    After asking a couple of questions I managed to create this form. I didn't have troubles making it return false if the submitted value was 0 but I cannot make it return false when it's the string 'Cambia de ciudad". I'm sure I'm messing with the quotes or something like that.     I'm not the best at understanding these things with php and smarty, but this is really annoying. On: http://www.euroworker.no/order, there is meant to be a display of the amount of tax included in the price like: Tax (25%): 772,- Totalt: 3861,- But unless the user has logged in or created a new account, the tax doesn't display.     Given a PDF document, is it possible to generate a XSL-FO (FOP) template? Obviously, this would be a one-time thing - the generated template would just be a starting point for creating a proper template that pulls in the appropriate data. For me, the ideal tool for doing so would be a Java-based one and should be executable from the command line or through an ANT task. Failing that, it would be something that runs on Linux and MacOS X.

    I'm working on dropdowns in IE6 (SELECT with OPTIONs as children). I'm experiencing the problem where, in IE6, dropdown menus are truncated to the width of the SELECT element. In other browsers, blur causes every OPTION to not be highlighted. Using JS, how can I de-highlight an option after the dropdown has lost focus.

    'This is bizarre bug. I have CSS3 anchors/buttons, which I've continued to strip properties out of, that sometimes require multiple clicks to fire.     Hi, I have a select form element with 5 options. If option 2 is selected I want to display another form input box (this has a style of display:none initially). How can I attach an event to option 2 so that whenever it is selected the input box is shown otherwise it is hidden. I have this currently but this does not handle is option 2 is already selected when the page loads $('#type').change(function(){ var typeSelected = $(this).val(); if (typeSelected == 2) { $('#extraInput').show(); } }); I know I could add another bit of code which checks what is selected on page load but wondered if there was a neater way of doing this. Also something that could handle the hiding of the input box if option 2 is not selected at the start as currently I have just hard-coded style="display:none" onto the input box but I would prefer this to be dynamic.     I have a list of phone extensions that I want to print a friendly version of it. I have a print css for it to print appropriately onto paper, the extensions are located within an unordered list, which are floated to the left. <ul> <li>Larry Hughes <span class="ext">8291</span></li> <li>Chuck Davis <span class="ext">3141</span></li> <li>Kevin Skillis <span class="ext">5115</span></li> </ul> I float it left, and when it prints the second page, it leaves off the name part of the list (in Firefox, works fine in Google Chrome and IE), see here: http://cl.ly/de965aea63f66c13ba32 I am referring to this: http://www.alistapart.com/articles/goingtoprint/ - they mentioned something about applying a float:none; to the content part of the page. If I do that, how should I go about making the list show up in 4 columns? It is a dynamic list, pulled from a database. Any help is appreciated.

Inside that datalist is another Datalist (dlchild) that is being populated by itemdatabound event of the parent datalist. i've used css with dlchild. Databinding is ok and the required output shows great with mozilla and IE but not in netscape, safari and google chrome. dlchild is not showing. only item in dlparent appears.     I have a website that will have millions of pages in a directory. I'd like to store those files on-disk in a bunch of subdirectories based on the first characters of the page name. For example http://mysite.com/hugedir/somefile.html would be stored in /var/www/html/hugedir/s/o/m/e/f/ile.html That is fairly trivial to do with a RewriteRule like so: RewriteRule ^hugedir/(.)(.)(.)(.)(.)(.*).html /hugedir/{$1}/{$2}/{$3}/{$4}/{$5}/$6.html RewriteRule ^hugedir/(.)(.)(.)(.)(.*).html /hugedir/{$1}/{$2}/{$3}/{$4}/{$5}.html RewriteRule ^hugedir/(.)(.)(.)(.*).html /hugedir/{$1}/{$2}/{$3}/{$4}.html RewriteRule ^hugedir/(.)(.)(.*).html /hugedir/{$1}/{$2}/{$3}.html RewriteRule ^hugedir/(.)(.*).html /hugedir/{$1}/{$2}.html RewriteRule ^hugedir/(.*).html /hugedir/{$1}.html However, the file name may contain hyphens or other non-standard characters and I'd really like to avoid having a directory named with a strange character. Or something else equivalent? Part of the requirement is that these be physical files on disk and it not be parsed with a scripting language.

  • PHP 6 not backward compatible

    From what I read, PHP 6 will break a lot of php scripts. I understand the reasons why it may break but why don't they just keep the PHP 5 and simply call PHP 6 as a different language based on PHP syntax? Like for example, why not just call php 6 scripts with an extension, "p6"- why are they trying so hard to make it backward compatible for old scripts when the extension can be used to call a specific interpreter?
