  • Fluentemail not working locally but working on server

    My web app using Fluentemail to send emails. But there is strange thing happening, it is sending emails on server successfully, but locally I am getting such kind of errors: RazorEngine.Templating.TemplateCompilationException: Unable to compile template.     I was wondering if it's possible to authorize parts of a view inside the view. I have setup a custom route as defined in my global.asax: routes.MapRoute( "Search", "{controller}/{action}/{type}/{searchterm}", new { controller = "Search", action = "Results", type = "", searchterm = "" } ); Now all I want to do it in a controller when data is passed via POST basically go in the format: http://localhost/Search/Results/2/RG12%201JD Instead what happens is: http://localhost/Search/Results?type=1&searchterm=RG12%201JD What am I doing wrong, the offending code is: return RedirectToAction("Results",new {type = "1", searchterm = "RG12%201JD" }); Any help would be greatly appreciated!   • problem with sqldatasource and data binding

    I am trying to pull out data from the table I had from the database according to the id which is passed from the URL. However I always get data from id= 1? Why?     My site allows anonymous users. I saw that under heavy load user get sometimes profile values from other users. This happens for anonymous users.   • Inclusion Handling in MVC 2 / MVCContrib

    I'd like to improve my page by combining and minifying javascript and CSS files. Since MVCContrib already contains a project called IncludeHandling, I took a look at that which unfortunately left me with unanswered questions: There is quite a set of interfaces and objects involved in the process. Now I'm using Ninject.Mvc, but it seems that MvcContrib.IncludeHandling is using some additional (home-brewed?) DI? Can I work around this? Has anybody used this and can share some experiences? Secondly, advice that is often heard is to put static content on different domains so the request does not contain cookies and the like, making it much easier for the server to handle the request. But how can I combine this with automatic inclusion handling - isn't that necessarily served in the same application? EDIT: Figured that there is really just a single resolve call in the whole thing, i really wonder why they use DI for that... Thinking about a fork there...

Basically what I want is to load a dropdownlist depending on the value of a previous one, and I want it to load the data and appear when the other one is changed.     In my most recent question: Unit Testing Best Practice? / C# InternalsVisibleTo() attribute for VBNET 2.0 while testing?, I was asking about InternalsVisibleToAttribute. I have read the documentation on how to use it, and everything is fine and understood. However, I can't instantiate my class Groupe from my Testing project. I want to be able to instantiate my internal class in my wrapper assembly, from my testing assembly. Any help is appreciated!     after showing the ModalPopupExtender, there are two radio buttons that are displayed as part of the popup. When you select the second radio button, I display more information in a gridview control. When the ModalPopupExtender first displays, I have it set at 40% for width and height for the panel associated with the popup. After clicking the second radio button, I would like to resize the popup to 80% for width and height. My question is how do you resize ModalPopupExtender after it's initial popup?

I thought at first that because during testing GetFormsByStatus() returns 0 results maybe that was causing problems, but it doesn't make sense that Except() wouldn't work if the provided list had 0 items. Can anyone spot what I'm doing wrong? Thanks so much!

    Using ASP MVC, I have set up a webpage for localhost/Dinner/100 to show the dinner details for dinner with ID = 100. On the page, there is a dropdown that shows Dinner 1, Dinner 2, etc. The user should select the dinner of interest (Dinner 2, ID = 102) off the form and press submit. The page should refresh and show the url: localhost/Dinner/102, and show the details of dinner 2. My code is working except for the url. During this, my url shows localhost/Dinner/100 even though it is correctly displaying the details of Dinner 2 (ID = 102). My controller method is pretty simple: public ActionResult Index(string id) { int Id = 0; if (!IsValidFacilityId(id) || !int.TryParse(id, out Id)) { return Redirect("/"); } return View(CreateViewModel(Id)); } can you help me figure out how to get this all working? p.s.     I am in the process of implementing the jqGrid and would like to be able to use the sorting functionality. I have run into some issues with sorting columns that are related to the base table.     I have 5 links that are on the same form but I would like them all to reference the same AJAX modalpopup extender. I am basically showing a panel with the same view layout with just different data depending on which link is pressed, showing different match scores from games. The only way I can get it to work is have 5 panels with unique names and each link references its own panel. Can I get all the links to call one panel? Thanks

    Hello, I found an example for async ftp upload on msdn which does the following (snippet): // Asynchronously get the stream for the file contents. request.BeginGetRequestStream( new AsyncCallback (EndGetStreamCallback), state ); // Block the current thread until all operations are complete. waitObject.WaitOne(); The thing what I do not understand here is, which sense does asynchronous IO make if the thread is blocked anyway with an explicit waithandle. I always thought the advantage of asynchronous IO was that the user/programm does not have to wait.

Seems neater to me... Does anyone know what is meant by the following line?: Nested types include the notion of member accessibility, which some programmers do not understand clearly Using Namespaces to group the Class and Enum doesn't seem like a useful way to resolve this warning, since I would like both the enum to belong to the same parent level as the class name.

  • WCF - calling back to client (duplex ?)

    Hi, I have a problem with what solution to choose.. I have a server running having a Service running that can receive orders from a website. To this server several client (remote computers) are connected somehow. I would really like to use WCF for all comunication, but not sure it's possible. I dont wanna configure all client firewall settings in their routers, so the clients would have to connect to the server. But when an order is recieved on the server, it should be transferred to a specific client. One solution could be to have the Client connect using a duplex binding, but it will have to somehow keep the connection alive in order to be able to received data from server... Is this a good way to do this ?? Normally the connection times out and probably for a good reason... Anyone have insight to this problem. Thx alot for any advise :-) Best Regards Søren Müller
