  • Android ListAdapter Repaint

    Hi, i have the following problem. I fill a ListView with a custom ArrayAdapter with data from a BD. However, in background, i'm updating those datas from the info provided by an API, so the idea is when the update finish, the adapter shows the updated data instead its "old version". The problem is that when i do that, i notice a lag while the adapter is updating itself. Is the any efficient solution to avoid this? Thanks

    I have the same question as was asked here but unfortunately I cannot install Moose and I think the solution described there was particular to Moose. Can someone tell me how to the same in old school "use base" speak? To reiterate the question, I would like to have my base classes to have an automatic logging mechanism so if the user does not do anything I get some reasonable logging but if the user of my class needs/wants to overwrite it they can.

    Hi GUys, I am having a big trouble positioning my dropdown menu on below URL (Internet Explorer 7 problem only): http://tinyurl.com/y7v2qj9 When hovering the menu, you will see that the drop down appears behind the image. This doesn´t happen in IE8 or Firefox, only in IE7. I think it must be related to a specific bug which i am unaware of, can´t find the solution. Your help is greatly appreciated ! THANKS !!

    I've been trying to debug some super slow performance in running my cucumber features. I've run various calls through ruby-prof and think I see the bottlenecks (not too familiar with using ruby-prof) but do not know the cause or more important the solution.     I'm trying to get the same result of a .NET application (see the link Hide TabControl buttons to manage stacked Panel controls for details), but using the MONO runtime instead of the MS .NET runtime. Pratically, when the custom control is executed using the MONO runtime, the underlying message is not sent to the control, causing the tab pages to be shown... Is there a portable solution which is elegant as the linked one? If it is not possible, what are possible workarounds (apart from removing/adding tabs at runtime)?

    I need to know what handlers are subsribed to the CollectionChanged event of the ObservableCollection class. The only solution I found would be to use Delegate.GetInvocationList() on the delegate of the event. The problem is, I can't get Reflection to find the compiler generated delegate. AFAIK the delegate has the same name as the event. I used the following piece of code: PropertyInfo notifyCollectionChangedDelegate = collection.GetType().GetProperty("CollectionChanged", BindingFlags.Instance | BindingFlags.Static | BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.FlattenHierarchy);

    Hi, I have a Tableview on AppDelegate That calls a SecondView (dvController) when DidSelectRowAtIndexPath using: [self.window addSubview:[dvController view]]; On SecondView I defined a button linked to IBAction that should go back to previous view. It works great but when row selected but, How could then go back to previous view if main one is AppDelegate? self.window addSubview:[?? view]]; Should be basic concept but I am quite new and unable to get the solution.     Just out of curiosity, as I haven't been able to find anything anywhere; does anyone know of a way to get jQuery UI's sortable function to animate its sorting? What I mean is, when you move an element around the sortable parent, its children, the sortables, skip around instead of smoothly animating to their new position, which besides from being an eyesore can also make it a bit difficult to figure out what has moved where. There's obviously no default option for this, but I was hoping that perhaps someone, somewhere, had a neat solution.

    Hey there, I just wanted to build my App for submitting it to the AppStore - it includes the widely used three20 framework. As the Debug Versions on the Dev-Devices worked great, i'm having trouble compiling the project for distribution. XCode says: No architectures to compile for (ONLY_ACTIVE_ARCH=YES, active arch=armv6, VALID_ARCHS=i386). Any idea what's happening there? I've tried to google it, but i haven't found a solution yet.     Hi, I m opening a HttpConnection to a URL. Its working in simulator but when i try it in device, it gives "java.io.IOException: Bad DNS address" while opening the HttpConnection.     Hi, I've run into an issue porting a codebase from linux (gcc) to windows (msvc). It seems like the C99 function vsscanf isn't available and has no obvious replacement. I've read about a solution using the internal function _input_l and linking statically to the crt runtime, but unfortunately I cannot link statically since it would mess with all the plugins (as dlls) being loaded by the application. So is there any replacement or a way to write a wrapper for vsscanf?

    Hi All I have to send mails to all users in the site when a new user joins. My problem is the script stops execution after sending around 400 mails. I have set the set_time_limit to 0.
