  • windows 2003 server : can't find a primary authoritative dns server for the name srv.domain1.local [

    I originally tried to rejoin a computer to a network which led to a "cannot find domain" error. The username/password box don't even come up. some tests i ran: I can ping the server, however I can't ping the domain name domain1.local. nslookup can't find the domain either. It looks to the isp's dns instead of my own to resolve the local machines. So i go to the dns and run netdiag.exe and gives me this error.     Is there an option to run a mysql lookup in the pipe driver of exim? So I do not see the mistake.

My question is has anyone tried VLC streaming over LAN with as many as 200 clients? What were the precautions to be taken before going for the actual showdown? What kind of transport stream is better for a smoother live streaming? Are any test bench I can use to convince my superiors?

  • Lync 2010, Kamailio, & Trixbox 2.6.23 (Asterisk 1.4)

    I'm having an issue trying to connect Lync 2010 phone calls with our trixbox PBX. I've gotten to the point where Kamailio seems to be functioning properly and acting as a bridge between TCP traffic (from Lync) & UDP traffic (to the trixbox, as Asterisk 1.4 does not support SIP over TCP). I've been searching but can not find a way. under /etc/exim.conf I have #todd host's smtp_banner = "${primary_hostname} ESMTP Exim ${version_number} \ \#${compile_number} ${tod_full} \n\ We do not authorize the use of this system to transport unsolicited, \n\ and/or bulk e-mail." do i make that one line?

I have checked the version of exchange an its 8.3.6 I looked on the other server in case I had it mixed up, but its not here either. Can anyone shed some light ?

    Is there any problem or pitfall including ISA server into domain after ISA was installed and configured and worked for a while? All the rules at the moment are based upon IP addresses, All Users. Addendum 1 ISA is an edge firewall, so it is connected to one Internal network (this is where domain is) and to the Internet provider (External Network). Addendum 2 I'm absolutely sure ISA should be a member of the domain.

  • Disable Charm bar's Touchpad gesture shortcut

Everytime I slide my finger from the right edge of the touchpad (where the slider is) toward the center (mostly accidentally), the charmbar pops up and stays on the screen until I manually click on some random spots on the screen. There's no such option in the Synaptics properties: .. nor is there any in the mouse option. Is there a way to turn this shortcut off?

    I have a Wacom Intuos 3 pen tablet. I bought it so I can naturally draw directly into the computer. Working in Photoshop, though, I cannot seem to find the brush settings that mostly resemble drawing with a regular pencil (opacity, edge etc...). Can anybody direct me towards a resource or downloadable brush that will have settings and shape similar to that of a regular, moderately soft pencil? Thanks!

It fails (saying something about enabling GRE). (after authenticating, hangs for a while, than give the error message.) Using the same computer with direct internet access (not behind the firewalls) works fine and I get connected. how do I setup the safe office to enable me to use vpn (pptp) out connections.

    I have three switches I'd like to configure in a loop - a Cisco stack (3750s) and two HP 2900 series. Each is connected to the next with a 10 gig backplane of one form or another. How do I configure the spanning tree on these systems to make this function correctly? From the documents I've looked at it looks like I need to set both sets of hardware to use MST mode but I'm not sure past that point. The trunking, etc is all set up as needed.
