  • How to unload all the plugins from vim and change VIMRUNTIME ?

    Hello my problem is this: I have an account at my hosting providers server and I can't install my own copy of vim. So the only personalization I can make is editing .vimrc in my account, but it won't suffice What I'd Like to do is: on startup I'd like to unload all the plugins and loaded stuff, and tell vim to use other folder as its' runtime. Any idea how to aproach it?

    Hi, I want to use bat to automate some of my work. It should first look up the value of a certain registry key, and then copy some files to the directory that included in the registry key value. I used reg query command to look up registry, such as: REG QUERY "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment" /v PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE The result seems contains carriage return and I need to remove it, I've tried some solutions but all failed. Could anyone help me?

    For example I have two classes, Base and Derived as shown below: class Base { public string Name { get; set; } public Base() { } } class Derived : Base { public Derived(Base b) { base = b; // doesn't compile, but is there any way to do something similar? } } So that they behave like this: Base b = new Base(); b.Name = "Bob"; Derived d = new Derived(b); d.Name = "John"; // b.Name is now "John" also Is this possible? I guess one way would be to keep the Base b reference in Derived and override Derived.Name to point to b.Name?   • What's safe to assume about the NSMutableArray / NSArray class cluster?

    I know you shouldn't use this to decide whether or not to change an array: if ([possiblyMutable isKindOfClass:[NSMutableArray class]]) But say I'm writing a method and need to return either an NSMutableArray or an NSArray, depending on the mutability of possiblyMutable. The class using my method already knows whether or not it's acceptable to change the returned array. Whether or not it's acceptable to change the returned array directly correlates with whether or not it's acceptable to change possiblyMutable. In that specific case, is this code safe? It seems to me that if it's not acceptable to change the array, but we accidentally get a mutable array, it's ok, because the class using my method won't try to change it. And if it is acceptable to change the array, then we will always get possiblyMutable as an NSMutableArray (though this is the part I'm not entirely clear on). So... safe or not? Alternatives?

    I have two related tables: Groups and Clients. Clients belongs to Groups so I have a foreign key "group_id" that references the group a client belongs to. I'm changing the Group id from an autoincrement to a UUID. So what I need is to generate a UUID for each Group and update the Clients table at once to reflect the changes and keep the records related. Is there a way to do this with multiple-table update on MySQL? Adding tables definitions for clarification.     I am working with the sample Home application project on http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/Home/index.html I've added another value to the THUMBS_IDS and IMAGE_IDS Integer arrays in the Wallpaper class for a total of four wallpaper options. When I run the application with Device API version 7, Skin: HVGA, hw.lcd.density: 160, in portrait layout, the fourth wallpaper option is not shown. I need to use the directional keys in the emulator to see the 4th wallpaper option, because the first option is centered. I have modified only the wallpaper.xml file with a variety of android:layout_* options with no success at this point. How do I show all four of my wallpaper options?

  • Is it possible to change the default InputView in MonoTouch?

    I would like to display a different view than the standard keyboard (a picker control, or a date picker, for example) when a text field becomes first responder (i.e. gets focus). This would be really nice, because currently I'm pushing a custom view which contains my picker control onto the navigation stack where the user chooses an option, and then hits an OK or Cancel button. According to the documentation for UITextField.InputView: Assigning a custom view to this property causes that view to be presented instead. But, It's read only!!! Is there a workaround for this? Do I need to implement a custom UITextField control and somehow override the InputView property? Do I need to call some kind of native function? I'd really love not to have to do either of those things... but if I have to, so be it. Thanks in advance!

    Hello! I'm using a helper for static pages to add a part to the title on every page. Currently I have the following code at the top of every static page: <?php $this->set('title_for_layout', $title->output('Nyheter')); ?> The purpose of $title-output is to append " :: MY WEB SITE NAME". This works fine, but for simplicity I would rather just call: $title->title('Nyheter'); At the top of every page to set the title. The problem is that I can't call $this-set() from within the helper. Is there a way to something like this or am I completely on the wrong path here?

Since I didn't find one module on cpan that comes with my OS I have to use for some scripts the onboard-perl. For one of these scripts I would like to install Text::Format or Text::Autoformat (didn't find the docu for that module on cpan). My question: how can I tell cpan to install the module this one time for the OS-distro-perl?

    I often use Excel with pivot tables based on .cub files for OLAP-type analysis. This is great except when you want to move the xls and you realise internally it's got a non-relative reference to the location of the .cub file. How can we cope with this - ie make it convenient to move around xls files that depend on .cub files? The best answer I could come up with is writing a macro that updates the pivot tables' reference to the .cub file location....so I'll pop that in an answer.

    Hello, I know this question is asked many a times,and i am also implementing the same funda for chanding the title of the uibutton i guess. Let me clarify my problem first. I have one uibutton named btnType, on clicking of what one picker pops up and after selecting one value,i am hitting done button to hide the picker and at the same time i am changing the the title of the uibutton with code [btnType setTitle:btnTitle forState:UIControlEventTouchUpInside]; [btnType setTitleColor:[UIColor redColor] forState:UIControlEventAllEvents]; But with my surpriaze,it is not changed and application crashes with signal EXC_BAD_ACCESS. I am not getting where i am making mistake.I have allocated memory to the btnType at viewdidLoad. Also I am using -(IBAction)pressAddType { toolBar.hidden = FALSE; dateTypePicker.hidden = FALSE; } event on pressing the button to open the picker. Also i would like to mention that i have made connection with IB with event TouchUpInside for pressAddType. Any guesses? I will be grateful if you could help me. Thanks.

    The shared library is causing much trouble for me, and disk space is far less expensive than the trouble itself. How can I convert all shared libs(.dll) to static libs(.lib) and make my programe use them instead of using shared libs? Note some .dlls are not directly refered to by my programe,e.g. my programe requires libpng,and libpng requires zlib.dll. Is there a solution that wraps up all these cases?

    I have a rewrite in htaccess which makes this: domain.com/ad.php?ad_id=bmw_m3_328942948 into this: domain.com/ads/bmw_m3_328942948 Problem is the links which are relative to the file wont work... for instance if a link is pointing at '/bin/edit.php' like this originally: domain.com/bin/edit.php // WORKS but after the rewrite the link wants to point here instead: domain.com/ads/bin/edit.php // NOT WORK - NOTE THE /ads/ DOESN'T EXIST IN REALITY Do you understand my issue? What is done about this?
