  • Add Silverlight Bing Maps Control to Windows Mobile 7 application

    I know the bits just came out today, but one of the first things I want to do with the newly released Windows Mobile 7 SDK is put a map up on the screen and mess around. I've downloaded the latest version of the Silverlight Maps Control and added the references to my application. As a matter of fact, the VS 2010 design view of the MainPage.xaml shows the map control after adding the namespace and placing the control. I'm using the provided VS 2010 Express version that comes with the Win Mobile 7 SDK and have just used the New Project - Windows Phone Application template. When I try to build I get two warnings related to the Microsoft.Maps.MapControl dll's. Warning 1 The primary reference "Microsoft.Maps.MapControl, Version=1.0.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=498d0d22d7936b73, processorArchitecture=MSIL" could not be resolved because it has an indirect dependency on the framework assembly "System.Windows.Browser, Version=2.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7cec85d7bea7798e" which could not be resolved in the currently targeted framework. "Silverlight,Version=v4.0,Profile=WindowsPhone". To resolve this problem, either remove the reference "Microsoft.Maps.MapControl, Version=1.0.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=498d0d22d7936b73, processorArchitecture=MSIL" or retarget your application to a framework version which contains "System.Windows.Browser, Version=2.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7cec85d7bea7798e".     Hi, I have a data class with some fields, one is a URL that I consider the PK, if I add a new item (do a new sync) and save it it should overwrite the item in the database if it's the same URL.   • IllegalArgumentException: width and height must be > 0 during zoomOut in Google MapView

    I'm trying to zoom in on a Google MapView on step in the oncreateMethod of my Activity. Everytime I try to zoom the map via the mapController I get an IllegalArgumentException: 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to start activity ComponentInfo{com.innomos.couponimo.android.client/com.innomos.couponimo.android.client.ui.showstores.StoreMap}: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: width and height must be > 0 This Exception is thrown if I call the zoomOut or zoomIn function of MapController. Sadly the zoomIn function I'm using does not take any arguments. The onCreateMethod where I'm calling the zoom functions looks like this: mapView = (MapView) findViewById(R.id.map); mapView.setBuiltInZoomControls(true); MapController mapController = mapView.getController(); mapController.zoomIn(); I'm a little bit at loss here because I'm doing nothing special.   • ClickOnce and mageUI adding custom file folder problems

    What I do: Publishing .Net 3.5 application via VS, or msbuild (whatever), and now I need to insert to the published application separate directory (Modules - not added as a reference to the project - our project architecture does not allow this). So I'm copying the folder to published location then runs mageUI.exe select the application manifest and then the problems starts. As I press the populate button it's adding also hidden directory? So I remove the directory, after I want to save the manifest file I get the "Warning MSB3110: Assembly 'NAME.Shell.application.deploy' has mismatched identity 'NAME.Shell.application', expected file name: 'NAME.Shell.application.application'". Did you have the same problems, according to http://smartclient.codeplex.com/Project/Download/FileDownload.aspx?DownloadId=5060 it should be easy as 1-2-3 but it's not.

I downloaded the package and it contained a setup.py file.     I have a wcf service in front of an AzMan store that passes roles and operations to clients using the following interface: [OperationContract] bool AuthenticateUser(string password, string appName); [OperationContract] string[] GetRoles(string storelocation, string appName); [OperationContract] string[] GetOperations(string storeLocation, string appName, string selectedRole); Clients connect to this service using windows authentication (but users must send their password through to reaffirm their identity). Ultimately the service delivers an array of operations that each client can perform based on their selected role. I've opened a new Silverlight Business Application and tried to understand how authentication/authorization works in this template, as well as scoured the web to find examples to how to hook my webservice to the login box already created in the template, but I am completely at a loss as how to do this! Can anyone offer any advice?

  • Preserving URLs after CMS migration with redirect database and apache http?

    We will migrate an entire intranet from one CMS to another. All URLs will change in a non-predictable pattern, but I can capture a file with original,new URLs I can feed into anything. I have hundred thousands of URLs, not just a few hundred. What I would like to do: every URL that is not found (404) should be checked against the database and if a new URL found a 301/308 issued instead. Some trickery to suggest similar pages in the 404 message if the lookup was unsuccessful would be an added bonus. Is that the right approach or should I check redirection first all the time? How would I do that in Apache2? Is that a custom 404 module?

  • Strange. Asterisk key plays random Windows sound when pressed

    This is a new one on me. When I press the "asterisk", or * button on my number pad (but not SHIFT+8), Windows makes either a "Exclamation" or "Windows ding" sound. I haven't noticed a pattern to which sound is made. Logitech K200 keyboard No special key mapping software or Logitech software running Realtek sound to stereo through optical cable. Visual Studio 2010, Chrome, Fiddler, WinRAR, Notepad++, and Dropbox running. No unusual behavior otherwise. A solution isn't terribly important but my curiosity is both piqued and stumped. This doesn't normally happen and nothing odd has taken place otherwise. Ideas?

  • I am trying to zip files individually, but the file type is unknown

    I am trying to zip some files with an unknown file type individually. I am using the following code in a batch script to do that: @ECHO OFF FOR %%A IN (bestbuy*nat*component.cpi*) DO "C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7z.exe" a -mx9 -m0=lzma2:d256m "%%~nA.7z" "%%A" The code will compress files individually ONLY if the file has an extension. Unfortunately the files that I have don't have any extension. In the code I am trying to zip files by doing a pattern match, the files are getting compressed into ONE file (which I do not want, I want each file compressed individually). Why does this code create separate zip files when the files have an extension (for example if I add .txt to the end of the files) and when there is no extension the code creates one zipped file. Can anyone please help me with the code to compress files with unknown file type so that each file gets compressed individually Your help would be greatly appreciated. Jason

    Hi, I'd like to simplify the URL's to access a Glassfish V3 application by removing file extensions and otherwise shortening URL's. I've already set my application as the default application, so that there is no need to include the context root in the URL. I'd like to: * Remove file extensions * Shorten the URL to files deep in the folder structure I'd like to do this using pattern matching rather than on a per file basis (Site is small at the moment but will change frequently and grow).     I've been using Ivy a bit but I seem to still have a lot to learn. I have two projects. One is a web app and the other is a library upon which the web app depends. The set up is that the library project is compiled to a jar file and published using Ivy to a directory within the project. In the web app build file, I have an ant target that calls the Ivy resolve ant task. What I'd like to do is have the web app using the dynamic resolve mode during development (on developer's local machines) and default resolve mode for test and production builds. Previously I was appending a time stamp to the library archive file so that Ivy would notice changes in file when the web app tried to resolve its dependency on it. Within Eclipse this is cumbersome because, in the web app, the project had to be refreshed and the build path tweaked every time a new library jar was published. Publishing a similarly named jar file every time would, I figure, only require developers to refresh the project. The problem is that the web app is unable to retrieve the dynamic jar file.     I'm trying to redirect the following URL in IIS7 using the URL Rewrite module: Category/Cat-3/Objectives-of-Pre-Maintenance/WHAT&rsquo;S-THE-STORY-ON-LOW-CARB-DIETS-AND-EXERCISE-.aspx but for the life of me I can not get it. I tried replacing the &rsquo; with an actual single quote, and that worked fine! But for the purpose of this redirect, I need the HTML code for the quote, and not the quote itself.     I am looking into solutions for providing multiple login methods to my site. I found rpxnow.com and they map user accounts from all the different networks. My question is how do they know that I am user1 on twitter and bigdude2 on facebook? I'm hoping it goes beyond email lookups. The end result I want is a unique user in my database no matter what account they sign in with, dupes are a no-no, but most likely inevitable I am guessing.
