    I want to sort array A based on values in Array B actually in Array A I have topics like keyboard Laptop Desktop mouse and in Array B i have dates associated with each value in Array A how i can achieve this....I was thinking of using multi array but i m not sure if there is any default method of sorting multi array ...or if there is any other method to achieve this?

    I'm a little bit confused about the difference between the two. An example of the Calendar API is supposedly located here: http://samples.google-api-java-client.googlecode.com/hg/calendar-android-sample/instructions.html, but the author himself suggests using the Calendar Provider API, details about which are here: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/providers/calendar-provider.html. Can someone explain to me the difference between the two, and which would be better for me to use for a simple calendar app?

    I'm trying to bind a jar library (jCIFS) on MFA, but i'm stuck on some errors, like this one: 'Jcifs.Util.MD4' does not implement inherited abstract member 'Java.Security.MessageDigestSpi.EngineDigest() After some research, i found some topics about this, telling to edit the metadata to change the permissions of the classes, like this: <attr path="/api/package[@name='java.security']/class[@name='MessageDigestSpi']/method[@name='engineDigest']" name="visibility">public</attr> But the error didn't change, and a still won't get what this error means.   • Why do we have reinterpret_cast in C++ when two chained static_cast can do it's job?

    Say I want to cast A* to char* and vice-versa, we have two choices (I mean, many of us think we've two choices, because both seems to work! Hence the confusion!): struct A { int age; char name[128]; }; A a; char *buffer = static_cast<char*>(static_cast<void*>(&a)); //choice 1 char *buffer = reinterpret_cast<char*>(&a); //choice 2 Both work fine. //convert back A *pA = static_cast<A*>(static_cast<void*>(buffer)); //choice 1 A *pA = reinterpret_cast<A*>(buffer); //choice 2 Even this works fine! So why do we have reinterpret_cast in C++ when two chained static_cast can do it's job? Some of you might think this topic is a duplicate of the previous topics such as listed at the bottom of this post, but it's not. Those topics discuss only theoretically, but none of them gives even a single example demonstrating why reintepret_cast is really needed, and two static_cast would surely fail. I agree, one static_cast would fail. But how about two? If the syntax of two chained static_cast looks cumbersome, then we can write a function template to make it more programmer-friendly: template<class To, class From> To any_cast(From v) { return static_cast<To>(static_cast<void*>(v)); } And then we can use this, as: char *buffer = any_cast<char*>(&a); //choice 1 char *buffer = reinterpret_cast<char*>(&a); //choice 2 //convert back A *pA = any_cast<A*>(buffer); //choice 1 A *pA = reinterpret_cast<A*>(buffer); //choice 2 Also, see this situation where any_cast can be useful: Proper casting for fstream read and write member functions. So my question basically is, Why do we have reinterpret_cast in C++? Please show me even a single example where two chained static_cast would surely fail to do the same job?     im using a UIWebView to show html content in my app, the app contains two arrows to navigate between topics just like a RSS reader app, but when the user hits up or down arrow, the next topic doesn't show up until the data come back and the user still able to interact with the UI which is a bit confusing, My question: how to block the UI when user moves to the next/back topic ? in other words how to make loadHTMLString:baseURL: works as a synchronous calling ? thanks !

    Hi, Is there a way to get the length of a collection from this? ParallelQuery<string> Lines = File.ReadAllLines("Topics.txt").AsParallel<string>(); This has no length property. There is a count method but it takes a Func. If I don't pass a Func paremeter, I could get all the properties in the collection, but how could I not pass one in? Thanks
