    I need an Access Report to use a CSV-File as a RecordSource. I have searched and tried many things, yet, I've found no way to achieve this. A temporary table in some other database is not an option. I've been trying to use a DAO RecordSet, but while I can read the RecordSet just fine I cannot set it as the report's RecordSet and I cannot use its Name as the RecordSource Property as both approaches lead to an error. Please help me find a way!

    Is there any function in pandas that can directly read a rotated csv file? To be specific, the header information in the first col instead of the first row. For example: A 1 2 B 3 5 C 6 7 and I would like the final DataFrame this way A B C 1 3 5 2 5 7 Of corse we can get around this problem using some data wangling techniques like transpose and slicing. I am wondering there should be a quick way in API but I could not find it.

    I have a large table (300 million lines) that I would like to dump to a csv - I need to do some processing that cannot be done with SQL. Right now I am using Squirrel as a client, and it does not apparently deal very well with large datasets - at least as far as I can tell from my own (limited) experience. If I run the query on the actual host, will it use less memory? Thanks for any help.

  • MySQL upload CSV file as new table

    I frequently upload CSV files to a MySQL db. It is very convenient to use LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE to upload the data, but I can't use this to create the table itself. As of now, the best method I have is to use PHP to get the field titles from the first row of the file and then put together a CREATE table query. Is there a more convenient way to do this?

  • Filter a CSV list in XSLT

    Hello SO; I'm trying to convert xml elements whose content is a csv list of identifiers, the exact form doesn't matter. I want to exclude every item that contains the character "/". The best I've come up with is translate(./someElement, ",*/*", "") but this has at least two problems; I'm pretty sure that xsl doesn't accept wildcards, and "," is an illegal character in xpaths. Is there a straightforward way to do this sort of thing?

    Our company uses pic database and wIntegrate 4.02 to interface with. How would I go about automating the .wis files for importing and exporting through wIntegrate? Is there some type of macro, software solution or built in routine I can use? At the moment I manually login to pic using wIntegrate and goto run - querybuilder and select the desired .wis script for importing and exporting data and select ok to run. This is not a solution, it needs to be automated. Anyone? Is there some type of point a click freeware recording software? I hate to do a hack job like that but I'm running out of ideas and no one seems to have worked with this software before...

  • SQL 2000 Backup/Export Process - Can't find SQL 2000 Enterprise Manager, Can't use Mgmt Studio Expre

    I need to make a backup of a client's SQL 2000 database, however there are a few issues preventing me from doing so using the traditional methods. I've tried using SQL Management Studio Express, but the host doesn't give sufficient privileges to create a backup and I'm getting some strange error messages. I've also tried doing the "Generate Scripts" to recreate the schema, then using the DTS Wizard to migrate the data, but the IDs set up with the identity specification property are not consistent with the live database once copied over. This results in some foreign key breakage... If I remember correctly, I was able to use Microsoft SQL 2000 Enterprise Manager to perform the task before, but I can't find this anywhere... it seems Microsoft has pulled most SQL Server 2000 stuff from their site. Does anyone know where I can find a copy of Enterprise Manager (or a trial of SQL Server 2000, which I believe comes with the component)? Or conversely, does anyone know of any other tools (preferably non-commercial) that are capable of mirroring remote SQL Server 2000 DBs? Thanks!

    I'm trying to use the pam_exec.so PAM module to execute a script which needs to know the username/password coming from the application (OpenVPN in this case). I have a script that executes printenv >>afile, but I don't see all the environment variables that the man pages states that pam_exec.so exports (namely PAM_USER I think), I only see the following: PAM_SERVICE=openvpn PAM_TYPE=auth PWD=/usr/local/openvpn/bin SHLVL=1 A__z="*SHLVL I do successfully pick up the password off of STDIN and output it with this same script. But for the life of me I can't get the username. Any thoughts on what I should try next?

    I have a bunch of avi's I am converting to m4v, and I can do this in QuickTime by opening the video and then go 'Save As', select a folder, select the type (iPhone, Movie, etc), blah blah blah. But I have around 100 videos I want to do this with. Command line options? Or batch processing options in the GUI? Enlighten me, please. This is QuickTime X on Snow Leopard.

  • PhpMyAdmin import/export - strange character encoding issues.

    Hello, I'm migrating a site to a new host, and there are a couple of databases on there. There's no SSH access so I'm stuck with phpmyadmin. The issue is that certain characters (namely just whitespace) seems to being corrupt on the new site (same html, and apache doesn't seem to be messing with any encodings - you can see the strange characters have changed when I use less on my linux machine after downloading a table dump from both servers.) The issue isn't as bad if I import into the new database as utf-8 - whitespace characters only have one funny A type symbol instead of two. I've been trying various combinations of character encoding etc to no avail. Exporting from: phpMyAdmin 2.6.2 MySQL 4.1.20 MySQL connection collation: utf8_general_ci MySQL charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8) Collation on tables and their fields is: latin1_swedish_ci Importing to: phpMyAdmin - 2.11.9.2 MySQL client version: 5.0.45 MySQL charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8) MySQL connection collation: utf8_general_ci The import sql has this kind of thing in it: ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 AUTO_INCREMENT=192 ; I get the impression this is actually a bug or something with mysqldump as nothing seems to work.. does anyone have any insight into this?     Hi everyone! I tried to export an Excel file into PDF, but it looks horrible. I need at least that one row form Excel to be saved into a one row in PDF. I know that it is not so simple, because Excel does no have any page size. At least, they could make some estimations. Can anyone recommend me how to save in MS Office an excel file into PDF, to have a normal look? Thanks in Advance!

  • Printing the second page from a Calc sheet

    I've created a simple invoice document in LibreOffice Calc and it consists of 2 pages. I have defined the print range for my document as: $A$1:$D$33,$D$34:$D$35 My first page holds the actual invoice information the second page is a single merged cell holding terms and conditions text (wrapped to the cell width). The second page is defined by a row break. When I export the sheet as a PDF the first page comes out great but the second page with the terms text is all wrong. On the left hand side I see a portion of text (looks like a single column) and when I select the text inside the PDF I can see it go of the page somewhere to the left. I get the same result in a print preview. I'm at a complete loss on how to approach this problem and any insight is much appreciated.

    I'm want to develop a macro where in my excel worksheet I type a date in a specific cell, and the macro will go into a folder containing text files. A database you could say. I want it to find the corresponding file name which is written as a date, put the data through a delimeter, and paste into the cells directly below where I orginally put the date. I'm very new with Macro's so if you must answer try to be a little more simple than you might usually be. Thanks In Advance if anyone can Help!! Update The folder will always be in the same place and the text files will all be formatted DD_MM_YYYY.   • Best way to export an icon from photoshop?

    Hi, I'm writing a program to notify me of new email. It's mostly complete, I'm just working on the notifyicon code now. It's supposed to display the usual application icon with a box containing the count of unread emails inside it. I created icons for this in photoshop, exported them as 16x16 transparent PNGs, then converted them into windows ico files using ConvertIcon.com. Given that the image was 16x16 and the WinXP system tray uses 16x16 icons, I would assume the images would work. HOWEVER, when I start the application and get an email, the icon's all blurry: http://cyndle.com/bPJ7
