• Simulation in Java/C for AI design

  I want to conduct a contest, in which contestants are required to code in java/c and design AI or gameplay. The game should have a visual simulation so that the players could enjoy their designs (AI or gameplay) graphically as well. A possible example can be soccer, in which contestant have to design the ai of the players and decided upon the team-play. Also, they play over the network in such a game against some other player.   I have Ubuntu server 9.10 running through VMware Fusion 2.0.6 on my Mac OSX 10.5 host. My linux guest VM's time keep being out of sync. I believe I have VMware tools installed because after running the following on linux in the terminal, I get: $vmware-toolbox-cmd timesync status Enabled What should I do to make sure my time is always in sync?

  My organization automatically attaches an email signature for all employees' outgoing messages. The signature contains onerous warnings and disclaimers that sound very official and imply all kinds of legal standing. Is there any point to this? It makes email replies hard to follow and is can be contradictory with a tools like public mailing lists. If there's no point, how can I convince whoever set the policy of this?

  I wonder if there is an option (inside of Evernote or outside of it, manually with the help of 3rd party tools) to locate the biggest notes inside of Evernote? I want to remove those or put them into another system. Basically a "order after note(file) size" option is what I need.   I am looking for a command-line tool for Unix (ideally, available in a Debian / Ubuntu package) for extracting all MIME parts from a multipart email message (or the body from a singlepart with an interesting content-type, for that matter). I have been using the mimeexplode tool which ships with the Perl MIME::Tools package, but it's not really production quality (the script is included as an example only, and has issues with what it regards as "evil" character sets) and I could certainly roll my own script based on that, but if this particular wheel has already been innovated, perhaps I shouldn't.

  I've got an Apache (2) server with several virtual hosts. I currently have mysql db locks problems on one virtual host. A common and practical way to easy release those locks and unlock the site (while the dev team refactor its application to avoid the locks), is to simply restart the apache server. • Is it possible to apply a Theme to Google Chrome when it's in "Application Mode"?

  I've applied the "brushed" theme (https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/en/themes/theme%5Fbrushed.html) to my main google chrome browser windows without any problem. However none of the "application mode" shortcuts I created pick up this theme. For example, running chrome as follows does not pick up the "brushed" theme: chrome.exe --app=gmail.com I want to be able to apply themes to google chrome in application mode.
