  I got a paper template in .doc format from a conference site. Now when i work on it with libreoffice and insert image to it and insert caption for the image, after closing the file and opening it again, all images are gone. I saw that when the image Anchor is set "to frame" the image will be gone but when it is set to e.g. "to paragraph" it will maintain but it's alignment will be corrupted. Also, i need the Anchor to be set to "Frame". What can I do? I searched the net but i didn't find a good answer.

  Is there a better way to do this? I can't find a way to nest or apply boolean operators to conditions in nginx. Basically if there is a cookie set(non-anonymous user) we want to hit the server. • Using Bulk Operations with Coherence Off-Heap Storage

  Some NamedCache methods (including clear(), entrySet(Filter), aggregate(Filter, …), invoke(Filter, …)) may generate large intermediate results. The size of these intermediate results may result in out-of-memory exceptions on cache servers, and in some cases on cache clients. This may be particularly problematic if out-of-memory exceptions occur on more than one server (since these operations may be cluster-wide) or if these exceptions cause additional memory use on the surviving servers as they take over partitions from the failed servers. This may be particularly problematic with clusters that use off-heap storage (such as NIO or Elastic Data storage options), since these storage options allow greater than normal cache sizes but do nothing to address the size of intermediate results or final result sets. One workaround is to use a PartitionedFilter, which allows the application to break up a larger operation into a number of smaller operations, each targeting either a set of partitions (useful for reducing the load on each cache server) or a set of members (useful for managing client result set sizes). It is also possible to return a key set, and then pull in the full entries using that key set. This also allows the application to take advantage of near caching, though this may be of limited value if the result is large enough to result in near cache thrashing.

  I am using Ubuntu 8.04 and despite using 'gnome-power-manager' to set dpms_method_ac to 'off' for backlight, the screen will not enter standby after set time. Also, "Put display to sleep when inactive for:" (via System-Preferences-Power Management) is already set to 1 minute. Interestingly enough, this only happens when I am logged in. When I am logged out, the screen does go into standby after set time. So I know it's not the screen... Any idea how make Ubuntu 8 screen saver enter screen into standby, while logged in?

I was able to reduce the running time of the solution from 9 seconds to about 3 seconds. I would like to see what else can be done to the code to reduce its running time further.   I have an application who has text fields (not select, not checkbox or other types) where an user can enter some value, like this: ISBN and E-Mail are the label of each input. Now I have to automatically test these inputs according to their label. The question is: how to recognize that, for example, the first input requires an ISBN code? I programmed something like this: turn the label value to lowercase check if the label value contains isbn if so set the field value to a random ISBN code (i.e.: 1234567890), else set it to a random value (default) For the email field: turn the label value to lowercase check if the label value contains e-mail or email or mail if so set the field value to a random email (i.e.: [email protected]), else set it to a random value (default) And so on for each text field I encounter. Is that reliable? How can I improve the "recognizing part"? I know only the label value and the field value (what is already written in the field by default) for each text input.

• NHibernate LINQ query throws error "Could not resolve property"

  I'm testing out using LINQ with NHibernate but have run into some problems with resolving string.length. Then I want to do the same thing in LINQ, and it throws the following error: NHibernate.QueryException: could not resolve property: Url.Length of: DC_Control I've searched alot for this "could not resolve property" error, but I can't quite figure out, what this means. Is this because the LINQ implementation is not complete? If so it's a bit disappointing coming from Linq2Sql where this would just work. I also tried it setting up the mapping with a hbm.xml instead of using FluentNHibernate but it produced teh same error.

• Connection Reset on MySQL query

  OK, I'm flummoxed. I'm trying to execute a query on a database (locally) and I keep getting a connection reset error. Vestibulum in turpis nunc.\'','this,is,a,sample,array',1,'category title') You'll probably notice the big chunk of whitespace before the Lorem Ipsum string. The description field is being populated from a TinyMCE textarea - I'm guessing it's chucking in some line returns, so I've tried stripping those out. However, even if I disable the TinyMCE field, the reset error still occurs. The next port of call was checking the limits on the table, since it seems to insert if the length of "description" is around the 300 mark (it varies between 310 - 330). The field limit is set to VARCHAR(1500) and the validation on this field won't allow anything past bigger than 1200 with HTML, 800 without. The real kicker is that if I take this sql string and execute it via the command line, it works fine - so I can't for the life of me figure out what's wrong. So, in a nutshell, I'm stumped. Any ideas?

• Issue allowing custom Xml Serialization/Deserialization on certain types of field

  I've been working with Xml Serialization/Deserialization in .net and wanted a method where the serialization/deserialization process would only be applied to certain parts of an Xml fragment. This is so I can keep certain parts of the fragment in Xml after the deserialization process. To do this I thought it would be best to create a new class (XmlLiteral) that implemented IXmlSerializable and then wrote specific code for handling the IXmlSerializable.ReadXml and IXmlSerializable.WriteXml methods. In my example below this works for Serializing, however during the Deserialization process it fails to run for multiple uses of my XmlLiteral class. In my example below sTest1 gets populated correctly, but sTest2 and sTest3 are empty. I'm guessing I must be going wrong with the following lines but can't figure out why.. Any ideas at all?
