Does anyone found a firefox extension that can monitor for a certain text on a page, and then redirect it to other predetermined page.
I'm still searching for it, but still no clues.
Hello,
In the beginning Google Chrome seemed fine but recently its been crashing too many times. I want to move back to Firefox.
I really love the way Google Chrome syncs bookmarks to 'Google Docs'. Is there any extension which gives this functionality in firefox?
To view specific cookies in Chrome, currently I have to:
Go to preferences
Click Under the Hood tab
Click Content Settings... button
Click Cookies tab (if it's not already active)
Click Show cookies and other site data... button
If I want to narrow this down to a specific domain, I have to type it in, too.
Compare this to Firefox:
View Page Info
Click Security tab
Click View Cookies
The domain for the page I'm currently on is already used as a filter, too.
My question:
Is there an easier way in Chrome? I've done some searching for an extension but have come up with nothing.
Any help is appreciated :)
I did some research on Google but I couldn't find any HTML5 browser for Windows Mobile 6. The main resource I'm looking for in HTML5 is WebDatabase and/or localStorage.
With a little research I found Iris (http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-iris-browser.html), a Webkit based browser with some HTML5 features, but localStorage and Web Database doesn't work on it.
Does anyone know any browser with storage capability for Windows Mobile 6?

Strange problem. Opened FF 3.6.3 after a re-boot and my last opened tabs appeared but none of the page or menu elements would respond to a click. No error messages...just locked up. Started FF with a different profile and it works normally.
Next i used FEBE to restore a backup of my working profile and, after the restore, it's doing the same thing - locked out.
No newly installed plugins but since a brand new profile works while a restored one doesn't it kinda points to a problematic plug-in. Is there any way to start FF with all plugins disabled?
thx
Hi, I'm wondering is there an addon that lets you search (using default search bar preferably) the website in the current tab in Google with the "site:" keyword? This way I don't have to write the keyword and the URL every time I want to search a website in Google.
Thanks.
Well, i've been using sxipper for some time now, but recently came across lastpass. I can't tell which one is more secure or has a better functionality, sxipper however seems easier to use.
was wondering if anyone knew how to disable the add-on update dialogue box that appears after
everytime an extension is updated in firefox?
i've googled and looked for an about:config setting but could not find any related one.
What are the different Firefox extensions that can start a search with the selected text?
Firefox has an inbuilt feature to search using the currently selected engine.
Select any text
Right click the selection
Search Google for ...
I'm looking for something that will let me choose which search engine I want to search with, from my current list of installed search engines.
My Firefox upgraded itself automatically to version 3.6, and I found that IE tab is broken there. Apparently IE tab is known to be broken in this version.
Are there any known workarounds such as these?
a different plugin with the same functionality
a way to tell FF to behave in some legacy or compatibility mode for certain plugins
a new version of IE tab
In the meanwhile I'm glad that Chrome's current release supports plugins, and IE tab works there.
Is there any Firefox addon to convert a bit of selected text (in text fields), to "UPPER CASE", "lower case", "Proper Case", and "Sentence case"?
This is useful when writing email.
Before using Vimperator, I used Xmarks for organizing and synchronizing bookmarks between computers. Now I installed Vimperator and I can only bookmark a page from command mode with :bmark.
How can I open Organize Bookmarks with Vimperator?
Besides disabling Vimperator and choosing it from the menu what else can I do? Before, I had CTRL + SHIFT + b to open the organizer. Now, in Vimperator, this shortcut doesn't work anymore, even after temporarily disabling Vimperator with CTRL + z.
EDIT
After setting the main menu visible (with :set go+=m thanks to Hamish Downer), I saw the shortcut for opening the organize bookmarks dialog (CTRL + SHIFT + o). I recently switched to Ubuntu Linux and in this version of Firefox some keyboard shortcuts are different then in Windows (including the shortcut for opening organize bookmarks). Sorry for my ignorance.
I'm a webdeveloper and using firefox with the bookmarks toolbar, the webdeveloper toolbar and the google toolbar. Are there shortcuts in firefox 3.5 to hide and show these toolbars.
If not, may be an add on wich works in 3.5 to create a small script to hide these toolbars, bind with a shortcut?
I found keyconfig addon but won't work in 3.5. I also found this script what sounds great. Anyone knows how to get it working?
http://superuser.com/questions/77206/shortcut-key-for-bookmar-toolbar-in-firefox
var toolbar = document.getElementById("PersonalToolbar");
toolbar.collapsed = !toolbar.collapsed;
document.persist(toolbar.id, "collapsed");
Do you know of any good alternative for the firefox extension download them all.
Because when I try to download the second time(after the first has been downloaded) in megaupload. There would be a temporary error, which is not really temporary. Because it will last until you clean the cache/history.
Useful as it was when I was running Tiger, the number of broken links and general lack of information on what's compatible with version 4.0+, I've decided it's time to give up on PimpMySafari.com and look elsewhere. Can anyone recommend a similar site that actually keeps its content up-to-date?
What is the best way to block annoying ads but allow useful ads on Firefox and Explorer (8), basically I would like to:
block animated flash ads
block animated silverlight ads
block animated gif ads
allow subtle google ads and ads on e.g. StackOverflow which are graphics but often useful information
allow flash in general
allow silverlight in general
allow animated gif in general
What is the best way to strike this balance?
Hi i'm building a BrowserHelperObject in c++ for Internet Explorer 8.
It is a friendly add-on that gives you fonctionalities in a sidebar. The thing is that when you download the add-on executable from the web, AVG (AntiVirusGuard) detects the executable file as a malware. I did a lot of research and i can't find a way to not being seen as a bad malware. I know that BrowserHelperObject are often seen as malware, but mine is just a good and friendly add-on.
Does anyone as info on how antivirus detection works and what can i do to prevent being seen as a malware. What has to be done to the BHO to pass avg detection ? Thank you.
Is there an add-on around that allows me to log into my twitter AND identi.ca account simulateously?
I'm tired of having IdentiFox and Echofon (formerly Twitterfox) running at the same time.
Hi,
this is simple - I have a page opened all the time in FF, and don't want others passing by to see immediately the page. Is there a plugin that would allow to "dim" the page, unless you over it with a mouse or set focus on window? The idea is similar to laptops screen dimming.
Thanks.
Yes, I know there is already a few similar questions.
Is there an alternative to RoboForm (which for some reason makes my FF very slow, because of some other extensions) which has the same way of working. What I mean, you click on ... and it opens a new tab with the page in question, and logs on to it (so no databases, and such ...). One other advantage would be if it kept passwords locally.
Basically, I'm looking for RoboForm other than RoboForm.
Anyone knows of any ?
I'm using IE8 on Windows 7. I'm trying to delete an add-on from my "Manage Add-ons" panel. But when I double click the add-on I'd like to delete, the "Remove" button is grayed out. Only the disable option is available.
I've gone to the path it points to and deleted that folder. I've also searched the registry to delete keys and went to Control Panel to uninstall the related installation package.
Any ideas?
