    hey i have made an application for BlackBerry Curve 8300 where i use setTitle() i have put in an image as background for setTitle() It works perfectly fine on curve simulator but when i deploy this app on bold(device and simulator both) for testing the setTitle() shows black background. i dont have curve device to test n check can any body suggest what could be the problem

    I am looking for a free static checker for C99 code (including GCC extensions) with the ability to explicitly say "these preprocessor macros are always defined." I need that last part because I am compiling embedded code for a single target processor. The compiler (Microchip's C32, GCC based) sets a macro based on the selected processor, which is then used in the PIC32 header files to select a processor-specific header file to include. cppcheck therefore fails because it detects the 30 different #ifdefs used to select one of the many possible PIC32 processors, tries to analyse all possible combinations of these plus all other #defines, and fails. For example, if splint could process C99 code, I would use splint -D__PIC32_FEATURE_SET__=460 -D__32MX460F512L__ \ -D__LANGUAGE_C__ -I/path/to/my/includes source.c

    I found a good question for measuring function performance, and the answers recommend to use Stopwatch as follows Stopwatch sw = new Stopwatch(); sw.Start(); //DoWork sw.Stop(); //take sw.Elapsed But is this valid if you are running under multi processors machine? the thread can be switched to another processor, can it? Also the same thing should be in Enviroment.TickCount. If the answer is yes should I wrap my code inside BeginThreadAffinity as follows Thread.BeginThreadAffinity(); Stopwatch sw = new Stopwatch(); sw.Start(); //DoWork sw.Stop(); //take sw.Elapsed Thread.EndThreadAffinity(); P.S The switching can occur over the thread level not only the processor level, for example if the function is running in another thread so the system can switch it to another processor, if that happens, will the Stopwatch be valid after this switching? I am not using Stopwatch for perfromance measurement only but also to simulate timer function using Thread.Sleep (to prevent call overlapping)

  • SQL Server Process Queue Race Condition

    I have an order queue that is accessed by multiple order processors through a stored procedure. Each processor passes in a unique ID which is used to lock the next 20 orders for its own use. The stored procedure then returns these records to the order processor to be acted upon. There are cases where multiple processors are able to retrieve the same 'OrderTable' record at which point they try to simultaneously operate on it. This ultimately results in errors being thrown later in the process. My next course of action is to allow each processor grab all available orders and just round robin the processors but I was hoping to simply make this section of code thread safe and allow the processors to grab records whenever they like. So Explicitly - Any idea why I am experiencing this race condition and how I can solve the problem. So, In my code somewhere I have add System.out.println("Print"); statements, but by debugging or running app to simulator, I couldn't find any log statements printed to eclipse console.   • Converting a year from 4 digit to 2 digit and back again in C#

    My credit card processor requires I send a two-digit year from the credit card expiration date. Here is how I a currently processing: I put a DropDownList of the 4-digit year on the page. I validate the expiration date in a DateTime field to be sure that the expiration date being passed to the CC processor isn't expired. I send a two-digit year to the CC processor (as required). I do this via a substring of the value from the year DDL. Is there a method out there to convert a four-digit year to a two-digit year. I am not seeing anything on the DateTime object. Or should I just keep processing it as I am?

    Hi. I'm trying to use a script to control my power options since XP doesn't give you an intuitive way to change CPU Frequency options. Here's my script so far: meh = `cmd.exe /C POWERCFG.EXE /QUERY Portable/Laptop` puts "" puts meh case input when 1 then system('cmd.exe /C POWERCFG.EXE /CHANGE Portable/Laptop /processor-throttle-ac NONE') when 2 then system('cmd.exe /C POWERCFG.EXE /CHANGE Portable/Laptop /processor-throttle-ac ADAPTIVE') when 3 then `cmd.exe /C POWERCFG.EXE /CHANGE Portable/Laptop /processor-throttle-ac CONSTANT` end The problem is that the changes simply don't take place. If I run the same commands directly into a cmd.exe prompt, they work. It's very strange, but nothing works after the initial powercfg query. I feel like I'm missing something incredibly obvious. How can I get the above script to run correctly?

    hii i have set up virtual host in apache and and added relevent information in windows host file. it works fine for desktop browsers but i am not able to access this from android simulator's browser. as a example a i created a virtual host "testweb" i added this information in widows hosts file also so in desktop browser it works fine with the url http://testweb/ but in android simulator browser it displays error tht page has been moved .... so plz give me solution what i shud do to work it and where i am getting wrong...plz help me

    I am just putting the finishing touches to an iPhone app that I have written, signed up to the developer program and installed Xcode 3.2.2 (1650) My question is which version of the SDK should I be using to build my application? I was thinking I should be using the latest 3.2 but when I select that I can only access the iPad simulator ... Should I be using 3.1.3 which runs the iPhone simulator. GetId is a String not int method that is not mistake. Test fails : unexpected invocation of person.getId() I'm using jMock any help would be appreciated. As I understood when I call this get method to execute it properly I need to mock person.getId() , and I've been sniping around in circles for a while now any help would be appreciated.

    I need to import jpeg images into a WP7/XNA app with associated metadata. The program which manages these images exports to an XML file with an encoded byte[] of the jpg files. I've written a custom importer/processor which successfully imports the reserialized objects into my XNA project. But it is not happen.   • Function 'didFinishLaunchingWithOptions' getting invoked inappropriately

    I connected my IOS device to a MAC processor and installed/initialized my app running in xcode or dragged it from itunes folder. Now i physically disconnected my device from the processor and through wifi enabled in the device, sent notifications/messages through APNS to the device. I was able to successfully receive notifications in the device. Now after some time, i reconnected the device to the processor, which lead to a problem of the app launching again and calling 'didFinishLaunchingWithOptions' method again, which is not desirable as the launch/initialization should happen only once. This behaviour is random ie. every time when i disconnect/reconnect, it is not happening, only sometimes. Why is this happening. What could be the reason for this random behaviour. Any help will be appreciated.Thanks
