• How do I keep multiple copies of Outlook in sync when using RPC over HTTP?

  I use Outlook 2007 at work with our Exchange 2003 server. I just setup my home system with Outlook 2007 so that I could use the RPC over HTTP to access Exchange without having to use a VPN. It works fine. I can get mail, send mail, etc. What it doesn't seem to be doing is staying in sync. For example, I read a few messages at home, moved them into different folders from the Inbox, etc. That all seemed fine. When I login to my work machine and look at the copy of Outlook there, the mail is still unread and nothing has been moved. Am I missing something simple here? I would have to assume that my home machine should be telling Exchange where these messages belong and that they've been read. Both machines are running Windows 7, if that matters. Ideas?

What I am looking at is there any tool which will help me in binding all these documents so that I may be able to virtually bind all these documents of a particular client. For example all these documents were sent to Client A 2 Outlook mails without attachment 2 Web mails with MS-Word attachment 1 Web Mail with Excel attachment Now I wish I had a document which would bind the Outlook mail bodies as text files MS-Word documents Excel document Previous versions of MS-Office had Office Binder. • C#: How to distribute a folder as a reference?

  Hi everyone, I am making a C# app and I am using GeckoFX to embed Firefox into my app. For anyone interested, I got it here: http://geckofx.org/. The problem is, I want to deploy GeckoFX with my app and I don't know how to do it. The line of code I use to initialize GeckoFX is this: Skybound.Gecko.Xpcom.Initialize("C:\\xulrunner"); This assumes that the xulrunner folder is at C:\xulrunner. So, my questions is this: how do I add the xulrunner folder as a reference in my app so it's copied relative to where my app is (or at least in a place where my app can find it)? • qmail questions - whitelisting and relays

  My new server runs qmail, which I've never used before. There is no inbound mail on the server (all the clients have mail hosted elsewhere, but some systems on the server send mail. I'm about to move a client there who has several parked domains, and looking at the smtp log, the server is already blocking many attempts to relay spam using one of the parked domain names (probably because a related domain is already hosted there). How do I ensure those mails stay blocked, while allowing legitimate addresses to send out? Server OS is CentOS and hosting software is Kloxo.

  Hi, Iam planning to create an app, and not to publish it at the google market. i want the users to update thire app once in a while when an updates will be rlsd via server(let's not get into the idea how i gonna do this)... so for this i need to give to each app some ID, so i know that that user gotta update his app, and not new installation (i wanna avoid the case the user will have two versions of the app).. and ofcourse install the app to new users. how could i sign those apps with version when i rls an update manually? mybe some other idea? thanks, ray.

• Deploy CakePHP to a subfolder

  I have created a CakePHP 2 app, and now I'm trying to deploy it to a production web server. My app uses the default folder structure (app/lib/plugins/vendors), default htaccess, default routing, nothing special. I've been developing locally as if the app were in the root folder of the site (e.g. http://mycakeapp.localhost/ takes me to the site). But I'm deploying to a site (shared hosting) where that will not be the case (e.g. http://www.somedomain.com/mycakeapp). It doesn't work (I didn't really expect it to), so I assumed I had to tweak one or more htaccess files. I tried modifying the root .htaccess as suggested in this post, but that only partially worked (the link to the CSS didn't work, for instance): <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^mycakeapp$ mycakeapp/app/webroot/ [L] RewriteRule ^mycakeapp/(.*)$ mycakeapp/app/webroot/$1 [L] </IfModule> So what should I do to all the htaccess files to make this CakePHP site work in a subfolder?

• Postfix configuration: different outgoing hosts based on sender

  I've seen a few answers to this on the web, but nothing definitive nor any good examples. I relay all my mail out through Postfix, currently everything sent to my ISP's mail server. However, there are a few users with gmail accounts or gmail-hosted accounts; I'd like to route their outgoing mail through Google's servers (since it will then appear in their Gmail sent folder). All email NOT from one of these senders should go out through the default relayhost. I believe I need to use the "sender_dependent_default_transport_maps" configuration within Postfix, but can't find a good example on what this setup looks like. Can anyone point me at a specific setup?

• Stream post URL security and wall post links

  Our app's mobile client can create wall post links to our app's web-facing pages. Since this happens in the context of a mobile app, we do this on behalf of our user using the Graph API's feed/message endpoint. I noticed that the links showing up in the wall posts are being routed through our app's auth dialog, which is NOT what we want. We just want transparent links, without forcing the client to auth our app, similar to what happens when you share to FB in Path. I went ahead and disabled the "Stream post URL option" several hours ago, but we still seem to be getting the re-routed links for wall posts. The target URLs for these links are within the domain we've registered for our Facebook app. Is there anything else I need to do fix this?

• Is there a faster way to launch Activity on Android when using maven?

  Within Eclipse, everything works perfectly when I run 'mvn install android:deploy'...however, this takes about 18 seconds to complete. Is there a faster way to launch my android application. • Plesk 9.2.1 reporting much more SMTP traffic than the logs indicate

  Plesk is reporting nearly 7GB of SMTP traffic so far this month on one domain, most of it outgoing. However, after running qmail's mail logs (which only go back to May 8) through Sawmill, only about 900MB of traffic on that domain is accounted for. What I know so far: Email sent via PHP's mail() function is sent through sendmail, which has been logging its output via syslog to the same logs that qmail uses, at /usr/local/psa/var/log/ Messages sent by logging in directly via Telnet are logged as well I verified that Plesk is reporting totals correctly by creating a new domain, sending some large emails through it, running Plesk's statistics calculation script, and comparing its reported totals to the actual size of the emails sent The problem domain did have three mail accounts with blank or insecure passwords, which I corrected Does anyone know how Plesk calculates SMTP traffic statistics? Are there some log files elsewhere that I'm missing? What kind of SMTP traffic would Plesk know about that isn't being logged?

• Is there software that will help me convert my PST files into a searachable web archive?

  I have used POP3 for many and many years and always used PST files for back-up purposes. I'd like to be able to create a searchable mail archive of this 12GB worth of e-mail. I had used Horde + Qmail for a while for searching e-mail, but it was truly horrible and even extremely slow when searching into a few ten thousands of e-mails, let alone more than a million. I would prefer a free solution that would provide fast searching through historical e-mails. Also, preferably hosted on a server, so I don't have to worry about backing up any more crucial data on my desktop.

  I would like to block every mail that is coming in from a domain that is running on my server. Example: I have domain1.com on my mail server and I'm getting a mail from outside with an email address of [email protected] Then I know it's a Spam, because domain1.com is on my server, so the sender cannot come from outside. I want postfix to check for this, and simply block these kind of emails. I know this is a function in postfix, just don't know which one. Thanks.

I have a feeling its because of the fact that 4.3 is not using /Developer folder but instead the /Applications/XCode.app/... • How does Rails find models and controllers? How can I get it to load more models?

  I'm trying to create a non-ActiveRecord model in app/models/gamestate.rb. Then inside my controller (PlayController) I should be able to do GameState.new, right? No go: NameError (uninitialized constant PlayController::GameState): app/controllers/play_controller.rb:23:in `play' (at least in the development environment) But! If I do have a model called app/models/play.rb, then it's automatically loaded and I can do Play.new. So my question is: how does Rails know which classes to load? What sort of name mangling does it do to get from play#action to PlayController to app/controllers/play_controller.rb to app/models/play.rb? It seems awfully fragile, but maybe a better understanding of how this works would help. And finally, how can I get it to load app/models/gamestate.rb?

• DNS: domain2 points to domain1

  I have one domain ("domain1") that is set up with hosting and mail (hosted by Gmail Apps). This domain works perfectly. I want a second domain ("domain2") to forward to domain1, but I don't want to use "DNS Forwarding." I would like to have it act EXACTLY like domain1, so that domain2/whatever points to the same resource as domain1/whatever WITHOUT AN HTTP REDIRECT NOR BROWSER TRICKS LIKE FRAMES. I would also love to be able to send mail to "blah@domain2" and have it go to "blah@domain1". Can this be set up, and how? I am using GoDaddy as registrar and DNS host for both domains. GoDaddy is also the web host for domain1, and mail hosting is with Google Apps.

• RAD Visual Web Application Creator/ Builder/ Designer for PHP

  Hi all, I want to see if any of you know a (free and open source will be ideal) tool/ app that can help build a php web application very quickly without investing too much time on writing codes, preferring drag and drop/ point and click work-flow designer for logic design (see Agile from Outsystems below). Plus, visual designer for the business logic is great since it can help a developer visualize the logic better. There are a lot of GUI builders, form builders out there, but I am looking for one app for the entire web application development process. My goal is to find an application that a team of developers can use together and use the build-in code of the app as much as possible. E.g. the app will provide a modular just for handle user login or a shopping cart; a developer just need to drag and drop the modular to the logic designer and the code will be generated. This way the functionality will be in a module and code will always be standard across developers. So if a new developer get on-board, he will just need to use the system and get up and running quickly. To explain this better: there is a lot php frameworks, e.g. cakephp, CodeIgniter, etc which I can use to help coding, but still I need to create (code) the GUI, writing quite a bit of codes. I am looking for a tool/ app that is a little more high level than those frameworks. Here is 2 examples apps I found during my google search which they have visual logic designer and gui builder in one single app. Also a single click deployment (but I need it to be php apps or at least I can deploy the (php) code to a LAMP/ WAMP server): Wavemaker: for JAVA Agile from Outsystems: for JAVA or .net (This one is really good, with work-flow drag and drop logic designer!) Talend: it is just an ETL tool, but the concept is what I want to bring up. Drag and drop, point and click logic design. Custom code can be added if it is needed, but the drag and drop process already finished the structure and most of the coding of the web app one needs to build. I want to list Adobe Flex, but it is more like a GUI designer + IDE, not exactly what I want to describe here. The drag and drop/ work-flow logic designer is a key for the app. I could go for the CMS route by learning how to extend them, but it is not that flexible for me and is a long learning curve. Anybody came across this type of app before? Or any idea of how can I find those apps? I googled them for long time, I don't see any of them for php and just few (just 2) for Java. • Consolidating Contacts from Multiple Services

  I'm looking for a good way to consolidate my many email/messenger contacts through my different accounts and services. I'd like to have all my contacts in one place, or have them sync between all my different services so they are the same everywhere. If possible, it should support Live Mail/Messenger, Google Contacts, and mobile syncing. Windows Live Mail is great for accessing all your mail accounts, but the contacts viewer only works for contacts affiliated with that Live account. I could go for the contacts folder built into Vista and above, but Live messenger doesn't access that so I would have a separate set of contacts for my IM account. Is there software, or an online service, that can do this? If this is asking to much, is there a proper solution to Live/Google Contacts bidirectional sync?

• Postfix, saslauthd, mysql, smtp authentication problems

  Trying to get authentication on my mail server (ubuntu 10.04) running but am having trouble. I have a server with postfix for smtp setup, imap server with courier setup. My postfix authentication is using cyrus (I haven't tried dovecot really) saslauth. The user name and password is stored in a MySql database. Logging in with imap-ssl works on a remote client (thunderbird), and I can read my mail. I can't get the SMTP side working, and have focused the issue down to saslauth. Testing with testsaslauthd -u 'username' -p 'passowrd' -s smtp returns connect() : Permission denied the password in the database is encrypted and I guess this testsaslauthd will take a plain text password and encrypt it. Looking for someone to walk me through getting this working. Im new to the mail server, and have never got one fully working. Thanks. Ask me which log files I should look at/post, which tests to run, permissions to check.

• Corrupted attachments in Thunderbird forward filter

  I created a filter in Thunderbird 14 on client A that, when a certain rule on incoming mail is satisfied, the same mail is forwarded to client B and C. Matching mails received from A are always forwarded to B and C, and that's what I want. Though, when the mail on A has an attachment, it is also forwarded by B and C but the file they receive is corrupted. In my case the incoming file on A is a Word file of about 10kb in size; clients B and C receive a Word file of 27 bytes. I think this could happen because the forward starts from A when the attachment is not yet completely downloaded. I'm not sure this is the cause, though. And I wouldn't have any idea for a fix. Any idea about how to investigate or solve the issue?
