But I need a ListView or other ItemsControl to bind to it in XAML file like this: But I can't figure it out how to pass the ObservableCollection to the ItemsSource of that control. I tried to create a class and then create an instance of a class in xaml file but it did not work. Should I create a static resource somehow Any help will be greatly appreciated.

• PHP - uninitialized array offset

  Hey everyone, I am using PHP to create a form with an array of fields. Basically you can add an unlimited number of 'people' to the form and each person has a first name, last name, and phone number. The form requires that you add a phone number for the first person only. If you leave the phone number field blank on any others, the handler file is supposed to be programmed to use the phone number from the first person. So, my fields are: person[] - a hidden field with a value that is this person's primary key. fname[] - an input field lname[] - an input field phone[] - an input field my form handler looks like this: $people = $_POST['person'] $counter = 0; foreach($people as $person): if(phone[$counter] == '') { // use $phone[0]'s phone number } else { // use $phone[$counter] number } $counter = $counter + 1; endforeach; PHP doesn't like this though, it is throwing me an Notice: Uninitialized string offset error. I debugged it by running the is_array function on people, fname, lname, and phone and it returns true to being an array. I can also manually echo out $phone[2], etc. and get the correct value. I've also ran is_int on the $counter variable and it returned true, so I'm unsure why this isn't working as intended? Any help would be great!

  I have written this PHP include-script but now I'm trying to sort the included files out by variables WITHIN the included php's. In other words, in each included PHP file there is a rating, now I want the ratings to be read so that when they are included they will be sorted out from highest to lowest. (scores are like 6.0 to 9.0) Kind Regards! $location = 'experiments/visualizations'; foreach (glob("$location/*.php") as $filename) { include $filename; } The included files are named randomly like: File1: $filename = "AAAA"; $projecttitle = "Project Name"; $description = "This totally explains the product"; $score = "7.6"; File 2: $filename = "BBBB"; $projecttitle = "Project Name2" $description = "This totally explains the product"; $score = "9.6"; As you can see 9.6 is higher than 7.6 but PHP sorts the includes out by name instead of variables within the file. I tried sorting, but I can't get it fixed. Help!

• Bings Search API always returns the same 10 results

  I am trying to figure Bings Seach API out. I have added the SOAP service to my solution, and I do receive results. The issue, is that the displayed results are always the same, not matter what I have set the request.Web to. When I do the search, it displays 98 results, so it isn't the lack of results.   Hi A default value of 0 is creeping into a Surveys app I am developing, for no reason that I can see. The problem is as follows: I have a group of Html.RadioButtons that represent the possible values a user can choose to answer a survey question (1 == Not at all, 2 == A little, 3 == A lot). I have used a tinyint datatype, that does not allow null, to store the answer to each question. I have put the Questions into my form view model (hence Model.Questions); the questions table has a field called QuestionColumn that allows me to link up the answer table column to the question, as shown above (<%= Html.RadioButton(col, "1")%, etc) [/Note] However, when the user DOESN'T answer the question, the value 0 is getting inserted into the database column. As a result, I don't get what I expect, ie, a validation error. In no place have I stipulated a default value of 0 for the fields in the answers table. So what is happening? Any ideas?

  Edit: I think the answer to my question lies in the ability to set user defined variables in MySQL through PHP - the answer by Multifarious has pointed me in this direction Currently I have a script to cycle over 10M records, it's very slow and it goes like this: I first get a block of 1000 results in an array similar to this: $matches[] = array('quality_rank'=>46732, 'db_id'=>5532); $matches[] = array('quality_rank'=>12324, 'db_id'=>1234); $matches[] = array('quality_rank'=>45235, 'db_id'=>8345); $matches[] = array('quality_rank'=>75543, 'db_id'=>2562); I then cycle through them one by one and update the record $mult = count($matches)*2; foreach($matches as $m) { $rank++; $score = (($m[quality_rank] + $rank)/($mult))*100; $s = "UPDATE `packages_sorted` SET `price_rank` = '".$rank."', `deal_score` = '".$score."' WHERE `db_id` = '".$m[db_id]."' LIMIT 1"; } It seems like this is a very slow way of doing it but I can't find another way to increment the field price_rank by one each time. Can anyone suggest a better method. Note: Although I wouldn't usually store this kind of value in a database I really do need on this occasion for comparison search queries later on in the project. Any help would be kindly appreciated :)

• GDI: Dynamical Multiple Graphics in a page?

  Hi all, I'm quite new to drawing shapes, graphics, bitmaps etc. I googled for a few days,but still havent got a real clue what to do, so please help me: I want to draw a floorplan with certain objects(represented as circles) moving on it. When I click on a object, it needs to show something. So far, I ve been able to draw some circles on a graphic and been able to move the dots by clearing the graphic every time. Ofcourse, this isnt a real solution, since I cant keep track of the different objects on the floorplan (which i need for my clickevent and movings). I hope I explained my problem ok here.   I am using this IP Validation Function that I came across while browsing, it has been working well until today i ran into a problem. For some reason the function won't validate this IP as valid: 203.81.192.26 I'm not too great with regular expressions, so would appreciate any help on what could be wrong. If you have another function, I would appreciate if you could post that for me. • StreamReader returning another char

  I'm trying to read the content of a file with a StreamReader, that receives a FileStream. The file has some spaces inside (char 32) and the StreamReader is reading them as 0 (char 48). The screenshot shows the FileStream buffer and the StreamReader buffer. Both have the value 32, but when I call Read(), it returns 48. Am I missing something here? By the way, the code is running under .NET Compact Framework. • jQuery preventing RedirectToAction from working?

  I have a view, AdvertView in my database, this view is a simple join between some tables (advert, customer, properties). I'm using ANTS performance profiler and it reports that the total runtime of the function is 1.400ms, and 850 of those is with the ToList(). So my question is, why does the tolist function take such a long time here?

• C# Finding 2 positions 1-dimArray

  Hello, In a method i am calculating the longest row of elements. The 1-dim array is filled up with random values (0 or 1). The method looks up the longest row (being 0 or 1, whatever is the longest). Meaning in for example: 1110100 --> the longest row would be 3 (3 * 1) 0110000 --> the longest row would be 4 (4 * 0) My problem is i am trying to perform some type of linear search to show the position of the row in the array. The first example has the longest row of 3 elements (3 times 1). For 1110100 the position in the array would be 0 - 2 (index) For 0110000 the position in the array would be 3 - 6 (index) I have been trying with foreaches, for loops etc..but i cannot seem to get the proper indexes of both. Cannot seem to display both positions properly. For the first example the correct output wouldbe: The largest row of same elements of the array consists of 3 elements on the position 0 - 2.   I use multidimensional arrays to store product attributes (well Virtuemart does, to be precise). When I tried to echo the sub-arrays value, if the sub-array did not exist PHP threw: Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array To get around this, I attempted to create a function to check on every array level if it is an actual array, and if it is empty (when trying on the whole thing at once such as: is_array($array['level1']['level2']['level3']), I got the same error if level1 or level2 are not actual arrays). This is the function ($array contains the array to check, $array_levels is an array containing the names of the sub-arrays, in the order they should apper): function check_md_array($array,$array_levels){ if(is_array($array)){ $dimension = null; //This will store the dimensions string foreach($array_levels as $level){ $dimension .= "['" . $level . • managing classes when everything is relative to a user in nhibernate (orm)

  Firstly I have three entities. Users, Roles, Items A user can have multiple Roles. An item gets assigned to one or more roles. Therefore a user will have access to a distinct set of items. Now there is a few ways I can see this working. There is a Collection on Users which has Roles via a many-to-many assoc. Then each Role in this collection will have its own collection of Items. So for each user I would have to get the User (using nhib and fetch the roles and items with it) then either do a selectMany on the Items in each Role to get all the Items for the user or do a couple of foreach's to port the data to a view or dto model. Create a db trigger to automatically insert into another table that just has the relationship between user and items so that on my User entity I only have a Items collections which has all the items assigned to me. Some other way that i can't think of yet, because I'm new to nHibernate. Now i know that the trigger doesn't feel right but I'm not sure how to do this. We also have some hierarchy later where a user may be in charge of a group of users. If anyone could shed some light on how they go about these scenarios in nhibernate or another orm that would be great, or point be in a direction. I know that in the past you would have to enter all combinations into a table so that the query worked, but when you know sql its not too bad. If you need any other info then let me know. Cheers

• Trying to match variables in a PHP array

  I'm stuck with a php array problem. I've to a webpage that takes values from a URL, and I need to cross reference those values against some values on the page and if they match output a 'yes'. It's an expression engine bodge job. The URL is something like domain.com/page/C12&C14 The C12 and C14 represent different categories. I've taken the last bit of the url, removed the 'C' from the values and then exploded the 12&14 into an array. I print_r the array on the page and it shows: Array ( [0] = 12 [1] = 14 ) So, the values are in the array. Lovely. Now on the page I have an html list which looks like 10 12 14 15 I want to output a YES next to the variables that are current in the array so the ideal output would be: 10 12 - YES 14 - YES 15 I was trying this but it keeps just saying No next to all of them. $currentnumber = 12; foreach ($tharray as $element) { if ($element == $currentnumber) { echo "Yes"; } else { echo "No"; } } I thought that should work, but it's not. I checked and the array and the variable are both stings. I did a strlen() on both to see if they are the same, but $currentnumber outputs '13' and the array variable outputs '2'. Any ideas as to why it's saying 13? Is the variable the wrong type of string - and if so how would I convert it?
