Flex - Issues retrieving an XMLList

Hello! I'm having a problem retrieving a XMLList and I don't understand why. I have an application that is running properly. It uses some data from two xml files called division.xml and store.xml. I noticed that I have some data in division.xml that should be in store.xml, so I did a copy/paste of the data from one file to the other. This is the data I copied: <stores> <store> <odeis>101</odeis> <name></name> <password></password> <currency></currency> <currSymbol></currSymbol> </store> <store> <odeis>102</odeis> <name></name> <password></password> <currency></currency> <currSymbol></currSymbol> </store> </stores> In the application, I list all odeis codes and I need to retrieve the block store corresponding to the selected odeis code. Before moving the data into store.xml, this is how I retrieved the block: var node:XMLList = divisionData.division.(@name==HomePageData.instance.divisionName).stores.store.(odeis == HomePageData.instance.storeCodeOdeis) This is how I retrieve it after copying the data into store.xml: var node:XMLList = storeData.stores.(@name==HomePageData.instance.divisionName).store.(odeis == HomePageData.instance.storeCodeOdeis) And I'm currently getting the following error: ReferenceError: Error #1065: The variable odeis is not defined. Hi, banging my head here and thought that some one out there might be able to help. Have Tables below. Bucket( bucketId smallint (PK) name varchar(50) ) BucketUser( UserId varchar(10) (PK) bucketId smallint (PK) ) The composite key is not the problem thats ok I know how to get around this but I want my bucket class to contanin a IList of BucketUser. I read the online reference and thought that I had cracked it but havent. Flash video player doesn't play after rewriting a url

Hi! I recently started a new job working on a content management system. One of the jobs was to implement url rewriting, which i've done, but for some reason the URL rewriting has killed the ability to play flv files through FLVPlayer_Progressive. An example can be seen below: Working if you then follow the link on the menu and go to Campaigns It's a Living Thing you can see how it's not working when the url is being re-written. I am creating a wizard in Struts. It cotains 4 steps. For Each step I have separate ActionClass say:- Step1Action.java Step2Action.java Step3Action.java Step4Action.java and in each class there are 2 methods input() and process(). input() method is for showing the page in input mode process() method is will be use for processing the submitted data (if validation is ok) I am carrying all data upto the last step in a session. And saving all of them in database in the last step Similaly 4 action tags in struts.xml like :- <action name="step1" class="com.mycomp.myapp.action.Step1Action1" method="input"> <result name="success" type="redirectAction">step2</result> <result name="input">/view/step1.jsp</result> </action> <action name="step2" class="com.mycomp.myapp.action.Step1Action2" method="input"> <result name="success" type="redirectAction">step3</result> <result name="input">/view/step2.jsp</result> </action> But I think I am going wrong. Please Tell me How will I handle This case?

Distutils - Where Am I going wrong?

I wanted to learn how to create python packages, so I visited http://docs.python.org/distutils/index.html. For this exercise I'm using Python 2.6.2 on Windows XP. I followed along with the simple example and created a small test project: person/ setup.py person/ __init__.py person.py My person.py file is simple: class Person(object): def __init__(self, name="", age=0): self.name = name self.age = age def sound_off(self): print "%s %d" % (self.name, self.age) And my setup.py file is: from distutils.core import setup setup(name='person', version='0.1', packages=['person'], ) I ran python setup.py sdist and it created MANIFEST, dist/ and build/. Next I ran python setup.py install and it installed it to my site packages directory. I run the python console and can import the person module, but I cannot import the Person class. >>>import person >>>from person import Person Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> ImportError: cannot import name Person I checked the files added to site-packages and checked the sys.path in the console, they seem ok. Why can't I import the Person class. Where did I go wrong?

WPF toolbar disappearing on resize

On my main form I have a toolbar with a number of buttons. Once the parent form is resized down by dragging it so that the entire toolbar with all its buttons no longer fits in the width of the window, the whole toolbar disappears. Is there a way I can make it so that as you resize it, when you get to the width of the toolbar the inner controls of the form stop resizing and stay displayed, just cut off where the window has resized to? SMO ManagedComputer.ServiceInstances is empty

I am trying to use SMO (VS 2010, SQL Server 2008) to connect to SQL Server and view the server protocol configuration. I can connect and list the Services and ClientProtocols as well as the account MSSQLSERVER service is running under. However, the ServerInstances collection is empty. The only instance on the target server is the default (MSSQLSERVER), shouldn't that be in the collection? How can I get an instance of it so I can inspect the ServerProtocols collection? Exclude css & image resources in web.xml Security Constraint

I am using JSF2.1 and Glassfish 3.1.2. I specify a security constraint to block everything: <security-constraint> <web-resource-collection> <web-resource-name>Secured Content</web-resource-name>  <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </web-resource-collection>  <auth-constraint> <role-name>ADMINISTRATOR</role-name> </auth-constraint> </security-constraint> and have another to allow access a subset of pages and the resources: <security-constraint> <web-resource-collection> <web-resource-name>Open Content</web-resource-name>  <url-pattern>/subscribe/*</url-pattern> <url-pattern>/javax.faces.resource/*</url-pattern> </web-resource-collection>  </security-constraint> This works fine. However, is the following <url-pattern>/javax.faces.resource/*</url-pattern> the correct way to allow all resources? I only did this by looking at the url that Facelets injects into the xhtml. Is there security holes with this approach? Thanks.

Hi, I'm generating WCF service using Biztalk. The problem is I don't know how to modify timeouts and message max size, because it has only mex endpoint. I'm surprised how this works at all with just mex endpoint. So two questions are: Why does this works at all? What should I add to extend timeouts and message size?

I am trying to develop a very simple templated custom server control that resembles GridView. Speed of CSS

This is just a question to help me understand CSS rendering better. Lets say we have a million lines of this. <div class="first"> <div class="second"> <span class="third">Hello World</span> </div> </div> Which would be the fastest way to change the font of Hello World to red? .third { color: red; } div.third { color: red; } div.second div.third { color: red; } div.first div.second div.third { color: red; } Also, what if there was at tag in the middle that had a unique id of "foo". Which one of the CSS methods above would be the fastest. I know why these methods are used etc, im just trying to grasp better the rendering technique of the browsers and i have no idea how to make a test that times it. UPDATE: Nice answer Gumbo. From the looks of it then it would be quicker in a regular site to do the full definition of a tag. Since it finds the parents and narrows the search for every parent found. That could be bad in the sense you'd have a pretty large CSS file though.

Appending html data when item in html select list is selected

I use jquery to add them: $("#fieldcontainer").append("<div><label for=\"testurl\">Test Url</label><br /><input name=\"testurl[]\" type=\"text\" id=\"testurl_1\" value=\"\" /></div>"); $("#fieldcontainer").append("<div><label for=\"testpath\">Test Path</label><br /><input name=\"testpath[]\" type=\"text\" id=\"testpath_1\" value=\"\" /></div>"); I can easily add a click handler to make those form fields appear. But how would I keep track of what form fields were already added? When multiple fields are selected, the appropriate number of input fields needs to be added to the fieldcontainer div. And if they are unselected, the input fields need to be removed again. I also need to retrieve the value from the options in the select list to add them as identifier in the added input fields...

I am creating a new chart for each row of data in an Excel spreadsheet. I have the Vbasic working properly, but I want to change the position of the chart on the sheet that is added for each row. Below is my code, what do I need to do to change the position of the chart on the page automatically? Ideally, I would like it to be in the upper left hand corner of each sheet. Efficient alternative to merge() when building dataframe from json files with R?

The fromJSON() function reads in the data as lists of lists. Each element of the list is a person, which then contains a list of the attributes for that person. For example: [[1]] person_id name gender hair_color [[2]] person_id name location gender height [[...]] structure(list(person_id = "Amy123", name = "Amy", gender = "F", hair_color = "brown"), .Names = c("person_id", "name", "gender", "hair_color")) structure(list(person_id = "matt53", name = "Matt", location = structure(c(47231, "IN"), .Names = c("zip_code", "state")), gender = "M", height = 172), .Names = c("person_id", "name", "location", "gender", "height")) The end result of the code above is matrix where the columns are every person-attribute that appears in the structure above, and the rows are the relevant values for each person. As you can see though, some data is missing for some of the people, so I need to ensure those show up as NA and make sure things end up in the right columns. Further, location itself is a vector with two components: state and zip_code, meaning it needs to be flattened to location.state and location.zip_code before it can be merged with another person record; this is what I use unlist() for. I then keep the running master table in people_data. The above code works, but do you know of a more efficient way to accomplish what I'm trying to do? It appears the merge() is slowing this to a crawl... I have hundreds of files with hundreds of people in each file. Thanks! Bryan

How can I query those attributes so I can get ie. Get all the users where attributename is "Age" and attribute value is "20" ? I don't want to do this in foreach because I may have millions of users each having its unique attributes. Please help
