• Range validation not working properly in MVC3

  I am generating data validation javascript in an Asp.Net MVC 3 application with the following code [DisplayName("Latitude Degrees")] [Range(0, 90, ErrorMessage = "Latitude degrees must be between {1} and {2}")] public Int32? LatitudeDegrees { get; set; } on a view model. When it was MVC2 this worked just fine, if I entered a value outside of 0-90 in the textbox I got the validation warnings. Since I moved the application to MVC 3, whenever I put any value into the texbox, legal or illegal I get the validation error appear next to it. I have EnableClientValidation set to true and UseUnobtrusiveJavascript is off (nothing in web.config or the views to turn it on).

• Removing the email validation requirement - Login Toboggan

  I'm building a premium membership site where a visitor can purchase a role and gain access to the privileged content using ubercart. I've got all that working fine, but the last tiny snag that my client wants to remove is to remove the validation email requirement that's fired when someone signs up on the site in Login Toboggan (6.1.9). I've got nothing set that is forcing this extra step and I've come to believe that this may be a feature in Drupal (acquia distro 6.22) core for any user that registers. I was hoping that this module (login toboggan) would eliminate that step but I've not as of yet been able to do so. I can allow the newly registered user access by setting that in the module, but the notification and validation email requirement still remains. Can anyone recommend a way around this? I just want them to be able to come to the site purchase their membership without any validation/confirmation email. Is this possible? Thanks - Rob

I want to assign validation group to asp.Button dynamically on client side using javascript on the base of item selected in drop down list. Here is JavaScript which I am using, but it is not working.   Hi. I'm testing a Swing GUI application using the UISpec4J testing framework. I'm testing validation code on a JTextField, but the framework does not support focus-change events, as it runs the application in a headless fashion. The text field has a DocumentEvent attached to it that activates the validation code. I'm trying to figure out how to dispatch the document event manually to activate the validation code. Trying to dispatch focus or mouse events manually haven't been working for me. Thanks for any help!

  I have a Page with a Wizard component. The user can navigate the panels of the wizard by using the next and previous buttons which I have performing full (non-ajax) form submissions so that the app is back-button friendly. When the next button is clicked, I would like to attempt ajax form validation (if javascript is enabled). I tried doing: nextButton.add( new AjaxFormValidatingBehavior( form, "onsubmit") ); to add such validation. The behaviour works - however, when validation errors occur the browser still submits the entire form. What is the Wicket way to prevent the browser from submitting the form in this case?

  I have a Flex component with a form and on creationComplete, I load some data onto the form textInputs. After the Form TextInputs have got their values, I want to trigger an event so the Parent of the component can validate the values on the TextInputs and based on the validation results, I perform some enable/disable of other interfaces. I have the following dispatch code: this.dispatchEvent(new PersonalDetailsEvent(PersonalDetailsEvent.LOADED_DATA_EVENT)); The event is dispatched and is captured by the parent. But upon performing the validation, some TextInputs always fail the validation. I thought it could be because of a race condition and so I used callLater() with same results. So in the end I am now using a timer to dispatch the event which is not ideal. Does anyone have a solution to this problem. It is really annoying that a timer needs to be used for this scenario.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to the trusted certificate store on the host machines, and so I was forced to write a custom http module to verify the certificates. My module never gets a chance to do the authentication, however, because IIS doesn't recognize the certificates and responds with a 403.7 error. How do I turn off client certificate validation, while still requiring clients to provide them?

  I want to restrict users to entering either just 0 or 1 in an Excel 2007 sheet. I use the Data Data Validation dialog to do this, but I'm finding that it doesn't stop them from entering blanks. What I would like is for there to be a prompt when they enter blanks, just like the one that appears when they enter any other non-blank data that is not 0 or 1. I plan to fill the sheet with 0s before applying the validation, so there should not be a problem with erroneous data. Also, I'm open to using VBA to fix this problem.

This works OK when initially loaded, however after I do a ajax postback and return the partial view from the server with an error showing, the jquery validation seems to be lost. In that, if I delete a required field and hit save the partial view gets submitted, when I would expect it to show an error message and not get submitted. Does Jquery validation need to be initialised somehow for the form in the partial view?
