• How to compile scheme into native binary files ?

  I am very new to scheme. And now I am trying to compile some scheme code into binary file which will be loaded faster into interpreter. (The interpreter is a hybrid interpreter)Some one told me that I can compile the code into native binary file and then load it into interperter. And my question is: 1. What is the native binary file? 2. How can I compile the scheme code into a native binary file? 3. How can I load native bianry file into scheme interpreter? Thanks in advance. • Neither IE or Firefox respects the control values that are output

  I'm writing a survey designer asp.net mvc. It has buttons to move questions up and down. The buttons post the whole form back and the affected questions are swapped on the server. When the form returns the only thing that is changed are the values for each survey question. Both firefox and IE seem to ignore this change. Nothing is persisted to the database (until save) and url doesn't change so the post just returns the same view but I've stepped through my code to ensure the sequence of values being rendered in the view reflects the swap which is ok. However "view - source" doesn't show the change suggesting caching issue (maybe auto complete). I've tried autocomplete="off" in my form. Response.Cache.SetNoStore(); in my global.asax [System.Web.Mvc.OutputCache(NoStore = true, Duration = 0, VaryByParam = "*")] before my controller and the following in my page header NOTHING!!! This must be real common. Anyone got a clue?

• Robust C# Plugin System

  I am writing a tool which communicates with more than one version control system, either subversion or clearcase, and has various utilities which can be plugged into it. I though of using MEF to load the version control providers, and utiilities, both of which have interfaces definied for them. I've started to use MEF for this. But if loading any plugin fails (on half my clients machines, the ClearCase COM bindings won't be present, so loading will fail, on the other half SVN won't be installed, so the SVN plugin won't load) though, MEF throws an exception and no plugin works; I was hoping that the rest of the plugins would load. [ImportMany(AllowRecomposition = true)] public IEnumerable<IVersionControl> RegisteredProviders { get; private set; } Instead, if any providers fail to construct themselves, then RegisteredProviders is null. Is there a simple way of configuring MEF to achieve this (reporting exceptions but loading other instances), or do I have to change the interface to delay their intialisation failure until after MEF has instantiated the objects?

• Python mechanize - two buttons of type 'submit'

  I have a mechanize script written in python that fills out a web form and is supposed to click on the 'create' button. But there's a problem, the form has two buttons. One for 'add attached file' and one for 'create'. Both are of type 'submit', and the attach button is the first one listed. So when I select the forum and do br.submit(), it clicks on the 'attach' button instead of 'create'. Extensive Googling has yielded nothing useful for selecting a specific button in a form. Does anyone know of any methods for skipping over the first 'submit' button and clicking the second?

• Jquery Live Validation

  Hello Everyone, After having a search around I could not find exactly what I want, I am looking to validate a form client side using the Jquery library and some form of validation plugin. I was hoping that some one could advise me on whether there are any validation plugins out there that do not use generic error messages, as my form is laid out with no room for these errors, and I also I want the validator to to for correct content as well. Basically I want to be able to check the field on each key press and blur and if the fields validates for it to gain a green border, and if it does not validate for it to gain a red border, any one know of a plugin that can do this?   Hi, I am trying to use JSF 2.0 flash via redirects. I have a class named UserBean (ManagedScoped and RequestScoped). It has a method called getValuesFromFlash which essentially gets the values from the flash and sets the coresponding properties of the UserBean public void getValuesFromFlash() { Flash flash = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getFlash(); firstName= (String) flash.get("firstName"); lastName = (String) flash.get("lastName"); } In the entry page the <h:inputText> are bound to the flash.   I am using rails 3.0.0.beta3 and I am trying to implement form with nested attributes using :accepts_nested_attributes_for. My form is nested to three levels: Survey Question Answer. Survey has_many Questions, and Question has many Answers. Inside the Survey model, there is :accepts_nested_attributes_for :questions and inside the question mode, there is :accepts_nested_attributes_for :answers Everything is working fine except when I add a new answer to an existing question, it doesn't get created. However, if I make changes to the corresponding question while creating the answer, I can successfully create the answer. This example is exactly similar to a railscast: http://railscasts.com/episodes/197-nested-model-form-part-2 but doesn't work in rails3 (at least in my case). Please let me know if there is any issue with nested attributes in Rails 3. Thanks in advance.

  Hi I load my self-made webuser controls dynamically. A user chooses a template and depending on that template I load some self-made webuser controls (.ascx) that are defined in a sql server database. When the user fills in the TextBoxes and clicks on the submit button, the entries in the TextBoxes should be saved in my database. The problem is that when clicking the submit button, the TextBox entries are erased. I searched a lot to fix this problem, for example I tried to load every control again every postback by putting the code in the Page_Init event but unfortunately it won't work.

• Init modules in apache2

  Hello, I used to write apache modules in apache 1.3, but these days I am willing to pass to apache2. The module that I am writing at the moment has is own binary data, not a database, for performance purposes. I need to load this data in shared memory, so every child can access it without making his own copy, and it would be practical to load/create the binary data at startup, as I was used to do with apache 1.3. Problem is that I don't find an init event in apache2, in 1.3 in the module struct, immediatly after STANDARD_MODULE_STUFF you find a place for a /** module initializer */, in which you can put a function that will be executed early. Body of the function I used to write is something like: if ( getppid == 1 ) { // Load global data here // this is the parent process void* data = loadGlobalData( someFilePath ); setGlobalData( config, data ); } else { // this is the init of a child process // do nothing } I am looking for a place in apache2 in where I can put a similar function. • CheckboxList not setting Selected with Viewstate disabled

  I have a CheckboxList that seems to load and do everything right, except for when I do a postback, it will not have the Item.Selected property set. I have viewstate disabled for the entire page. I load it like so(inside Page_Load on every load): foreach (DataRow service in d.Tables[0].Rows) { cblServices.Items.Add(new ListItem((string)service["description"], service["id"].ToString())); } My markup is simple: <asp:CheckBoxList runat="server" ID="cblServices" Width="300px"></asp:CheckBoxList> and then, I use basically something like this(in a _Click serverside event for a button) foreach(ListItem item in cblServices.Items){ if(item.Selected){ MyLabel.Text+="selected: "+item.Value+item.Text; } } and MyLabel never has any text added to it. I can verify with the debugger that it does reach the _Click's foreach loop, but no item is ever selected. What could be the cause of this?

  I have been loading content with ajax and all works fine. Here is my code $(document).ready(function() { //Load a-z.php //Timestamp resolves IE caching issue var tsTimeStamp= new Date().getTime(); $.post('../../includes/categories/a-z.php', {action: "post", time: tsTimeStamp}, function(data){ $('#moviescontainer').html(data).slideDown('slow'); }); return true; }); My data inside a-z.php requires Javascript for it's content and when I load a-z.php onto my page the javascript doesn't work. I am quessing that I need to link the relevant files to a-z.php and then load it via ajax. Doesn't this kind of defeat the object of ajax?? That means that I will be loading the js files on the main page and then loading them again when I ajax a-z.php I hope I made some sense.

  Good day, I am learning Testing in Visual Studio C++ and I have several tutorials which I have followed. I am trying to load a test fixture. I have tried to put the test .cpp file in many different places but it will still not pick up on it when I click on "Run Tests" or "Run Tests without debugging" In the tutorials I found, they seemed to load into the Test Explorer automatically, but in mine is an icon with a X + (PROJECTNAME).EXE and when I hoover over it I get the process exited without registering with the agent... this is due to the model not containing any test fixtures... How can I load my tests into the Test Explorer...or register them with my project... I've tried right click and "Add Fixture...".... but that just starts a new test file and I have the same problem. Anybody know how I solve this issue?

Something like this: {{ form.myfield.0 }}} Or perhaps hanging it onto widget itself: {{ form.myfield.field.widget.0 }} What bugs me is that RadioFieldRenderer already implements __get_item__ to get just one RadioInput. The problem is that the renderer does not contain data, neither does the widget. And I'd really hate to mess with Field and BoundField. I need this to inject html before/after each radiobutton and I'd like it to be done in the template. From the code it would be easy. Any ideas are welcome.

  I have a custom tag, packaged into a library jar that is included in my web apps war file. • Lightbox: how to parse the lightbox dynamically loaded html content (AJAX)

  hi, I'm using a (modal) lightbox on a page of my website to display my nodes. I'm using some plugins such as an external jquery-plugin for tooltips and the drupal plugin jQuery Media (to load flash video player for some video file-fields). These plugins are loaded when the main page load and they parse the html content of the page. When I dynamically load the lightbox (and I use AJAX to update its content) the html inside the lightbox is not parse... so no tooltips, no videos. how can I solve this ? Should I trigger the plugins again from Lightbox callback function ? Or should I use something else instead of the lightbox ? Thanks

  I have a stylistic question about the choice of background thread implementation I should use on a windows form app. Currently I have a BackgroundWorker on a form that has an infinite (while(true)) loop. In this loop I use WaitHandle.WaitAny to keep the thread snoozing until something of interest happens. One of the event handles I wait on is a "stopthread" event so that I can break out of the loop. This event is signaled when from my overridden Form.Dispose(). I read somewhere that BackgroundWorker is really intended for operations that you dont want to tie up the UI with and have an finite end - like downloading a file, or processing a sequence of items. In this case the "end" is unknown and only when the window is closed. Therefore would it be more appropriate for me to use a background Thread instead of BackgroundWorker for this purpose?

• DateTime from Javascript post to Controller in ASP.NET results in null (01/01/0001)

  This is driving me crazy, similar to this. If I use a standard form and no javascript the controller correctly binds the datetime. However when I'm posting from a form it always binds as null: "MyObject.Name": "Test name", "MyObject.Date": "5/1/2001" I've tried a couple of variations, 5-1-2001, etc. but cannot seem to get it to take. I can confirm that it is being passed to the server as it shows up in the Request.Form string. My culture is Gregorian and I've set: Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = CultureInfo.InvariantCulture; In Application_BeginRequest(). What gives?

• spring web application context is not loaded from jar file in WEB-INF/lib when running tomcat in eclipse

  I am experimenting with spring, maven, and eclipse but stumbling on a weird issue. I am running Eclipse Helios SR1 with the STS (Spring tools suite) plugin which includes the Maven plugin also. What i want to achieve is a spring mvc webapp which uses an application context loaded from a local application context xml file, but also from other application contexts in jar files dependencies included in WEB-INF/lib. What i'd ultimately like to do is have my persistence layer separated in its own jar file but containing its own spring context files with persistence specific configuration (e.g a jpa entityManagerFactory for example). So to experiment with loading resources from jar dependencies, i created a simple maven project from eclipse, which defines an applicationContext.xml file in src/main/resources Inside, i define a bean <bean id="mybean" class="org.test.MyClass" /> and create the class in the org.test package I run mvn-install from eclipse, which generates me a jar file containing my class and the applicationContext.xml file: testproj.jar |_META-INF |_org |_test |_MyClass.class |_applicationContext.xml I then create a spring mvc project from the Spring template projects provided by STS. I have configured an instance of Tomcat 7.0.8 , and also an instance of springSource tc Server within eclipse. Deploying the newly created project on both servers works without problem. I then add my previous project as a maven dependency of the mvc project. the jar file is correctly added in the Maven Dependencies of the project. In the web.xml that is generated, i now want to load the applicationContext.xml from the jar file as well as the existing one generated for the project. Yet I've ran into a problem I can't figure out and if someone could provide any help, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm developing this application in C# that could upload an image from computer to user photoblog. For this I'm usig pixelpost platform for photoblogs that is written mainly in PHP. I've searched here and on other web pages, but the exmples provided there didn't work for me. I can see from the server log files that the script does not arrive on the Project page. I am new to webrat and quite new to ruby and I am now thoroughly confused. I have no idea why the response.body is gone. I have no idea where I am. I speculated that I had to wait for the page request, but all documentation says that webrat nicely waits till all redirects, pageloads, etc are finished. (At least I think I read that). Besides I find no method to wait for the page in the webrat API. Can someone give some tips on how to proceed with debugging this?

  Hello every one :) I wont to create a pdf from a form on my page, but the Problem is, I need it excactly like the page with form, all entires. So I have for example 2 Input Fields, 7 Radio, 2 Checkboxes, and as result i need a PDF with the same sructure, but if someone check the checkbox, it must be saved in pdf. I have tryed to save the html content of the page on submit, and save it first in html file, but the problem is, my selections woundn't be saved. The result must have the same as i would print my form. I hope someone can help. PS: I using PHP and jQuery

  Hello im a newbie at using Drupal, and have come across a block in my progress. I have been using CCK to add new content types to my forms. I was wondering if there was any way to add to the form that is generated so that i may contain the elements and also insert visual html code like head rules etc. I have dabbled with the hook_form_alter() and it does not seem to help me in my efforts. Ive been through adjusting tpl.php files and such and have made no progress. Please if there is any one there in the inter-webs who is knowledgeable on this matter your advice would be greatly appreciated. Here is just an example of what I would want to do within the form: 1. To do this I put a block above and below the div so I could add and in them respectively. • How to let parent control know that its child got focus?

  Hi there, imagine that I have a Form with 9 controls (TabbedStuffControl) in a 3x3 tile, and these controls contain TabControls containing another control (StuffControl) with ListBoxes and TextBoxes. I'd like to know a proper way to let TabbedStuffControl that its child has received a focus? e.g. user clicks into a textbox of StuffControl or drags something to listbox of StuffControl. Eventually the Form should know which TabbedStuffControl is active Do I need to hook up GotFocus event of TextBoxes and ListBoxes and TabControls, then dispatch another event to finally let Form know who got focus? I think that there should be a simpler way - that somehow TabbedStuffControl knows that its child got focus, so there would be only one place in code that I'll hook up. Thanks.

• What's a reliable and practical way to protect software with a user license ?

  I know software companies use licenses to protect their softwares, but I also know there are keygen programs to bypass them. I'm a Java developer, if I put my program online for sale, what's a reliable and practical way to protect it ? How about something like this, would it work ? <1> I use ProGuard to protect the source code. <2> Sign the executable Jar file. <3> Since my Java program only need to work on PC [I need to use JDIC in it], I wrap the final executable Jar into an .exe file which makes it harder to decompile. <4> When a user first downloads and runs my app, it checks for a Pass file on his PC. <5> If the Pass file doesn't exist, run the app in demo mode, exits in 5 minutes. <6> When demo exits a panel opens with a "Buy Now" button. This demo mode repeats forever unless step <7> happens. <7> If user clicks the "Buy Now" button, he fills out a detailed form [name, phone, email ...], presses a "Verify Info" button to save the form to a Pass file, leaving license Key # field empty in this newly generated Pass file. <8> Pressing "Verify Info" button will take him to a html form pre-filled with his info to verify what he is buying, also hidden in the form's input filed is a license Key number. He can now press a "Pay Now" button to goto Paypal to finish the process. <9> The hidden license Key # will be passed to Paypal as product Id info and emailed to me. <10> After I got the payment and Paypal email, I'll add the license Key # to a valid license Key list, and put it on my site, only I know the url. The list is updated hourly. <11> Few hours later when the user runs the app again, it can find the Pass file on his PC, but the license Key # value is empty, so it goes to the valid list url to see if its license Key # is on the list, if so, write the license Key # into the Pass file, and the next time it starts again, it will find the valid license Key # and start in purchased mode without exiting in 5 minutes. <12> If it can't find its license Key # on the list from my url, run in demo mode. <13> In order to prevent a user from copying and using another paid user's valid Pass file, the license Key # is unique to each PC [I'm trying to find how], so a valid Pass file only works on one PC. Only after a user has paid will Paypal email me the valid license Key # with his payment. <14> The Id checking goes like this : Use the CPU ID : "CPU_01-02-ABC" for example, encrypt it to the result ID : "XeR5TY67rgf", and compare it to the list on my url, if "XeR5TY67rgf" is not on my valid user list, run in demo mode. If it exists write "XeR5TY67rgf" into the Pass File license field. In order to get a unique license Key, can I use his PC's CPU Id ? Or something unique and useful [ relatively less likely to change ]. If so let's say this CPU ID is "CPU_01-02-ABC", I can encrypt it to something like "XeR5TY67rgf", and pass it to Paypal as product Id in the hidden html form field, then I'll get it from Paypal's email notification, and add it to the valid license Key # list on the url. So, even if a hacker knows it uses CPU Id, he can't write it into the Pass file field, because only encrypted Ids are valid Ids. And only my program knows how to generate the encrypted Ids. And even if another hacker knows the encrypted Id is hidden in the html form input field, as long as it's not on my url list, it's still invalid. Can anyone find any flaw in the above system ? Is it practical ? And most importantly how do I get hold of this unique ID that can represent a user's PC ? Frank
