• Problem with cometd and jetty 6 / 7

  Hi chaps, I'm trying to get started with cometd (http://cometd.org/) and jetty 6 or 7, but I seem to be having problems. I've got an ant script that packages my code up into a war with the cometd 1.1.1 binaries and jetty binaries that are appropriate to the version of jetty I deploy the war to (so 7.1.2.v20100523 binaries when I deploy to jetty 7.1.2.v20100523 and 6.1.24 when I deploy to 6.1.24). I first tried getting a setup with version 7.1.2.v20100523, but when I tried to deploy I got a very long stack trace sample of which is: 2010-05-26 15:32:12.906:WARN::Problem processing jar entry   I know something similar has been asked already, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find a reliable answer - even with searching for over 2 days. The basic problem is the same as asked multiple time. • half or quarter black screen in android

  I have an android activity that when I launch sometimes (about 1 in 4 times) it only draws quarter or half the screen before showing it. When I change the orientation or press a button the screen draws properly. I'm just using TextViews, Buttons, Fonts - no drawing or anything like that. All of my code for initialising is in the onCreate(). In this method I'm loading a text file, of about 40 lines long, and also getting a shared preference. Could this cause a delay so that it can't draw the intent? Thanks in advance if anyone has seen anything similar. EDIT - I tried commenting out the loading of the word list, but it didn't fix the problem. I want to use L2E since it s very convenient to my company's apps, I created a demo project, the demo does run on every machine but when I, lets say, press a button that has some code that uses the entity I get this error: specified store provider cannot be found in the configuration, or is not valid. note that I get this error only on machines that does not have VS2008 installed, on these machines (the ones with VS2008) the demo works well. any advice is appreciated. I have enabled sessions, so that I can track login status, etc. I don't need some super security here (ie message-level security), all I need is transport security (HTTPS), since this service will be used infrequently, and performances are not so much of an issue. I am having difficulties making it to work at all. C# throws some unclear exception ("Server returned an invalid SOAP Fault. Please see InnerException for more details.", which in turn says "Unbound prefix used in qualified name 'rpc:ProcedureNotPresent'."), but consuming service using PHP SOAP client behaves as expected (including session and all). I want to use L2E since it s very convenient to my company's apps, I created a demo project, the demo does run on every machine but when I, lets say, press a button that has some code that uses the entity I get this error: specified store provider cannot be found in the configuration, or is not valid. note that I get this error only on machines that does not have VS2008 installed, on these machines (the ones with VS2008) the demo works well. any advice is appreciated. I am using MySql server with Mysql Conector 6.3 and the model is created with ADO.Net entitiy model. • Please help me understand why my XSL Transform is not transforming

  I'm trying to transform one XML format to another using XSL. Try as I might, I can't seem to get a result. I've hacked away at this for a while now and I've had no success. I'm not even getting any exceptions. I'm going to post the entire code and hopefully someone can help me work out what I've done wrong. I'm aware there are likely to be problems in the xsl I have in terms of selects and matches, but I'm not fussed about that at the moment. The output I'm getting is the input XML without any XML tags. The transformation is simply not occurring. • Project compilation requires a class that is not used anywhere

  When I build with ant my project that uses libgdx, I get a strange error. It says that a class com.google.gwt.dom.client.ImageElement is not found, but it isn't used at all in the code. How can I find what makes this class necessary? Even searching over the whole project doesn't give any results. It says that error is at PixmapTextureAtlas.java:16 (class source), but there is no code that uses that ImageElement class. Adding the library containing com.google.gwt.dom.client.ImageElement class helps, of course, but I'd like to figure out why this class in needed. • Spring security - Reach users ID without passing it through every controller

  I have a design issue that I don't know how to solve. I'm using Spring 3.2.4 and Spring security 3.1.4. I have a Account table in my database that looks like this: create table Account (id identity, username varchar unique, password varchar not null, firstName varchar not null, lastName varchar not null, university varchar not null, primary key (id)); Until recently my username was just only a username but I changed it to be the email address instead since many users want to login with that instead. I have a header that I include on all my pages which got a link to the users profile like this: <a href="/project/users/<%= request.getUserPrincipal().getName()%>" class="navbar-link"><strong><%= request.getUserPrincipal().getName()%></strong></a> The problem is that <%= request.getUserPrincipal().getName()%> returns the email now, I don't want to link the user's with thier emails. Instead I want to use the id every user have to link to the profile. How do I reach the users id's from every page? I have been thinking of two solutions but I'm not sure: Change the principal to contain the id as well, don't know how to do this and having problem finding good information on the topic. Add a model attribute to all my controllers that contain the whole user but this would be really ugly, like this. Account account = entityManager.find(Account.class, email); model.addAttribute("account", account); There are more way's as well and I have no clue which one is to prefer.   Ok, so my asset pipeline has suddenly started acting up on my development machine. JS functions that previously worked are now throwing "not a function" errors.. I know I must be doing something wrong. A minute ago the datatables jquery function was working, then it was throwing an error, then it was working, and now it's not working or throwing an error. • SVG as CSS background for website navigation-bar

  I drew a small (horizontal / in width) svg to be the background of my website's navigation. My website's navigation takes place a 100% of the browser's viewport and I want the svg image to fill that 100% space. So, using css I set the background of the navigation (.nav) to nav.svg but then I saw (whenI opened the html file in a browser) that the svg was not the full-width of the nav, but at the small width I drew it at. How can I get the SVG to stretch and fill the entire width of the navigation (100% of the page) ?   Hi, I have been busy creating an app for Red5. Imagine what was my surprise when I tried to configure basic/digest authentication and I couldn't. What struck me as strange is that I have a running tomcat instance that works and authenticates correctly with the following xmls: web.xml (part of) <security-constraint> <web-resource-collection> <web-resource-name>A Protected Page</web-resource-name> <url-pattern>/stats.jsp</url-pattern> </web-resource-collection> <auth-constraint> <description/> <role-name>tomcat</role-name> </auth-constraint> </security-constraint> <login-config> <auth-method>DIGEST</auth-method> <realm-name>BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA</realm-name> </login-config> <security-role> <description/> <role-name>tomcat</role-name> </security-role> and a tomcat-users.xml in /conf that looks kinda like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <tomcat-users> <role rolename="tomcat"/> <user username="ide" password="bogus" roles="tomcat"/> </tomcat-users> The annoying thing is that configuration authenticates correctly when on tomcat's servlet container, but on the red5's modified one, it just keeps asking for authentication. Am I becoming mad or it should work like a charm? Red5 is version 0_9_1 The stats.jsp is accessible in both servlet containers, the only difference is that when you input the correct password and username in tomcat, you are logged in, and in red5 you are not, it just keeps asking you for the password. Any pointers? Am I missing something? • XSL using apply templates and match instead of call template

  I am trying to make the transition from using call-template to using applay templates and match but i'm not getting any data displayed only what is between the volunteer tags. When i use call template it works fine but it was suggested that i use applay-templates and match and not it doesn't work Any ideas how to make this work? Is there a way to clean this up, say with a named template for bicycle fields, for wheel fields and for reflector fields? In the real world example this is based on, there are many more attributes to a "bicycle" than just color, and I want to make this XSL easy to change to include or exclude fields without having to change the XSL in multiple places.
