  • USB flash drive showing empty but half of the capacity is in Used

    Not sure if I should post my question in superuser, but it looks like the most appropriate place among all StackExchange sites. I have a 16GB Kingston DataTraveler USB drive. When I tried to use it this morning, it showed up nothing in there but yet its details showed that half of the capacity was in used. I tried it with OS X, Ubuntu, and Windows 7 and the results were the same. I tried to create a new folder and it worked. Apparently, the drive is working but somehow not showing my previously stored data. Note that I was still using the drive last night and there wasn't any problems. Following @rob's suggestion, du -h gave me: 16K ./.Trashes 960K ./.Spotlight-V100/Store-V1/Stores/2620683B-A38B-42F4-A247-45CAF4826ADE 976K ./.Spotlight-V100/Store-V1/Stores 1008K ./.Spotlight-V100/Store-V1 1.0M ./.Spotlight-V100 1.1M And, df -h gave me: /dev/sdb1 15G 7.9G 7.1G 53% /media/KINGSTON Confirming what I reported. Anyone got a clue/answer to this issue? Thanks.

  • Can't click allow button in flash on firefox

    I have a webapp embedding some flash content in an iframe. The flash part is requesting access to the webcam. On firefox/mac os, user's can't click the allow button. This only happens when the page embedding the swf file is loaded in the iframe, it works fine when laded separately. Has anyone else faced a similar problem? D you know any workarounds? Thanks, Alex

  • determine if javascript blur/focusout event is from selecting flash or leaving browser

    In IE when I select flash, document.onfocusout is fired. When this event is fired, I would like to distinguish between selecting flash and leaving the browser. When I handle the callback, document.activeElement is the previous html element with focus (what I just left), so this is not helpful for solving this problem. Clearly there has been a change in focus to warrant calling the blur method -- is this information available somewhere? Or is there a better way to do this?

    Hi everybody, I don't know if it's a classic safari 4 bug, but apparently many people cannot display correctly a non-flash content (div, image, etc.) over a flash animation. I tried everything: The wmode (switching from "opaque" to "transparent"), the z-index and many other div "cheats". Did anyone know if there is a safari 4 patch/trick/script to fix this problem?     I understand Flash CS5 isn't the best way to make an app, but I'd really like to test out the apps I've made with it on my iPhone. Has anyone come up with a way to modify Flash CS5 so it doesn't require a Developer Certificate or Provisioning Profile (like the way you would modify Xcode so you can compile apps without paying $99 for the developer program)?     Just notice that after updating to Safari 5 (mac) all the flash applications that respond to resize events got sluggish. try: http://www.tutorio.com/media/flash/liquid-demo.html this works great with firefox 3.6.3, Chrome can deal with it fine, although not so fast as Firefox, but new Safari gives a awful experience, distorting all content if you do fast resizing. Any ideas why is this happening / and how can I get a better performance with safari browsers?

    I have an 8GB Kingston compact Flash, and when I insert it into my mac it says that card is unredable and ask me for initialization. If i open Utilty Disk it show a card of 2,2 TB Generic Comact Flash, if I try to initialize that it give me error: POSIX reports: impossible to allocate memory. How i can format that ? There's a way with fdisk or smt to get this card work ? Thanks

    I am currently using Wowza Media server for recording videos from webcam using Flash. However servers like Wowza, Red5 & Flash Media Server seem to be overkill for merely this task.
