• HTTP 500 ERROR on CAS Server while setting SSLVerifyClent as "required"

  I have 3 servers, a Apache Server, a JBOSS Server and a CAS Server for SSO. The Apache Server resolve all request with a domain such as www.request.com, and the path of CAS Server is www.request.com/cas, and JBOSS Server is www.request.com/jboss (This app got a CAS client). My problem is if I set SSLVerifyClient require for the NameVirtualHost of www.request.com in my Apache Server, I got a HTTP 500 error during the redirecting to the JBOSS Server(http://www.request.com/jboss), after logined in the CAS login page successfully. But everything goes successfully if there is no SSLVerifyClient require . Error logs of my Apache Server : [Mon Apr 19 17:07:25 2010] [error] Re-negotiation handshake failed: Not accepted by client!? • NHibernate L2 Cache - fluent nHibernate configuration

  I've managed to configure the L2 cache for Get\Load in FHN, but it's not working for queries configured using the ICriteria interface - it doesn't cache the results from these queries. Does anyone know why?   I have an application that has a splash screen shown before I create my main window. I want to avoid the main window stealing the focus when it gets created if the user has focused another application while the splash screen was shown. My application's startup looks like this: private void Application_Startup(object sender, StartupEventArgs e) { SplashScreenService.Start(); // Initializing stuff... ... // Ready to open the main window. MainWindow mainWindow = MainWindow(); mainWindow.ShowActivated = SplashScreenService.HasFocus(); mainWindow.ShowDialog(); } To prevent the main window from getting activated, I'm setting Window.ShowActivated to false, only if the splash screen has lost the focus. But this causes an exception: InvalidOperationException: Cannot show Window when ShowActivated is false and WindowState is set to Maximized. Indeed, my MainWindow sets the WindowState to Maximized (restored from previous session settings). I don't understand why there is such a limitation with the ShowActivated feature. I couldn't find any documentation about this issue. I tried forcing WindowState to Normal when ShowActivated is false, and it prevents the exception, but it also activates the window! Maybe changing the window state actually causes an activation? Is there a trick I can use to work around this? I want to restore my main window in a maximized state, and not have the main window steal focus away from other applications if the user has focused away from my app during the splash screen.

• Eclipse Helios - Not Stopping at Breakpoints (Help!)

  Dear Eclipse Expert, I recently upgraded from Eclipse Galileo to Helios. Helios stops at breakpoints ONLY when debugging "as a PHP Script", but not when debugging "as a Web Page". When debugging as a web page, it looks like the correct debug query string to start a debug session is getting tacked on to the url, like so: http://localhost/hello.php?XDEBUG_SESSION_START=ECLIPSE_DBGP &KEY=129798139020511 but elipse does not stop at the breakpoints. It just zooms thru the code and displays the output in the browser. This query method is called continuously at a regular interval of 5 seconds until a status = Finished or Error is retrieved. In some cases if the task on the server is running for a long duration 2-3 minutes then I receives this error:- Load operation failed for query 'GetTranslationProgress'.   I wrote a program to demonstrate the behavior of DTC timeouts with multiple threads. I'm getting several exceptions, seemingly at random. Are all of these simple Timeouts, or are some of them indicative of deeper problems (connection pool interactions, etc)? The Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MS DTC) has cancelled the distributed transaction. Distributed transaction completed. Either enlist this session in a new transaction or the NULL transaction. The transaction associated with the current connection has completed but has not been disposed. The transaction must be disposed before the connection can be used to execute SQL statements. The operation is not valid for the state of the transaction. ExecuteReader requires an open and available Connection. The connection's current state is closed. • Auto Login facebook user into application

  So, Here is the scenario I am trying to fix. A returning user is logged into facebook but not logged into the application. In this case when the user tries to load the application, since the user cookie is not attained yet, it redirects the user to the login page. I googled around and found this solution, FB.Event.subscribe('auth.sessionChange', function(response) { if (response.session) { window.location.reload(); } } basically whats happening here is, we are registering to facebook for a login/logout event and when it receives a response, we reload the page. Now its loads the right page since we have the user cookie on our site domain after the first load. this works, but the problem is the double load. It takes a lot of time. How can I attain the user cookie on server side for returning user? so that I don't have to do the initial page reload. Also, I have looked at yelp, and somehow they are able to load the user information without doing double load, does any body know they are able to do it? Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks!

• Problem with Remember Me Service in Spring Security

  Hi, I'm trying to implement a "remember me" functionality in my website using Spring. The cookie and entry in the persistent_logins table are getting created correctly. Additionally, I can see that the correct user is being restored as the username is displayed at the top of the page. However, once I try to access any information for this user when they return after they were "remembered", I get a NullPointerException. It looks as though the user isn't being set in the session again. My applicationContext-security.xml contains the following: <remember-me data-source-ref="dataSource" user-service-ref="userService"/> ... <authentication-provider user-service-ref="userService" /> <jdbc-user-service id="userService" data-source-ref="dataSource" role-prefix="ROLE_" users-by-username-query="select email as username, password, 1 as ENABLED from user where email=?" authorities-by-username-query="select user.id as id, upper(role.name) as authority from user, role, users_roles where users_roles.user_fk=id and users_roles.role_fk=role.name and user.email=?"/> I thought it may have had something to do with users-by-username query but surely login wouldn't work correctly if this query was incorrect?   Hi all, I'm trying to achieve some kind of nested transaction behavior using NHibernate's transaction control and FlushMode options, but things got a little bit confusing after too much reading, so any confirmation about the facts I list below will be very usefull. What I want is to open one big transaction that splits in little transactions. Imagine the following scenario: TX1 opens a TX and inserts a Person's record; TX2 opens a TX and updates this Person's name to P2; TX2 commits; TX3 opens a TX and updates this Person's name to P3; TX3 rollbacks; TX1 commits; I'd like to see NH sending the INSERT and the TX2 UPDATE to the database, just ignoring what TX3, as it was rolled back. I tried to use FlushMode = Never and only flushing the session after the proper Begins/Commits/Rollbacks have been demanded, but NH always update the database with the object's final state, independent of commits and rollbacks. Is that normal? Does NH really ignores transactional control when working with FlushMode = Never? I've also tried to use FlushMode = Commit and openning the nested transactions, but I discovered that, because ADO.NET, the nested transactions are, actually, always the same transaction. Note that I'm not trying to achieve a "all or nothing" behavior. I'm looking more to a savepoint way of working. Is there a way to do that (savepoints) with NH? Thank you in advance. Filipe

• Dynamically loaded control - how can I access a value in Page_Init

  I am loading a LinkButton dynamically when a user clicks on another LinkButton. I am attaching an event handler to it. When the user clicks on the dynamically loaded LinkButton, the event does not fire. From what I've been reading, I understand this is because when the page posts back the dynamically loaded control no longer exists. It looks like I'm supposed to make sure this control is recreated in Page_Init. The dynamically created LinkButton is dependedent on a value (Product ID). I need someway to access this value so I can properly create the control. ViewState is not accessible and I'm concerned if I use Session it could time out and then that wouldn't help. Any ideas? Also, I hardcoded a Product ID value just for testing, and that still did not cause the event to fire. • Visual Studio 2008 Web Project error: Unable to start program http://localhost:port

  I am re-hashing this question because I have looked at over 50 threads in different forums and have not been able to get a resolution to my problem. Here are the specs: Windows XP SP3, Visual Studio 2008 SP1, .NET 3.5, ASP. NET MVC 2 project, IE 7 (was IE 8) Up until a few days ago I was not having any issues. It is now happening on any solution that I try to debug. I start a debug session (F5), the solution rebuilds, a VS development web server starts and then I get this error: Unable to start program http://localhost:2012/ If I open a web browser and enter the URL the application loads up. I had upgraded to IE 8 a few weeks ago and read there may be some issues so it has been uninstalled and I am currently on IE 7. Also, while IE 8 was installed I had switched my default browser to Firefox but my current default broweser is now IE7. I have reveiewed the threads on this site and others and have not been able to fix the issue. Any help would be appreciated.

  Hi, I'm developing an ASP.net 2 website for our HR department, where the front page has a matrix of all our departments against pay grades, with links in each cell to all the jobs for that department for that grade. These links take you a page with a gridview populated dynamically, as each department has a different number of teams, e.g. Finance has one team, IT has four. Each cell has a webuser control inserted into it. The user control has a sql datasource, pulling out all the job titles and the primary key, popuating a formview, with a linkbutton whose text value is bound to the job title. (I'm using a usercontrol as this page will also be used to show the results of a search of all roles in a range of grades for a department, and will have a varying number of rows). I've got everything to display nicely, but when I click on the linkbutton, instead of running the code I've put in the Click event, the page posts back without firing any events. Having looked around, it looks like I have to put an addhandler line in somewhere, but I'm not sure where, could anyone give me some pointers please? (fairly numpty please, I'm not too experience in ASP yet and am winging it. • Codeigniter + TankAuth + Swfupload not able to get the logger user id

  Hello. I am using Codeigniter with the TankAuth library installed and trying to upload to index.php/reuqests/doUpload from swfupload but can't access the page as authenticated. I have read many posts around the net about similar problem and tried to set $config['sess_match_useragent'] = FALSE; but still no difference. I have ended up skipping the login check in my controller for testing purposes. But now I need to access tankAuth library from my controller to get the current logged in user ID. It is requested in my application and cannot skip it, I really need to pass the logged in user id to that doUpload model. I have setup controller like this: function doUploadFileFn() { if (!$this->tank_auth->is_logged_in()) { return; } else { $user_id = $this->tank_auth->get_user_id(); $this->load->model('requests/doUploadFile'); $this->doUploadFile->uploadData($user_id); } } Now, it does not pass the is_logged_in() check, as I learned from other posts, CI deletes the session but I have setup the config not to match the user agent but still not working. Is there any solution to this out there ? Thank you.

• Preventing Flex application caching in browser (multiple modules)

  I have a Flex application with multiple modules. When I redeploy the application I was finding that modules (which are deployed as separate swf files) were being cached in the browser and the new versions weren't being loaded. So i tried the age old trick of adding ?version=xxx to all the modules when they are loaded. The value xxx is a global parameter which is actually stored in the host html page: var moduleSection:ModuleLoaderSection; moduleSection = new ModuleLoaderSection(); moduleSection.visible = false; moduleSection.moduleName = moduleName + "?version=" + MySite.masterVersion; In addition I needed to add ?version=xxx to the main .swf that was being loaded. Since this is done by HTML I had to do this by modifying my AC_OETags.js file as below : function AC_FL_RunContent(){ var ret = AC_GetArgs ( arguments, ".swf?mv=" + getMasterVersion(), "movie", "clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" , "application/x-shockwave-flash" ); AC_Generateobj(ret.objAttrs, ret.params, ret.embedAttrs); } This is all fine and works great. I just have a hard time believing that Adobe doesn't already have a way to handle this. Given that Flex is being targeted to design modular applications for business I find it especially surprising. What do other people do? I need to make sure my application reloads correctly even if someone has once per session selected for their 'browser cache checking policy'.

• Google appengine authentication on iPhone web app on the home screen

  I'm using Google appengine for developing an web application that is meant to be used on both the browser and iphone. I have purchased a domain name for this application, so that I have a pretty URL. I've used the User API for authentication. This works just fine on desktop browsers and iPhone Safari. The user could add the application to the home screen (by tapping the "+" at the bottom toolbar). However when that's done, it seems like the cookies set by Google are not in affect within this "application", and the user is effectively logged out. To make matters worse, when the user clicks on the login link (as generated by GAE), the app closes and opens safari to complete the login. Since the session is apparently not shared between the two, the login process is futile, and the "home-screen" version of the app continues to be logged out. It seems that the cookies are not shared between a "home-screen" app and Safari. It also seems that the "home-screen" app will only work within it's own domain, and any redirect to any other domain will open Safari. Any idea how I can go about fixing this?

• JQuery BlockUI - How to unblock UI after file download?

  Using ASP.Net, JQuery and BlockUI, I'm trying to unblock the UI after a download file dialog is shown. I block the UI when export button is clicked: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $('#<%= BtnExport.ClientID%>').click(function(){ $.blockUI(); }); }); </script> After this, I generate the file server side using: private void SendFileToUser(byte[] file, string contentType, string filename) { Response.Clear(); Response.ContentType = contentType; Response.AppendHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename="+filename); Response.OutputStream.Write(file,0,file.Length); Response.OutputStream.Flush(); Response.End(); } After this code has executed, I would like to unblock the UI. I have considered different options: Poll using Ajax calls to see if the file has been generated. Store the file in Session and redirect to same page and generate download then. But both options seem ackward, and I think there must be a clever JavaScript way to get a handle on or wait for a file dialog. Any suggestions?

• Mysql SELECT FOR UPDATE - strange issue

  Hi, I have a strange issue (at least for me :)) with the MySQL's locking facility. I have a table: Create Table: CREATE TABLE test ( id int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, PRIMARY KEY (id) ) ENGINE=InnoDB AUTO_INCREMENT=13 DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 With this data: +----+ | id | +----+ | 3 | | 4 | | 5 | | 6 | | 7 | | 8 | | 10 | | 11 | | 12 | +----+ Now I have 2 clients with these commands executed at the beginning: set autocommit=0; set session transaction isolation level serializable; begin; Now the most interesting part. The first client executes this query: (makes an intent to insert a row with id equal to 9) SELECT * from test where id = 9 FOR UPDATE; Empty set (0.00 sec) Then the second client does the same: SELECT * from test where id = 9 FOR UPDATE; Empty set (0.00 sec) My question is: Why the second client does not block ? An exclusive gap lock should have been set by the first query because FOR UPDATE have been used and the second client should block. If I am wrong, could somebody tell me how to do it correctly ? The MySql version I use is: 5.1.37-1ubuntu5.1 Thanks, Michal

• Jmock mock DAO object

  Hi all, I wrote a method that retrieves certain list of strings, given a correct string key. Now when I create a list(the one to be retrieved by method descibed in previous sentence) and create test I can easily get results and test passes successfully. Now on the other hand if I save the content of this list to database in 2 columns, key and value I wrote a class which retrieves this items with method inside it. And when I print it out to console the expected results are correct, now I initialize my DAO from application context where inside its bean it gets session and because of DAO works. Now I'm trying to write a test which will mock the DAO, because I'm running test localy not on the server .. so I told jmock to mock it : private MyDAO myDAO; in the setup() myDAO = context.mock(MyDAO.class); I think I'm mocking it correctly or not, how can I mock this data from database? what is the best way? Is there somewhere good Jmock documentation? on their official site its not very good and clear, you have to know what you seek in order to find it, can't discover something cool in the mean time.
