Could InAppSettingsKit do this, or is there another library?

I'm trying to implement a system whereby the user is initially presented with a single tablecell, in a uitableview (grouped style), within a uinavigationview. --------------- + | add record | --------------- When they click on the cell, they are pushed onto a new screen where they fill in a few textviews (perhaps imbedded in a tableview's cells) --------------- | (name) | --------------- | (phone num) | --------------- Then when they go back, they can see the new record as well as the 'add record' cell. --------------- | record 1 | --------------- + | add record | --------------- (When they go into record 1 again there would be a delete button) Is there any sample code or libraries which would achieve this? What about InAppSettingsKit? It's more the presentation I'm concerned with. I can handle the saving of data myself.

Can't figure out how to code my css

Hi, I'm a new poster in stackoverflow. The community seems really nice so I'll go ahead and post my question. I'm trying to style a asp.net MVC2 form so that instead of having all the fields on a strait line, I would like to have it like so: Label: Text field Label: Text field I know you could do that with a table but I would like to use CSS to accomplish that. I know a little bit about css but not enough to figure out what to do. The only thing I came close to was to but my fields as a unorder list then styling the li item. Thank you for your help!

In Jenkins, how to checkout a project into a specific directory (using GIT)

Sorry for the 'svn' style - we are in a process of migration from SVN to GIT (including our CI Jenkins environment). What do we need is to be able to make Jenkins to checkout (or should I say clone?) the GIT project (repository?) into a specific directory. We've tried some refspecs magic but it wasn't to obvious to understand and to use successfully. Furthermore, if in the same Jenkins project we need to checkout several private GitHub repositories into several separate dirs under a project root. How can we do it please? We have GitHub plugin installed. Hope we've phrased the things right.

This PHP/Smarty doesn't work in IE

I'm starting to get sick of IE's random problems. Page link. (Add things to the cart with the kjøp button and handlevogn) I have this little tiny code here, {foreach $cart.taxes.$currency as $tax} <div id="subTotalCaption2"><p style="width:100px;">{$tax.name_lang}:</p></div> <div id="taxAmount2"><p>{$tax.formattedAmount}</p></div> {/foreach} That's meant to display the amount of total tax for each of the items in the basket. (MVA 25%) This works in every other browser but not IE. Why? Why not? Just why? Any help at all would be very much appreciated.

php: problems with embedded apex in a string ?

how can I write more embedded " and ' in php ? For example, I dunno how to write this html complete element with all apex: As you can see, I use '' for the php string. Then inside, I use "", but then I need another level of apix and I dunno how to write that one in my php document. Is there a cross-browser way for tooltips?

I am working with d3.js for rendering my graphs. For some reason, I am not a huge fan of svg title because of the delay it incurs and the inability to style them. Please do correct me if I am wrong. I recently came across, tipsy but it does not seem to be cross-browser compatible. For instance, consider this. The tooltips work just fine in Firefox and Chrome but do not appear even in IE 9 and I'm not sure what's going on. Is there a cleaner cross-browser approach for tooltips compatible with d3.js other than using the svg title attribute?

dojo.connect won't connect 'onclick' with button

I'm running into a problem using dojo.connect() to connect an 'onclick' event with this button: <button dojoType="dijit.form.Button" widgetId="inbox_button" id="inbox_button">Inbox</button> and the code making the connection is: var inbox_button=dojo.byId("inbox_button"); dojo.connect(inbox_button,'onclick',function(){ var container=dijit.byId("center"); container.addChild(new dijit.layout.ContentPane({region: "left", content: "...", style: "width: 100px;"})) }); However, instead of executing the function when the button is clicked, ANY onclick event triggers the function, and I end up with a lot of children containers. Even though I'm pretty certain the .connect() function should be available as part of dojo's base functionality, I've 'required' it explicitly: dojo.require("dojo._base.connect"); Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

I have a span and an anchor inside a table cell. I have the anchor set up to show a tooltip. I would like the text inside the span to be used for the tooltip. c#: RedirectStandardOutput prevents exit exception?

All I want is to redirect standard output of a process to a file. Sounds easy, but everything I tried doesn't work: 1) putting a dos-style redirection in the list of arguments (e.g. "param1 param2 output.txt") doesn't work, 2) using RedirectStandardOutput = true works, BUT, apparently the process does not through an exception when it exists. So the handler defined via process.Exited += ... doesn't catch anything. To be clear, once I remove the 'RedirectStandardOutput = true ' statement, it DOES catch an exception. What am I doing wrong ? Python / Django : emulating a multidimensionnal layer on a mySql database

Hi, I'm working on a Django project where I need to provide a lot of different visualizations on the same data (for example average of a value for each month, for each year / for a location, etc ...). I have been using OLAP database once in college, and I thought that it would fit my needs, but it appears that it is much to heavy for what I need. Actually the volume of data is not very big, so I don't need any optimization, just a way to present different visualizations of the same data without having to write 1000 times the same code. So let's recap : I need a python library : to emulate a multidimensional database (OLAP style would be nice because I think it is quite convenient : stat structure, and everything) non-intrusive, because I can't modify anything on the existing mysql database easy-to-use, because otherwise there's no point in replacing some overhead by another.

Android views' borders issue on some devices

Hi there, Some users have been reporting border alignment issues on some android components such as the alert popup or the editTexts. This is happening on the Samsung Galaxy Apollo (200x400) and the HTC Pro Touch (480x640) devices. I cannot replicate that because i don't own those devices and in the Samsung Galaxy S and emulator everything looks just right. I think that the problem is the dpi or resolution of the device (because the edittext background is a single .9.png so image should look ok); however I am not sure if the supports-screens tag is the solution. Also, application was developed using Api 3 (v1.5) and supports-screens was not yet supported, nor the screen-size resource qualifier. The style used for the alerts and editText is the phone default. Could the problem be something related with the theme applied to the phone by the user? Online Code Coloring Service

Hello, I would like to know if anyone knows of an online service where we paste the code and it generates back the colored html source code for that code. It could be PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, C, Java. Idea is that once i have the colored html code, i could easily put that in my wordpress.com blog. I know about [sourcecode language="whatever"] but just wanted to know an online service that supports multiple languages. The benefit is that, i can choose any color style/theme from that online service for my code. Thanks.

Unable to output XML data in a manageable way

html form using input as a submit button

Hello onlookers, A web site I've been using has some interesting behavior... There is a form, but there is no button for submission. Instead, there is an input: <input id="ctl00_pageContent_loginButton" type="image" style="border-width: 0px;" alt="Login" src="images/btn_login.gif" name="ctl00$pageContent$loginButton"/> and when you hover over it the cursor turns into a hand, like an anchor tag -- however I do not see any css (in firebug) showing that the input should have a hover attribute. Further, the input does not have any sign of being an actual link/submission button. I'm stumped -- would love to know how they were able to do this. Systematically resolve conflicting styles in css

I have some stylesheets from different sources in my web project. I want to harmonize them. Some styles I need from the one, some from the other. Is there a tool or method how to systematically resolve style conflicts? I tried IE8 developer tool, and yes, it is possible to view conflicts at the level of each element. But I have many elemens, so if I do it element by element I think this takes too long. Theoretically there could be a tool that shows conflicts of two css files at design time?!? I think this would save me a lot of time.

My android application get restarted when I take the application from home screen, but this not a consistent. Some time it works perfectly (resume with the last visited activity). My application contains a splash screen activity and 5 activities in tab layout. Usage Start application After splash screen the application shows one of the activity in tab Press home button Try to invoke application from home screen Application gets restarted, it is not happening always. I am working on actual device. Never seen this before in ASP.NET development. I'm trying to refactor out 40 single-page ASP.NET pages to code-behind style. What does this code do? // Validate required parameters (if "new", then nothing is required) if (!this.IsNew()) { if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(_billId)) { responseErrorNo = 4; Utils.SendError(respErrNum); } } Its on a single-page design ASP.NET page in the block in the Page_Load method. On a code-behind page this code ( .IsNew) is not recognized. What am I missing here? Is there an MSDN page on IsNew of the "page"?

PHP 5.4: disable warning "Creating default object from empty value"

I want to migrate code from PHP 5.2 to 5.4. This worked fine so far except that all the code I use makes extensive use of just using an object with a member without any initialisation, like: $MyObject->MyMember = "Hello"; which results in the warning: "Creating default object from empty value" I know that the solution would be to use: $MyObject = new stdClass(); $MyObject->MyMember = "Hello"; but it would be A LOT OF WORK to change this in all my code, because I use this many times in different projects. I know, it's not good style, but unfortunately I'm not able to spend the next weeks adding this to all of my code. I know I could set the php error_reporting to not reporting warnings, but I want to be able to still get other warnings and notices. This warning doesn't seem to be effected by enable or disable E_STRICT at all. So is there a way to just disable this warning?!

iframe height not taken into account by IE8

Hi guys, I'm building a dummy widget for a iGoogle/Netvibes like portal. This is a "Google Maps" widget, as it only renders a map centered on a specific location. The widget looks good in all browsers but IE8, in which the height I specify to the <div> that contains the map is not taken into account. Here's the interesting part of the code: <body onload="initialize()" > <div id="map_canvas" style="height:400px; width: 100%;"></div> </body> I have no control on the portal, so the only thing I can modify is the widget itself. I also tried to set the height for the <body>, but same thing. Any idea on why it's not working in IE? Thanks!
