  • Is it possible to chain -ms-filters in CSS?

    Does anyone know of a way to chain the proprietary filter properties in CSS. For example I have a div.example and I want to give it a background gradient and a drop shadow. So I'd like to do something like this: div.example { /* gradient */ filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Gradient(startColorstr=#cb141e78,endColorstr=#cb1dde78); /* shadow */ filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.dropShadow(color=00143c, offX=0, offY=3, positive=true); } Except this will of course leave only the drop shadow. Anyone know a good workaround?

  • Glew in VS 2010: unresolved external symbol __imp__glewInit

    I am learning OpenGL by following the redbook. When I come to around page 90, I need use glGenBuffers(); Then I need install "glew". By following the steps in www.cs.uiowa.edu/~cwyman/classes/common/howto/winGLUT.html I download glew.zip from glew.sourceforge.net/ and unpack the files. I put glew.h in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A\Include and put glew32.lib in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A\Lib and put glew32.dll in C:\Windows\System32. After that, I build my project in VS 2010 and in Linker-input, I add dependencies glew32.lib. But when I build it, I have error unresolved external symbol _imp_glewInit I spend whole day to search solutions, but did not find one. Hope someone can help me with this.

    We have subclassed the Silverlight Application class to add some additional functionality and then use this in multiple projects. The problem is that the Resources defined in App.xaml do not seem to get loaded. Has anyone else seen this and/or have some insight?     For retailers the move to mobile has been obvious.  More and more consumers are interacting with retailers, both online and in the store, using their mobile devices.  Retailers are quick to invest in both consumer facing mobile apps as well as ones to equip employees.  But when I talk to retailers about social, the value isn't as clear-cut.  Intuitively, retailers know that better relationships with customers will result in higher sales, but the trip to get there has many paths. The interesting thing about social media is that it has the potential to permeate all parts of the business.  Obviously it works well for marketing, but it also has a place with recruiting, knowledge management, trend analysis, and employee collaboration.  Information gathered from social media can enhance existing processes like assortment planning, product development, space planning, promotion planning, and replenishment.  Letting the customer influence each of these areas helps align the experience. One of the things holding retailers back is the lack of consistent and integrated tools to manage social media and make sense of the huge amounts of data.  To that end Oracle has been aggressively acquiring in the space, as depicted in the infographic below.  Soon, social will get the same level of investment as mobile.   • .NET 3.5 Client Framework redistributable ?

    It's nice from Microsoft to offer things like the Client Framework for anybody who doesn't need the complete framework to run an application. But for about an hour I a searching the web for a redistributable version of this package. I can't find anything. It looks like Client Framework is only possible for Click-Once deployment or a bootstrapper who will download the framework. These are no options for me. On this page http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=992cffcb-f8ce-41d9-8bd6-31f3e216285c&displaylang=en I found a package that will contain both "The download package contains the .NET Framework Client Profile and the full .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1." But again this is not what I need and it's even bigger that the singleFramework. Is there anything like the .NET 3.5 Client Framework redistributable ?

  • Aop, Unity, Interceptors and ASP.NET MVC Controller Action Methods

    Using log4net we would like to log all calls to our ASP.NET MVC controller action methods. The logs should include information about any parameters that were passed to the controller. Rather than hand-coding this in each action method we hope to use an AoP approach with Interceptors via Unity. We already have this working with some other classes that use interfaces (using the InterfaceInterceptor). However, we're not sure how to proceed with our controllers. Should we re-work them slightly to use an interface, or is there a simpler approach? Edit The VirtualMethodInterceptor seems to be the correct approach, however using this results in the following exception: System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null.   • Drupal: I cannot connect to the database.. please help

    hi, I've hard time to make Drupal work on IIS Microsoft server. I've succesfully run Joomla on the same server so I'm pretty sure the following information are correct: host: localhost user: user pass: pass databaseName = servername_databasename I've set the following line in settings.php file: $db_url = 'mysql://user:password@localhost/servername_databasename'; but what I get is this: If you are the maintainer of this site, please check your database settings in the settings.php file and ensure that your hosting provider's database server is running. For more help, see the handbook, or contact your hosting provider. I don't get any other error message such as: database doesn't exist, user/pass wrong.. just this. The database is running, I can access with phpmyadmin. I've tried both "mysql" and "mysqli". The host is a private server (IIS Microsoft), the database is Mysql The database and website files upload have also been succesfull.. so I dunno what to do to fix this issue. thanks

How can I get TestMethodAttribute out of the CustomAttributeData, so that I can extract test methods from a list of MethodBases?

  • Problem with launching JAGUAR in R

    Windows XP, R 2.11.1, Java JRE6 I just installed the Jaguar package.   • Detecting if SQL Server Compact Edition 3.5 SP2 x64 is installed?

    I am building an installer and I want to bootstrap SQL Server Compact Edition 3.5 SP2. The problem is that I am looking for the registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition\v3.5\ENU\DesktopRuntimeVersion. The reason that is a problem is that for 64-bit machines SQL CE requires that both the 32-bit and 64-bit installers are run. You can't install the 64-bit version until the 32-bit version is installed. As soon as the 32-bit version is installed the registry key is populated and my bootstrapper, dotNetInstaller detects that the registry key is there and the x64 version is never installed. Any ideas on how to tell if the x64 version is installed even if the x32 is installed?
