  • Fluid Design bugs in ie7

    Hey guys, I've created a dummy layout for my latest design, but when I resize the window in ie7 to check that the min-width works, it kicks the content area to below the sidebar, whereas in all other browsers (including ie6) it behaves exactly as it should do.   • ASP.NET site sometimes freezing up and/or showing odd text at top of the page while loading, on load

    I have various servers (dev, 2 x test, 2 x prod) running the same asp.net site. The test and prod servers are in load-balanced pairs (prod1 with prod2, and test1 with test2). The test server pair is exhibiting some kind of (super) slowdown or freezing during about one in ten page loads. Sometimes a line of text appears at the very top of the page which looks something like: 00 OK Date: Thu, 01 Apr 2010 01:50:09 GMT Server: Microsoft-IIS/6.0 X-Powered_By: ASP.NET X-AspNet-Version:2.0.50727 Cache-Control:private Content-Type:text/html; charset=ut (the beginning and end are "cut off".) Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any idea what it means or what's causing it? Edit: I often see this too when clicking something - it comes up as red text on a yellow page: XML Parsing Error: not well-formed Location: http://203.111.46.211/3DSS/CompanyCompliance.aspx?cid=14 Line Number 1, Column 24:2mMTehON9OUNKySVaJ3ROpN" / -----------------------^ If I go back and click again, it works (I see the page I clicked on, not the above error message). So we tried telling IIS to use 32 bit: **cscript %SYSTEMDRIVE%\inetpub\adminscripts\adsutil.vbs SET W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32bitAppOnWin64 1 %SYSTEMROOT%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis.exe -i ** (from this MS support page) But iis stopped working altogether (got "server unavailable" on a white page instead of web sites). Reversing the above (see the link) didn't work at first either. The ASP.NET tab disappeared from our IIS web site properties and we had to mess around for an hour uninstalling (aspnet_regiis.exe -u) and reinstalling 32 bit ASP.NET and adding Default.aspx manually back into default documents. We'll probably try again in a few days, if anyone has anything to add in the meantime, please do.

    I would like to do something like this config.default_host = 'www.subdomain.example.com' in some of my configuration files, so that object_url helpers produce link beginning with http://www.subdomain.example.com I have tried to search the docs but I did not find anytnig exept ActionMailer docs and http://api.rubyonrails.org/classes/Rails/Configuration.html which is not usefull for me, because I do not know in which pat to look. Is there a place which describes the whole structure of Rails::Initializer.config? Thanks for helping Jakub

  • where can I download the assembly MPF.Project.NonShipping.dll?

    I want to use HierarchyNode class which is in the Microsoft.VisualStudio.Package namespace and the assembly is MPF.Project.NonShipping.dll. There was no assembly on the .net reference or on the COM. I searched for the file, but it was not on the machine. I also tried to google the dll if we could download it, but there was no link, whatsoever about the download. I am using VS 2008 sp1 by the way. Thanks in advance.

The link provided is for Subsonic 3. So my question is, does Subsonic 2.2 support MS SQL Server CE?     With the jQuery datepicker, how does one change the year range that is displayed? On the jQuery UI site it says the default is "10 years before and after the current year are shown". I want to use this for a birthday selection and 10 years before today is no good.     this may be more appropriate for math overflow, but nevertheless: Given 3d structure (for example molecule), what is a good approach/algorithm to find symmetry (rotational/reflection/inversion/etc.)? I came up with brute force naive algorithm, but it seems there should be better approach.     I'm making a "sort elements" web game using jQuery, HTML & CSS. While everything works fine in FF, IE8, Opera, Chrome, I'm having problem with IE7 wrapping words inside block elements.
