• softkeyboard in landscape mode does not pop up in android emulator

  In android emulator, I am in landscape mode and double click the text edit panel. the softkeyboard does not show up. However, it works in portrait mode. I have check some of posts on line. They said because of hardkeyboard is available in landscape mode. If that so, how can i disable the hardkeyboard. Or is there any setting reason for this problem?

"A project with an output type of class librart cannot be started directly" I'm familiar with desktop programs but I'm new to working with ASP.NET, the code is easy enough to understand but I can't get my head around how to successfully debug it.   I want to run multiple Google Chrome application windows logged into the same web site (Twitter.com, say), each with different credentials. Is this possible? If so, how? My initial testing shows that multiple Chrome app windows are not sufficiently isolated to do this. Logging into the second account logs me into the second account in both windows, suggesting that they are sharing information just as two Chrome tabs might.

• Intel hybrid graphics stuck in power save mode

  I have an Asus UL30V with Intel hybrid graphics. When I bought it it used to switch to turn of the better graphics card to save power and run on a more power effecient one. When I connected the laptop to a power source again I could go to the intel graphics icon on the task bar and click on "switch to enhanced performance mode" or something similar. But like 2-3 months ago it suddenly vanished. I cannot switch modes anymore, it's gotten stuck in power save mode. I can change the windows power setting but that doesn't enable the better graphics card :( What should I do? I've tried restarting the computer and that does not work. I really hope I don't have to reinstall the drivers! It seems like other people have had the same issue: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/p/19422695/19994601.aspx , he hasn't even got the same computer as me. I have windows 7 Home Premium x64 Any ideas?

But when I rotate my iphone then it is perfectly rotating in landscape mode. But I want to stop this rotation. If I rotate my iphone in landscape mode it's view should be in portrait mode.   I am using Visual Studio to compile some C++ Code. When I compile my program in Debug mode it works perfectly, but when I try compiling it in Release mode, VS halts when Generating Code (ie: took 20 mins and still didn't finish). After I forced VS to stop the build process, the executable generated was huge 2MB while it should be about 304KB. Please can you help figure this out.   I like using auto-fill-mode for hard line wrapping. However, when I'm making a big tabular in a .tex file, I like using align-current to have the table look somewhat like it would when printed. The difficulty is that if I have a table that is longer than the line width, auto-fill-mode breaks it, and then align-current can't put things to rights and gets confused.   Hello! This isn't a duplicate of http://stackoverflow.com/questions/531502/vc-resources-in-a-static-library because it didn't help :) I have a static library with TWO .rc files in it's project. When I build my project using the Debug configuration, I retrieve the following error (MSVS2008): fatal error LNK1241: resource file res_yyy.res already specified Note, that this happens only in Debug and Release library builds without any troubles. The command line for Resources page in project configuration looks the same for every build: /fo"...(Path here)/Debug/project_name.res" /fo"...(Path here)/Release/project_name.res" and I can't understand what's the trouble. Any ideas? UPDATE I don't know why this happens, but when I turn "Use Link-Time Code Generation" option on the problem goes away. Could somebody explain why does this happen? I feel like MS-compiler is doing something really strange here. Thanks.

  I've setup Virtual PC and XP Mode on my Windows 7 Pro. Using Apache 2.0.52 I have no problems having my website up and running on the Windows 7 machine. But Under VPC/XP Mode the best I can do is Localhost mode. What do I need to do to enable http connections? I need the XP Mode as besides the website I also run a Web BBS and a Dos based (via telnet) BBS. Some of the apps in the Dos BBS just won't work under 64 bit, no matter what setting (capability) are used. Thanks in advance...

I have tested this in a separate project, and noticed that they do work when using the integrated Visual Studio Developer server (Cassini) but they do not work when using IIS Web Server.   Hi, me again :) I am very curious in messing up with HW. But my top level "messing" so far was linked or inline assembler in C program. If my understanding of CPU and ring mode is right, I cannot directly from user mode app access some low level CPU features, like disabling interrupts, or changing protected mode segments, so I must use system calls to do everything I want. But, if I am right, drivers can run in ring mode 0. I actually don´t know much about drivers, but this is what I ask for. I just want to know, is learning how to write your own drivers and than call them the way I should go, to do what I wrote? I know I could write whole new OS (at least to some point), but what I exactly want to do is acessing some low level features of HW from standart windows application. So, is driver the way to go?

  Sorry about the title, dont' really know what it should be. If I open a doc in read only mode I'm able to press save and then it opens up a save as box and the default directory is the directory on the sharepoint server and if you press save you save it to the server. This actually makes the whole process not really "read only" mode since I could actually update the document. Is there a way to prevent this from happening so that if someone chooses read only there is no way possible to updload any changes back to the sharepoint site? Also, it has been suggested as a solution to get rid of the edit/read only option so that people have to check out the document. Is there a way to remove the edit/read only option on documents?

The compilation debug is set to true in the web.config but I get different answers from everyone i ask, does debug set to true cause each aspx to compile into random areas of ram thus fragmenting that ram and eventually causing out of memory problems?

  We have a strange problem in our team. When a developer is using Eclipse in Debug mode, MS SQL Server 2005 blocks other developers from accessing a stored procedure. Debug session typically involves opening Hibernate session to persist an entity which could be accessing a stored procedure used for Primary key generation. Debugging is done in business logic code and rarely in JDBC stored procedure call. Is there any way to configure MS SQL server or the stored procedure so that other developers are not blocked?

There is a .NET Framework 2.0 application compiled in the Debug mode with the parameter jitDebugging set to true in app.config <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" /> After any crash we get the dialog box allowing us to send a report or to debug the program. When we choose to debug and select proper VS, the IDE starts but with the announcement: No symbols are loaded for any call stack frame. The source code cannot be displayed. and Disassembly cannot be displayed in run mode. Is there any possiblity to see the code or the spot where the crash has occured?
