I cant seem to see the connection between TargetDataLine and Player. Basically, I need to get the sound form player, and somehow convert it to bytes[], therefore I can sent it as datagram. Any ideas? Everything is acceptable, as long as it works :)
