  • Android - Redirect sending of SMS message

    I currently use a ContentObserver to listen for changes in the SMS ContentProvider and tell my application whether a message has been sent or received. Upon getting notification that a message is being sent I would like to present the user the option to send that SMS normally over GSM/CDMA or if connected to Wifi to send the SMS over an ip connection. I am aware of how to present my own application as an option to create and send an SMS when a user clicks on a contacts information and "Send SMS" but this is not what I want. I want the user to be able to use the native or a 3rd party SMS application and when they try to send an SMS present them with a dialog screen giving them the option to send the SMS in whichever direction they want. So is it possible that once I get notified an SMS is being sent to pause it, allow the user to pick the desired route to send it and then change the sms from being sent over GSM/CDMA to being sent using a protocol over IP if required?

  • Using complex data types from Java in Axis webservice

    I am currently developing a Java app which handles a SOAP webservice. The problem lies after I parse the WSDL [the Parser object from Apache Axis does it for me], and I create the call. When I try to invoke it, I have to pass a Object[] to assign the parameters [taken from the Action of the WSDL]. A normal action is easy, but when I have custom datatypes, I can't get it to fill it out for me. I try to pass Object[]{ new Object { }}, but it assigns the first field instead. I can't pass it already processed, because it changes the '< ' to '--lt --gt', and the server doesn't recognize it'.   • Adding a sortcomparefunction to Dynamic Data Grid in flex

    Hi, I am trying to create a dynamic datagrid in Flex 3, I have a list of columns a list of objects which correspond to datapoints for those columns which I fetch from a url. While the grid works perfectly fine the problem is that sorting on the columns is done in lexical order. I am aware that this can be fixed by adding a sortcomparefunction to a column, which is not easy for this case. I have tried doing var dgc:DataGridColumn = new DataGridColumn(dtf); f1[dtf] = function(obj1:Object, obj2:Object):int { return Comparators.sortNumeric(obj1[dtf],obj2[dtf]); }; dgc.sortCompareFunction = f1[dtf];` But the problem is that the function object that I am creating here is being overwritten in every iteration (as I am adding columns) and eventually all the columns will have sorting done only on the last column added. Suggestions please.

    Hello again, I think the title says it all. I'm using Reminder fifteenMinReminder = new Reminder(); fifteenMinReminder.Minutes = 15; fifteenMinReminder.Method = Reminder.ReminderMethod.email; entry.Reminders.Add(fifteenMinReminder); on a brand new entry (where Reminder and Reminders are Nothing), but I cannot add a reminder using the above code (taken straight from the Google Docs), or set the entry.Reminder to fifteenMinReminder directly either. What am I doing wrong? I've had no trouble .adding When and Where's to the entry, but the Reminder doesn't want to follow the same pattern. Any ideas?

If I'm reading correctly, this is not supported by the javascript library? I got this to work with the java library, but would like to push this functionality to the client. Is it possible?   • NHibernate CreateSQLQuery data conversion from bit to boolean error

    Hi, Im being a bit lazy in NHibernate and using Session.CreateSqlQuery(...) instead of doing the whole thing with Lambda's. Anyway what struct me is that there seems to be a problem converting some of the types returned from (in this case the MySQL) DB into native .Net tyes. The query in question looks like this.... IList<Client> allocatableClients = Session.CreateSQLQuery( "select clients.id as Id, clients.name as Name, clients.customercode as CustomerCode, clients.superclient as SuperClient, clients.clienttypeid as ClientType " + ... ... .SetResultTransformer(new NHibernate.Transform.AliasToBeanResultTransformer(typeof(Client))).List<Client>(); The type in the database of SuperClient is a bit(1) and in the Client object the type is a bool. The error received is: System.ArgumentException: Object of type 'System.UInt64' cannot be converted to type 'System.Boolean'. It seems strange that this conversion cannot be completed. Would be greatful for any ideas. Thanks.

I have two entities: User Location But, I want the relationship between these two entities to be many-to-many (a user can be in many locations and a location can have many users). To do this I need to introduce an association class UserLocation. Is it correct to say I now have 3 entities? If I were to draw an ER diagam of the above, would I draw in the UserLocation entity, and would the cardinality look like this? User 1 ------ * User Location * ------ 1 Location

    Hi, I can't figure out why this is happening. I can add to the context. But when I retrieve the objects, it returns the correct number of objects but the attributes of the objects are null.     Following Post-Redirect-Get pattern as described in various spots but maybe in most detail here by Stephen Walter I want to use RedirectToAction but it does not accept a parameter for sending object to it. I can only send route values either as an object or as an RouteValueDictionary. So currently I send object ID and type and pull the object out of the datastore again in the action to which I redirected (like Results). // redirect to confirm view return RedirectToAction("ChangeSuccess", "Redirect", new { slug = tabgroup.Slug, contentType = tabgroup.ContentType }); But I would like to send an object there because I already have it in my updating controller action so I don't need to pull it out again. Is that possible somehow?

    Hi, I'm using the java library to access the gdata api. I just want to be able to print the contents of a document. I setup my project to list all the docs in my feed, now that I have a document listing, I want to print its contents: for (DocumentListEntry entry : feed.getEntries()) { // Ok, how do we print the doc's contents now? entry.getContents(); } It looks like we're supposed to get the URL from the entry, then read the contents at the URL ourselves. I found a post stating that this is how we get that URL: MediaContent content = (MediaContent)entry.getContent(); String url = content.getUri(); but when I try to read from it, I get an html response saying 'this content has moved'. I read that this is because we have to authenticate our http-read method, but I'm not sure how to do that. Is there really no built-in way to do this? Thanks

    My project is structured as follows: DAL public IQueryable<Post> GetPosts() { var posts = from p in context.Post select p; return posts; } Service public IList<Post> GetPosts() { var posts = repository.GetPosts().ToList(); return posts; } //Returns a list of the latest feeds, restricted by the count. public IList<PostFeed> GetPostFeeds(int latestCount) { List<Post> post - GetPosts(); //CODE TO CREATE FEEDS HERE return feeds; } Lets say the GetPostFeeds(5) is supposed to return the 5 latest feeds. By going up the list, doesn't it pull down every single post from the database from GetPosts(), just to extract 5 from it? If each post is say 5kb from the database, and there is 1 million records. Wont that be 5GB of ram being used per call to GetPostFeeds()? Is this the way it happens? Should I go back to my DAL and write queries that return only what I need?

  • Map API with Building Elevation Data

    Hi! I'm looking for a map API where I can get detailed elevation for points. I'm not looking elevation differences for certain paths along roads on the map but actual building heights. Getting the the 3d meshes for buildings would also be fine since I can compute the height myself using that information. Does any of the map API's out there support giving out this kind of information? EDIT: Free API's are preferred but if that's not an option I'd like to hear about non free alternatives as well.

    I have a wcf Service application in VS2010.My local machine is a 32 bit OS where as the server is a 64 bit. There are around 6 services in my solution. Im successfully able to host the application on IIS on my local machine.And it works fine. But when i try host that service application on Server i gets the below error Could not load file or assembly 'GMap.NET.Core' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. I do have reference added in my solution for GMap.NET.Core . I have tried to set the properties in my solution to Any CPU . Also in the application pool i have set the Enable 32-Bit Application to True. i have also set the Copy Local to TRUE in my solution before publishing. When i run the source on through my solution i dont get any error and the solution is built successfully. What else can i try to get my services successfully hosted on the Server and should be accessed through my application.
