  • Strange Apache Webdav situation (OSX Will connect, Ubuntu will not)

    - by mewrei
So basically my situation is that I have an Apache 2.2 webserver running on Linux on another box, and I have it configured to serve up webdav. Now here's the weird part, I can access the server just fine on my Mac using the "Connect to Server" dialog (even moved like 5GB of files over the connection). On my Ubuntu desktop cadaver will connect as well and allow me to browse. However when I try to use Xmarks (BYOS Edition) or the GNOME "Connect to Server" dialog, it gives me a 403 Forbidden error. My server does digest authentication if that makes any difference. Here's part of my apache2.conf file <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot "/path" <Directory "/path"> Dav on AuthType Digest AuthName iTools AuthDigestDomain "/" AuthUserFile /path/to/WebDavUsers Options None AllowOverride None <LimitExcept GET HEAD OPTIONS> require valid-user </LimitExcept> Order allow, deny Allow from All </Directory> <Directory "/path/*/Public"> Options +Indexes </Directory> <Directory "/path/user"> <LimitExcept GET HEAD OPTIONS> require user user </LimitExcept> </Directory> </VirtualHost>

  • Deciphering an IIS6 Httperr log file

    - by smackaysmith
    We have a Windows 2003 R2 SP2 server with iis6 that is creating a 1024kb httperr file every minute. I can't figure out what I'm looking at. Here's a snippet: 2010-03-24 13:15:05 10.53.2.35 1667 10.53.2.12 80 HTTP/1.1 PUT /hserver.dll?&V01|&IMAC=0080646077AB|CID=32|CN=LWT0080646077AB|ED=1|IP=10.53.2.35|SM=255.255.255.0|GW=10.53.2.1|SN=10.53.2.255|DM=logs.com|1D=10.53.2.12|2D=10.101.2.12|0D=1|AL=/usr/sbin/netxserv|AV=4.1.0.0|CP=VIAüEstherüprocessorüü800MHz|CPS=800|RM=190512|B1=1.18|PD2=1024x768x16ü@ü60Hz|IM=6.6.2-02|CI=3600|SN#=6KHDG301300|OS=23|VI=1|P1=24|TZO=-301|TZ=CDT|FS=128|MD=2003-04|CO=|LO=|AP0=BaseüSystem|NA|6.6.2-02|AP1=RapportüAgent|NA|4.1.0-3.26|AP2=TrueType|NA|6.8.0-3.4|AP3=WebFonts|NA|2.0.4-3.6|AP4=TrueTypeüFonts|NA|6.8.0-3.5|AP5=Network_login|NA|1.0.0-1.0.3|AP6=ScreenüSaver|NA|3.13|AP7=DMonitor|NA|1.0.0-0.4.0|AP8=MozillaüFirefox_15|NA|1.5.0.8-3.6|AP9=RemoteüShadow|NA|3.17|AP10=RemoteüDesktop|NA|1.6.0-1.0|AP11=SNMP|NA|5.1.3.1-3.13|AP12=LinuxüPrinting|NA|3.8.27-3.33|AP13=SSH|NA|3.8.1-3.25|AP14=ThinPrint|NA|6.2.87-0.2|AP15=XDMCP|NA|6.8.0-3.29|AP16=Ericom|NA|8.2.0-3.29|AP17=Daylightüsavingütimeüupdate|NA|1.1.0-1.0.0| 411 - LengthRequired - What on earth am I looking at? • Programmer configuring a new network

    - by David Lively
I'm in the process of expanding my home network from a couple of laptops on a wireless Verizon FiOS router to include: Linksys 24-port switch Cisco Pix 515 Cisco 3640 router One new development desktop and three new machines to act as a db server, web server and a backup system. My company is moving offices and we've decommissioned some older hardware, which I was able to pick up for the cost of the labor to move it home from the office. The benefits to working with dedicated web and db servers are very valuable to me. I know very little about network topology, other than that everything plugs into the switch, which then plugs into the cheap Verizon router. (Verizon provides a coax connection that the router must translate into Ethernet before I can use it with any of this equipment). Questions: What is the recommended topology for this equipment? Verizon router - Pix - 3600 - switch? Is the 3600 even necessary or desirable? The Verizon router has one WAN port and 4 client ports, all 10/100. Is there any performance benefit at all to wiring multiple connections from the verizon router to the switch, assuming I don't use the Pix? Should I use the Pix? Software firewalls are a pain, and seem silly if I have a device like this lying around. Anything else I should know? Am I wasting my time with this? I also obtained a 7 foot rack, shelves, patch panels, UPS, patch panels, etc, which are going into a conveniently air conditioned closet. All constructive advice appreciated.

  • debian VM refusing all traffic apart from http

    - by james lewis
I've got a VM with a fresh install of Debian (wheezy) and I've installed node and mongo on it. The VM is using a bridged network connection so I was expecting to be able to point my host machines browser at the ip address of the Debian VM (port 1337 for my node example or port 28017 for my mongo status page) and see one of the two services (node or mongo). My requests are refused though. As far as I can tell Debian allows all traffic by default and you have to manually configure iptables to drop traffic. I've checked iptables and it says it's setup to allow anything through. It looks like this: root@devbox:/home/jlewis# iptables -L Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination As a test I setup nginx and I was able to get to the nginx landing page from my host no problems so obviously http traffic is allowed. I then set nginx up to forward all traffic upstream to mongo - no problems there, I was able to see the status page. I then did the same for my example node server and again, no problems. So http traffic is fine, but all other traffic is blocked. Anyone know why debian might be refusing all other traffic other than iptables being setup to drop it? EDIT - output from netstat -nltp: Active Internet connections (only servers) Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State PID/Program name tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:28017 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1762/mongod tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:51028 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1541/rpc.statd tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:22 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 2462/sshd tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:1337 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 2794/node tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:25 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 2274/exim4 tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:27017 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1762/mongod tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:111 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1510/rpcbind tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:80 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 2189/nginx tcp6 0 0 :::22 :::* LISTEN 2462/sshd tcp6 0 0 :::45335 :::* LISTEN 1541/rpc.statd tcp6 0 0 ::1:25 :::* LISTEN 2274/exim4 tcp6 0 0 :::111 :::* LISTEN 1510/rpcbind

  • Nginx multiple upstream servers on the same domain via diferent url

    - by Barry
Hello. I am trying to rout trafic to different upstream servers (that serve different applications and not for load balancing). The incoming trafic has the same domain name but different URL. Here is an example of my configuration: http { upstream backend1 { server 127.0.0.1:8080 fail_timeout=0; server 127.0.0.1:8081 fail_timeout=0; } upstream backend2 { server 127.0.0.1:8090 fail_timeout=0; server 127.0.0.1:8091 fail_timeout=0; } server { listen 80; server_name my_server.com; root /home/my_server; location /serve_me { fastcgi_pass backend1; include fastcgi_params; } location / { fastcgi_pass backend2; include fastcgi_params; } } } It seems that whatever trafic comes in (including "my_server.com/serve_me") goes to backend2. How do I make queries that start with /serve_me to be directed to backend1? Thanks, Barry.

  • remove tasksel lamp-server

    - by RickyA
I was tricked in running "sudo tasksel install lamp-server" on the wrong server (UBUNTU 10.4). Now I am stuck with a system where apache won't start because of a "Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80" error. I now want to remove this task, but documentation on that crappy tasksel says you cant use it to uninstall stuff (!!!???). My question is where can I see what packages it installed, and how can I get rid of a selection of them (apt-get?). I want to keep apache, but mysql, php and the other stuff can go... [edit] I managed to get rid of most of the lamp stack. (/var/logs/dpkg.log is usefull for recently installed packages). However it did something in a configuration somewhere, and now two apache intstances start at boottime. Killing the first one and starting a new one gets rid of the "could not bind at adress..." error. Does anyone know where the startup of the first one is configured?

  • Cisco QoS Guidance

    - by Kyle Brandt
I have a 10M connection to the internet that is hooked into a 100M port. I am getting started with QoS, and am hopping for a little guidance on setting it up on a Cisco 3825 router. Right now I am going forward with the idea that I have to implement it on my router, and the provider can't provide QoS for me. How I envision it working is that the QoS will drop or queue packets on my router and that will help prevent a situation where the provider has to start dropping a lot of packets. Right now all I am tasked with is making sure that one of the 3 LANs gets a certain slice (say 3M for Gig Lan1) of the 10M internet connection (But ideally this will be more flexible in the Future). 10M Internet on 100M port on HWIC-4ESW +-----------------------+ | | Gig Lan1 | Cisco 3825 | Lan3 on HWIC-4ESW | | +-----------------------+ Gig Lan2 I need to learn more about QoS, but having a target technology and maybe example configuration will help me wrap my head around the reading I am doing a little more. Which Cisco QoS Technology do you recommend for this particular situation? Have a basic sample config of how this might work? Right now the 10M line is not congested, so this more to have something in place in case it starts to become mildly congested in the future. I do have VOIP at one location connected to this one over the Internet that goes through a VPN tunnel. Everything else that is between this location and other offices is on a separate MPLS network.

  • tcp msl timeout

    - by iamrohitbanga
The following is given in the book TCP IP Illustrated by Stevens Quiet Time Concept The 2MSL wait provides protection against delayed segments from an earlier incarnation of a connection from being interpreted as part of a new connection that uses the same local and foreign IP addresses and port numbers. But this works only if a host with connections in the 2MSL wait does not crash. What if a host with ports in the 2MSL wait crashes, reboots within MSL seconds, and immediately establishes new connections using the same local and foreign IP addresses and port numbers corresponding to the local ports that were in the 2MSL wait before the crash? In this scenario, delayed segments from the connections that existed before the crash can be misinterpreted as belonging to the new connections created after the reboot. This can happen regardless of how the initial sequence number is chosen after the reboot. To protect against this scenario, RFC 793 states that TCP should not create any connections for MSL seconds after rebooting. This is called the quiet time Few implementations abide by this since most hosts take longer than MSL seconds to reboot after a crash. Do operating systems wait for 2MSL seconds now after a reboot before initiating a TCP connection. The boot times are also less these days. Although the ports and sequence numbers are random but is this wait implemented in Linux?

  • Apache2 Virtualhost practice config issue

    - by sisko
I am practicing virtualhost configuration. In my /var/www directory I have created 3 directories called test1, test2 and test3 each of which has a simple index.php script in it. I:E test1/index.php etc. In /etc/apache2/sites-available/test1 I have the following configuration: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost ServerName test1 DocumentRoot /var/www/test1 <Directory /> Options FollowSymLinks AllowOverride All </Directory> <Directory /var/www/test1/> Options -Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews AllowOverride All Order allow, deny allow from all </Directory> ErrorLog ${APACHE_LOG_DIR}/error.log # Possible values include: debug, info, notice, warn, error, crit, # alert, emerg. LogLevel warn CustomLog ${APACHE_LOG_DIR}/access.log combined </VirtualHost> All the other sites have a similar virtualHost definition. I have enabled the site(the symlink appears in sites-enabled) and I have restarted apache. However, when I visit localhost/test1, I get a 404 Error. My error log show the following message: [Wed Oct 23 06:22:52 2013] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: /var/www/test1/test1 I don't know why I get the double test1/test1 in the error logs. I'm trying to find the right virtualHost setup which will allow all 3 test websites to be served from their URLs I:E test1/index.php, test2/index.php and test3/index.php. Can anyone help me out, please?

  • Why can't I get rid of default index.html even if I disable the default virtual host in Apache2?

    - by Emre Sevinç
I have created a virtual host settings file and I disabled the default settings by using a2dissite default (this is a pretty standard Ubuntu 10.04 installation). But no matter what I try my Apache2 server simply keeps on displaying the default index.html page instead of the index.php page that I set up in the virtual host file. Can someone help me what I'm missing. Details follow: No default settings: ls -l /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/ total 0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 51 May 5 13:32 webmin.1273066327.conf -> /etc/apache2/sites-available/webmin.1273066327.conf lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 34 May 30 11:03 www.accontax.be -> ../sites-available/www.accontax.be Contents of the relevant virtual host: cat /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/www.accontax.be <VirtualHost *> ServerName www.accontax.be ServerAlias accontax.be DirectoryIndex index.php DocumentRoot /var/www/drupal/ <Directory /var/www/drupal/> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews AllowOverride None Order allow, deny allow from all </Directory> </VirtualHost> Contents of httpd.conf: cat /etc/apache2/httpd.conf Listen 80 NameVirtualHost * I also have those relevant lines in my apache2.conf: # Include generic snippets of statements Include /etc/apache2/conf.d/ # Include the virtual host configurations: Include /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/ When I visit http://www.accontax.be I expect apache2 server go to the /var/www/drupal subdirectory and start serving index.php but it simply keeps on serving index.html from /var/www directory. I have reloaded the configuration, restarted the server, deleted my browser cache. Nothing changed. Probably I'm missing a simple yet crucial step but I just could not find it.

  • VNC authentication failure

    - by cf16
I try to connect to my vncserver running on CentOs from home computer, behind firewall. I have installed Win7 and Ubuntu both on this machine. I have an error: VNC conenction failed: vncserver too many security failures even when loging with right credentials (I reset passwd on CentOs) I get: authentication failure. I observe that I have to wait a whole day to be able to relogin at all. Is it something regarding that I try as root? I think important is also that I have to login to remote Centos through port 6050 - none else port works for me. Do I have to do something with other ports? I see that vncserver is listening on 5901, 5902 if another added - and I consider connection is established because from time to time (long time) the passwd prompt appears,... right? I have created additional user1, password for him to CentOS and to VNC, also user2. I do: service vncserver start and two servers starts, one :1, and second on :2. When I try to connect to vncserverIP:1 I get what described above, but when I try connect to vncserverIP:2 it says that the trial was unsuccessful. please help, what to do? additionally: how to disable this lockout for a testing purposes?

  • Shared firewall or multiple client specific firewalls?

    - by Tauren
I'm trying to determine if I can use a single firewall for my entire network, including customer servers, or if each customer should have their own firewall. I've found that many hosting companies require each client with a cluster of servers to have their own firewall. If you need a web node and a database node, you also have to get a firewall, and pay another monthly fee for it. I have colo space with several KVM virtualization servers hosting VPS services to many different customers. Each KVM host is running a software iptables firewall that only allows specific ports to be accessed on each VPS. I can control which ports any given VPS has open, allowing a web VPS to be accessed from anywhere on ports 80 and 443, but blocking a database VPS completely to the outside and only allowing a certain other VPS to access it. The configuration works well for my current needs. Note that there is not a hardware firewall protecting the virtualization hosts in place at this time. However, the KVM hosts only have port 22 open, are running nothing except KVM and SSH, and even port 22 cannot be accessed except for inside the netblock. I'm looking at possibly rethinking my network now that I have a client who needs to transition from a single VPS onto two dedicated servers (one web and one DB). A different customer already has a single dedicated server that is not behind any firewall except iptables running on the system. Should I require that each dedicated server customer have their own dedicated firewall? Or can I utilize a single network-wide firewall for multiple customer clusters? I'm familiar with iptables, and am currently thinking I'll use it for any firewalls/routers that I need. But I don't necessarily want to use up 1U of space in my rack for each firewall, nor the power consumption each firewall server will take. So I'm considering a hardware firewall. Any suggestions on what is a good approach?

  • Nginx with http/https - Http seemed redirected to https all the time

    - by dwarfy
I've this really weird behaviour with my ubuntu 10.04 / nginx 1.2.3 server. Basically I changed the SSL certificates this morning. And ever since it has been behaving weirdly on all apps. Godaddy is reporting that HTTPS/SSL setup is correct. When I try a page it still works correctly when I'm using HTTPS. But when I try using HTTP nginx reports error : 400 Bad Request The plain HTTP request was sent to HTTPS port After looking around on google for hours, I've tried different setup (while originaly my setup was working correctly for longtime, I just renewed certificates) I kindof found a half solution by adding this to my config : error_page 497 $request_uri; The realllly weird thing is that when I use this setup : server { listen 80; server_name john.johnrocks.eu; access_log /home/john/envs/john_prod/nginx_access.log; error_log /home/john/envs/john_prod/nginx_error.log; location / { uwsgi_pass unix:///home/john/envs/john_prod/john.sock; include uwsgi_params; } location /media { alias /home/john/envs/john_prod/johntab/www; } location /adminmedia { alias /home/john/envs/john_prod/johntab/www/adminmedia; } } I still have the same error when using HTTP (while nothing is setup for HTTPS here)?? I'm getting crazy on this !

  • IPTables configuration for Localhost

    - by Gabe Mc
I have a problem in connecting a JIRA instance running on a cloud server to an instance of MySQL running on the same box. I have configured it previously using quite a few iptables rules, but it seems overly broad/terribly inprecise. I want access to several of localhosts ports from the local machine, but deny it from all other accounts. Currently, my /etc/iptables.rules file looks like: *filter :INPUT DROP [223:17779] :FORWARD ACCEPT [0:0] :OUTPUT ACCEPT [10161:1120819] # SSH Access -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 22 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -i eth0 -m state --state RELATED,ESTABLISHED -j ACCEPT # Apache2 Access for connecting to Tomcat on port 8080 -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 443 -j ACCEPT # MySQL -I INPUT -i lo -p tcp -m tcp --dport mysql -j ACCEPT COMMIT However, this doesn't allow me to log in when I try logging in; it just hangs on: #> mysql -u root -p -h 127.0.0.1 The Tomcat servlet container starts throwing all kinds of exceptions, as well. This is a more general problem, as I need to enable things like accessing the shutdown port for the Tomcat container, but I need to at least get the MySQL part ironed out first, without the ugliness I was originally trying. Thanks.

  • Continuous outbound connection from QNAP NAS

    - by user192702
    I notice on my firewall that my QNAP NAS is continuously sending UDP sessions out to the Internet. Every second I have 5 - 7 connections out to addresses like the following: 2013-11-10 23:17:54 Deny 192.168.60.5 93.215.212.162 6881/udp 6881 6881 2013-11-10 23:18:05 Deny 192.168.60.5 87.76.0.83 29872/udp 6881 29872 2013-11-10 23:18:05 Deny 192.168.60.5 5.164.188.224 6881/udp 6881 6881 2013-11-10 23:18:05 Deny 192.168.60.5 80.61.45.206 6881/udp 6881 6881 2013-11-10 23:18:34 Deny 192.168.60.5 37.117.204.129 6881/udp 6881 6881 2013-11-10 23:18:34 Deny 192.168.60.5 71.67.101.30 51413/udp 6881 51413 2013-11-10 23:18:34 Deny 192.168.60.5 89.28.92.191 8621/udp 6881 8621 2013-11-10 23:18:34 Deny 192.168.60.5 94.244.157.85 28221/udp 6881 28221 2013-11-10 23:18:34 Deny 192.168.60.5 213.241.61.240 9089/udp 6881 9089 2013-11-10 23:18:45 Deny 192.168.60.5 88.163.28.100 52721/udp 6881 52721 2013-11-10 23:18:45 Deny 192.168.60.5 37.55.190.20 10027/udp 6881 10027 2013-11-10 23:18:45 Deny 192.168.60.5 62.72.188.146 14306/udp 6881 14306 2013-11-10 23:19:14 Deny 192.168.60.5 85.53.244.205 51413/udp 6881 51413 2013-11-10 23:19:14 Deny 192.168.60.5 67.163.18.215 52130/udp 6881 52130 2013-11-10 23:19:14 Deny 192.168.60.5 86.172.105.140 9089/udp 6881 9089 2013-11-10 23:19:14 Deny 192.168.60.5 99.28.56.121 52383/udp 6881 52383 2013-11-10 23:19:14 Deny 192.168.60.5 109.60.184.249 46217/udp 6881 46217 2013-11-10 23:19:25 Deny 192.168.60.5 121.107.144.174 21135/udp 6881 21135 2013-11-10 23:19:25 Deny 192.168.60.5 84.39.116.180 48446/udp 6881 48446 2013-11-10 23:19:25 Deny 192.168.60.5 183.238.254.62 openvpn/udp 6881 1194 ......... • How to get a higher resolution on Ubuntu 11.04 using an intel chipset

    - by Saif Bechan
I have a bit slow PC here, so I decided to put Ubuntu 11.04 on it. It use to run Windows Vista on a resolution of 1280x1024, so both my hardware and monitor support it. Now I'm on Ubuntu, but can only run 1024x768, and the screen is not that bright. Its like when you don't have the right drivers on a Windows machine. Now i'm new to linux, so I do not know what do do. I have an onboard Intel chipset i965. Maybe this is some useful information, I read something about it on a forum: lspci 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 82G33/G31/P35/P31 Express DRAM Controller (rev 02) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82G33/G31 Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02) 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family High Definition Audio Controller (rev 01) 00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family PCI Express Port 1 (rev 01) 00:1c.1 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family PCI Express Port 2 (rev 01) 00:1d.0 USB Controller: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family USB UHCI Controller #1 (rev 01) 00:1d.1 USB Controller: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family USB UHCI Controller #2 (rev 01) 00:1d.2 USB Controller: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family USB UHCI Controller #3 (rev 01) 00:1d.3 USB Controller: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family USB UHCI Controller #4 (rev 01) 00:1d.7 USB Controller: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family USB2 EHCI Controller (rev 01) 00:1e.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801 PCI Bridge (rev e1) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation 82801GB/GR (ICH7 Family) LPC Interface Bridge (rev 01) 00:1f.1 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) IDE Controller (rev 01) 00:1f.2 IDE interface: Intel Corporation N10/ICH7 Family SATA IDE Controller (rev 01) 00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family SMBus Controller (rev 01) 02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. • Sharing files between 2 different routers

    - by Chris
I realize this has been asked before and I have read as much as I could find on the topic but I still need help with this because there are so many different approaches and the ones I am trying aren't working. So I have 2 routers, lets call them A and B. Both have a wireless feature and are active. A is in the basement and receives the internet. There is a TV on the ground floor that is connected to A through an ethernet wire. B is upstairs and gets the internet from A through an ethernet wire. Connected to B, is a desktop running Plex Media Server. What I want to do is make sure devices connected to both routes can access the Plex Media Server. So what I have read is that I should plug in the ethernet wire connecting B to a into a LAN port instead of the WAN port. After that I should turn off DHCP. I have tried this and B stops receiving internet. What am I doing wrong? Another thing I have read is to use Router B in bridge mode but Router B is running openwrt and I have QoS on it so gaming/VoIP/browsing is unaffected by heavy downloading/uploading. I would prefer to keep this active. I realize it might be ineffective if a device in Router A is doing some hardcore downloading but all that stuff is done on Router B anyway so it doesn't matter. Router A can't get openwrt because it is a shitty one provided by Bell. So, how do I proceed with this?

  • Combining URL mapping and Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *

    - by ksangers
I am in the progress of migrating an old banner system to a new one and in doing so I want to rewrite the old banner system's URL's to the new one. I load my banners via an AJAX request, and therefore I require the Access-Control-Allow-Origin to be set to *. I have the following VirtualHost configuration: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin [email protected] ServerName banner.studenten.net # we want to allow XMLHTTPRequests Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*" RewriteEngine on RewriteMap bannersOldToNew txt:/home/user/banner.studenten.net/banner-studenten-net-to-ads-all4students-nl-map # check whether a zoneid exists in the query string RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^(.*)zoneid=([1-9][0-9]*)(.*) # make sure the requested banner has been mapped RewriteCond ${bannersOldToNew:%2|NOTFOUND} !=NOTFOUND # rewrite to ads.all4students.nl RewriteRule ^/ads/.* http://ads.all4students.nl/delivery/ajs.php?%1zoneid=${bannersOldToNew:%2}%3 [R] # else 404 or something ErrorLog ${APACHE_LOG_DIR}/banner.studenten.net-error.log # Possible values include: debug, info, notice, warn, error, crit, # alert, emerg. LogLevel warn CustomLog ${APACHE_LOG_DIR}/banner.studenten.net-access.log combined </VirtualHost> My map file, /home/user/banner.studenten.net/banner-studenten-net-to-ads-all4students-nl-map, contains something like: # oldId newId 140 11 141 12 142 13 Based on the above configuration I was expecting the following: GET /ads/ajs.php?zoneid=140 HTTP/1.1 Host: banner.studenten.net HTTP/1.1 302 Found ... Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * Location: http://ads.all4students.nl/delivery/ajs.php?zoneid=11 But instead I get the following: GET /ads/ajs.php?zoneid=140 HTTP/1.1 Host: banner.studenten.net HTTP/1.1 302 Found ... Location: http://ads.all4students.nl/delivery/ajs.php?zoneid=11 Note the missing Access-Control-Allow-Origin header, this means the XMLHttpRequest is denied and the banner is not displayed. Any suggestions on how to fix this in Apache?

  • DL380 G7: Not able to access ILO on DL380 via ssh from a client

    - by user117140
I have problem where I can't access my ILO(ssh to ILO IP) thru client which is in different network.I am able to ping ILO IP thru this clinet but ssh access is not possible. Is it possible to have ssh to ILO IP from a client which is in different network? FYI, from the same client I can do ssh to server application IP but ssh to this server ILO IP is not possible. Kindly help? Some more info added: ILO IP address is 10.247.172.70 and its VLAN is different than Client VLAN. Client IP address is 10.247.167.80. ping to ILO IP from this client is possible but not ssh. I can do ssh to ILO IP if I try to do it from the server(hostname:node1) having ILO port or from the other node of this cluster itself,So ssh login is enabled. • Error when starting qpidd as a service

    - by Sparks
I have recently swapped from CENTOS 5 to FEDORA 17. Previously I have created my own init.d scripts successfully (albeit not for qpidd) however, in FEDORA I cannot get it to work. I have created the following script (called qpidd) in the init.d directory: #!/bin/bash # # /etc/rc.d/init.d/qpidd # # QPID/AMQP Broker scripts # # # chkconfig: 2345 20 80 # description: QPID/AMQP Broker service # processname: qpidd # pidfile: /var/lock/subsys/qpidd # Source function library. . /etc/init.d/functions SERVICENAME=qpidd start() { echo -n "Starting $SERVICENAME: " daemon qpidd -d & retval=$? touch /var/lock/subsys/$SERVICENAME return $retval } stop() { echo -n "Shutting down $SERVICENAME: " qpidd -q & retval=$? rm -f /var/lock/subsys/$SERVICENAME return $retval } case "$1" in start) start ;; stop) stop ;; status) status qpidd ;; restart) stop start ;; condrestart) [ -f /var/lock/subsys/<service> ] && restart || : ;; *) echo "Usage: $SERVICENAME {start|stop|status|restart" exit 1 ;; esac exit $? After this, I ran chkconfig --add qpidd, however, now when I run sudo service qpidd start I get the following message: Starting qpidd (via systemctl): Job failed. See system journal and 'systemctl status' for details. If I then run systemctl status qpidd I get the following message: Failed to issue method call: Unit name qpidd is not valid. I am now lost, I have search the web and Stack Overflow but cannot find anybody with similar problem, any help or direction to a website that can help would be much appreciated Sparks :)
