  • How to verify a jQuery plugin is compatible with latest version of jQuery?

    Are there any tools that can verify whether a jQuery plugin will be compatible with the latest version of jQuery? Once a large number of jQuery plugins are selected and in use, an unknown number of dependencies can develop. It would be nice to upgrade jQuery, however not all plugins remain supported or provide consistently architected upgrades. The only option seems to be adhoc manual regression testing. It would be nice to have a strategy for dealing with this issue.

  • Passing pointer position to an object in Java.

    I've got a JPanel class called Board with a static subclass, MouseHanlder, which tracks the mouse position along the appropriate listener in Board. My Board class has fields pointerX and pointerY. How do i pass the e.getX() and e.getY() from the MouseHandler subclass to its super class JPanel? I tried with getters, setters, super, and cant get the data transfer between subclass and parent class. I'm certain it's a concept issue, but im stuck. Thanks!

  • Slow (to none) performance on SQL 2005 after attaching SQL 2000 database

    Issue: Using the detach/attach SQL database from a SQL 2000 SP4 instance to a much beefier SQL 2005 SP2 server. Run reindex, reorganize and update statistics a couple of times, but without any success. Queries on SQL 2000 took about 1-2 sec. to complete, now the same queries take 2-3 min on the SQL 2005 (and even 2008 - tested it there also). Have looked at the execution plans and the overall percent matches or are alike on each server.

  • Browser show incomplete JSP data

    I am using JSP, Struts 1.3 and Apache Tomcat 5.5. For some reason response from JSP is being truncated and complete information is not shown. Class generated from the problem JSP page looks just fine. There are no any errors logged in Catalina's logs. I have no idea how this issue can be fixed.

    I've placed the players in "sites/all/libraries/" but I'm still getting this message when I go to admin/settings/swftools/handling, "FlexPaper - Missing sites/all/libraries/flexpaper/FlexPaperViewer.swf" Anyone having the same issue? On a side note when I setup the swftools profile and then assign the CCK formater and then goto the page to view the swf I get this message: "No modules have registered the action swf_list.     I am working on a Macbook system , which is formatted as a case insensitive system. The issue is that, I need to check out a SVN branch which has some case sensitive files in it. Example: inbuilt-file.c InBuilt-File.c How do I checkout this branch when both the files are in the same folder? When I try and checkout, it gives me an error stating that an unversioned file of the name already exists.

    I've defined a struct and want to assign one of its values to a NSMutableDictionary. When I try, I get a EXC_BAD_ACCESS. Here is the code: //in .h file typedef struct { NSString *valueOne; NSString *valueTwo; } myStruct; myStruct aStruct; //in .m file - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; aStruct.valueOne = @"firstValue"; } //at some later time [myDictionary setValue:aStruct.valueOne forKey:@"key1"]; //dies here with EXC_BAD_ACCESS This is the output in debugger console: (gdb) p aStruct.valueOne $1 = (NSString *) 0xf41850 Is there a way to tell what the value of aStruct.valueOne is? Since it is an NSString, why does the dictionary have such a problem with it? ------------- EDIT ------------- This edit is based on some comments below. The problem appears to be in the struct memory allocation. I have no issues assigning the struct value to the dictionary in viewDidLoad, as mentioned in one of the comments. The problem is that later on, I run into an issue with the struct. Just before the error, I do: po aStruct.oneValue Program received signal EXC_BAD_ACCESS, Could not access memory. Reason: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at address: 0x00000000 0x9895cedb in objc_msgSend () The program being debugged was signaled while in a function called from GDB. GDB has restored the context to what it was before the call. To change this behavior use "set unwindonsignal off" Evaluation of the expression containing the function (_NSPrintForDebugger) will be abandoned. This occurs just before the EXC_BAD_ACCESS: NSDateFormatter *formatter = [[NSDateFormatter alloc] init]; [formatter setDateFormat:@"MM-dd-yy_HH-mm-ss-A"]; NSString *date = [formatter stringFromDate:[NSDate date]]; [formatter release]; aStruct.valueOne = date; So the memory issue is most likely in my releasing of formatter. The date var has no retain. Should I instead be doing NSString *date = [[formatter stringFromDate:[NSDate date]] retain]; Which does work but then I'm left with a memory leak.

    I live in Canada, so am fortunate that I can tether. One issue is that to toggle tethering, you need to drill down four screens in Settings, which is just a big hassle. A Google search returned nothing, so I was wondering if anyone here knew the code to turn on/off tethering? I know there's a toggle for SBSettings, but I do not have a jailbroken phone, I just want to create an app I build onto my phone and have an icon for quickly toggling it. Thanks

    Is it possible to get all keys in a column family using SimpleCassie? I looked at SimpleCassie's google code, but do not figure out.     Hi All, I have a login button at the footer of my main page or landing page.Currently when user click on the button a login form will get open from TOP to BOTTOM i.e. from the start of form to the "LOGIN" button.What i want is that when i click on the login button it should open the form using slide effect but from the BUTTON to the TOP.I don't want to include library like jQuery as there are some conflict issue with it.     Hello, I have a List of object, produced by JPA q.getResultList(). I would like to use it in a drop down, but Stripes "option" tag cant accept List, just Collection, Enum and Map. Im new to Java, that why perhaps the List can translated to each of them but I dont know how can I solve this issue.     I know that when parsing XML with objective-c most of the time you use NSXMLParser. But what if you only need to read one element. Using NSXMLParser sounds like an overload to me. The issue is that flickr API doesn't use JSON as response when uploading an image. For my CodeSmith project (.csp) I can select an option to have it automatically add all generated files to the current project (.csproj). But I want to be able to add the output to multiple projects (.csproj). Is there an option inside of CodeSmith to allow this? Or is there a good way to programmatically do that? Thanks.
