• AutoMapper and SecurityException in IIS

  Hi everybody... I'm developing a asp.net mvc application with nhibernate and I would not like to expose my objects mappings with NHibernate, so I created DTO for each entity and I'm trying to convert my Domain objects to DTO and send it to View. So I have in my sollution: ClassLibrary with my Domain (for NHibernate) and DTO objetcs Class library to make a SessionFactory adn Factories in my Project Asp.Net MVC 2 Application So, I download AutoMapper to transform Domain objects in DTO and add a the code to do this in Application_Start of global.asax. When I run in VisualStudio (by pressing F5) it works fine and my dtos are into the view, So when I publish this in IIS, I get a security exception =( in first line of conversion: Mapper.CreateMap(); <--- this line throw exception Mapper.CreateMap(); System.Security.SecurityException: Failed request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.ReflectionPermission, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'. What can I do to resolve this to work in IIS ? When I will publish it on web server, the error will get too :( Thanks Cheers

  i create my web site on asp.net and i create database in sql using inbuilt it in visual studio i use step to create database 1.right click on solution explorer then add newSqldatabase then ok then if i connect it by coding then it will work on my local PC but actuall i am making website so i want to store it on my web server then if i load databse file (.mdf) file in my web server where my all files are loaded then it is showing it error "A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)" so please help me and send me all step how i create database and what coding i use to connect on remote server....... • Dropdownlist and Datareader

  After trying many solutions listed on the internet I am very confused now. I have a C#/SQL web application for which I am simply trying to bind an ExecuteReader command to a Dropdownlist so the user can select a value. This is a VS2008 project on an XP OS. How it works is after the user selects a table, I use this selection as an input parameter to a method from my Datamatch.aspx.cs file. Then this Datamatch.aspx.cs file calls a method from my ADONET.cs class file. Finally this method executes a SQL procedure to return the list of columns from that table. (These are all tables in Adventureworks DB). I know that this method returns successfully the list of columns if I execute this SP in SSMS. However, I'm not sure how to tell if it works in VS or not. This should be simple. How can I do this? Here is some of my code. • emails not going out to all users

  I have a few scripts that send out emails to my users, and for some reason not all users are getting the email. The site is not live yet, so its no big deal yet but I dont understand why. I have set up a few fake accounts, one with my school email, one with hotmail and one with yahoo. When I sign up with my school email I recieve the welcome email, but I get nothing with the other email accounts. The same thing with my 'forgot password' email. Only my school email works, yahoo and hotmail arent working... I'm running on a Linux server with Apache. Using PHP and the kohana framework 2.3.4 Thanks.

• How to retrive only one cell from MySQL table with PHP

  I'm trying to create a forgotten password form that emails users their password. I'm having a problem, though, with the actual password part. You see, I have the email and comparing the email correct, except whenever I send the email I always get either "Your password is ." or "Your password is Array". I'm using: $check_email = mysql_num_rows(mysql_query("SELECT email FROM userRecovery WHERE email = '$to'")); if($check_email == 1){ $qtip = mysql_query("SELECT password FROM userRecovery WHERE email = '$to'"); $theirPassword = mysql_fetch_array($qtip); Rest of the Code... } I used to be able to do this correctly, but I haven't done PHP or MySQL in too long so it's slightly annoying (that, and I'm at a beginner-intermediate kind of level). • Universal iPad App rejected because of launch crash that I can't reproduce

  Hello everyone, I'm very frustrated with this problem. After one week of waiting my universal iPad app has been rejected because "is crashing on launch on iPad running iPhone OS 3.2 and iPhone 3GS running iPhone OS 3.1.3 and Mac OS X 10.6.2." Unfortunately I can't replicate the problem, I've tested in debug and release modes and the app works just fine. I even created an ad-hoc configuration and test it in other devices and everything works fine. • MSXML2.XMLHTTP Request to validate entered URL in ASP Classic

  Hi guys. Thanks in advance for any help received. I want to allow our client to enter a URL into a text field which then checks whether the URL exists and works. There are 3 possible outcomes I want to check for: A status of 200 - OK, A status of 500 - Server Error, Or a status of 404 - page not found. When executing the following code in ASP classic I get a status code of 12007 when I should be getting 404. Is this because it can't find a webserver to return a code of 404?   Just learning how Open-ESB (GlassFishESB) works and evaluating it for a project. One point I do not understand is that if I have a Composite application bound to an incoming web service (hosted on the glassfish server) can I get muple composite applications to consume this message ? If so is it done by A) simply deploying the multiple composite applications each referencing the save URL and same WSDL B) include each JBI module in the CASA editor and deploy a single composite application with all parts included (will this reduce scaling?) C) create a new composite application which has a BPEL process to send the in message to new endpoints for each compisite applciation . My feeling is that option A should work?

• Is it possible to interop with Thunderbird using C#?

  Here's the latest hurdle in my ongoing quest to automate my job: All email in the company goes through 4 different email adresses, switching randomly back and forth (with a note attached in the global share: please set "keep email on server") All logic related to email is contained in a nice big Thunderbird profile, which gets copied back and forth to new machines; this includes sorting invoices into 5 different "folders", the list of VIP adresses to send notifications, and the VIP level of those customers I only need the contents of those folders (the attachments, anyway) The question: is there a way to ask Thunderbird for those attachments and lists from C#? Alternatively, can Outlook be set up to synchronize with Thunderbird? Where do I start reading? Ditching Thunderbird is not an option right now, I need to keep up with changes to the VIP list. P.S. I will set up a real email server right after Monkey saves me enough time to convince people about it.

• How can I differentiate between the .net WebBrowser component and an actual browser?

  OK, so we have an online downloads store accessed via our software. Recently we've had requests to allow downloads via normal browsers and it's fairly easy just to slap a download page on. The problem is that it would be confusing to people having two download links, one for the software and one for their web browser, so we want to differentiate between the two and only show the relevant download link. From what I've gathered, the .net WebBrowser component is the same as IE and uses the same User Agent, so we can't use that unless we subclass the WebBrowser in the software to make it use a specific User Agent. It's the more sensible option, but we'd have to roll out another updated version, which is less than ideal. Are there any other ways to tell if someone's accessing a site via the .net component? My only other alternative is to copy the store to a different address with the different download links and send people there. Again this is doable, but not ideal.

• Reusable socket

  I tryed to create a socket in php and reuse it from other process. I know this can be done with a daemon script but I want to do this without. I created a socket and binded it to a specific port. $sock = socket_create (AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM, SOL_TCP); socket_set_option ($sock, SOL_SOCKET, SO_REUSEADDR, 1); socket_bind ($sock, 'xx.xx.xx.xx', 10000); socket_connect ($sock, $host, $port); And from another php file I did the same thing. But the packets that I send from the 2 file are not "validated" by host. I sniffed all ports and I see that it uses same local and destination port. I don't understand where is the problem. Can you help me with this? It's ok in any other programming language, or any other solution for this. Andrew

• Creating a specialised view filtering form in Rails

  G'day guys, I have a current set of data, and I generate multiple analyses of this data (each analysis into its own active record item called a pricing_interval) using a helper function at the moment. Currently to analyse the set of data, you need a start time(using datetime_select) an integer (using text_field) and a name (using text_field) I would like on submission of the form to be redirected to the index page of my pricing_interval, as the values will be re-generated. Manually generating a range proves that my helper methods work. How would I build a form that on submit would send parameters to a function in the form of (date,integer,name) so that it could immediately begin work whilst redirecting the user to server/pricing_intervals Anything at all would help, I've spent hours over the past few days trying to get the rails form syntax working properly to no avail, a really straightforward guide to what I would implement to get this working would be amazingly appreciated. I've looked through the form guides, as I'm not creating an object, but merely parsing params, there's got to be an easy way to do this, right?

  Who has their email fully encrypted ? I would like to encrypt my email but I am not sure how to start. If I use encrypted email and I send an email to someone who does not encrypt his email how can the receiver read the email ? What email client would you recommend to run on a windows systems for encrypted email ? I am using Thunderbird at the moment. As I understand you have to generate 2 keys (one public and one private) but how do you generate this key? I also think that you have to put your key somewhere to download but I don't understand how you can trust the downloaded keys.   I'm using the SDL_net sockets API to create a server and client. I can easily read a string buffer, but when I try to send hexadecimal data, recv gets the length, but I cannot seem to be a able to read the buffer contents. IPaddress ip; TCPsocket server,client; int bufSize = 1024; char message[bufSize]; int len; server = SDLNet_TCP_Open(&ip); client = SDLNet_TCP_Accept(server); len = SDLNet_TCP_Recv(client,message,bufSize); Here's a snippet. the buffer length "len" is set (i.e. message length) but I can't get to the data contents in the message buffer. Some sample bind_transmitter PDU data was sent by a random client to the server at that port. I can't read the PDU (SMPP).

  Hi all, I am trying to make my web app compatible with international languages and I am stuck with trying to convert escaped characters in my Delphi .NET DLL. The front end code is passing the UTF-8 hex notation with an escape character e.g for ? I pass \uE3818A. In my DLL I capture this and constract the following string '$E3828A'. I need to convert this back to ? and send it to my database, I've been trying to use Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes and Encoding.UTF8.GetString but with no luck. Anyone could help me figure this out?   I'm trying to send a very long binary integer over UDP (on the order of 200 bits). When I try to use Array's pack method, it complains the string I'm trying to convert is too large.   Nginx uses epoll, or other multiplexing techniques(select) for its handling multiple clients, i.e it does not spawn a new thread for every request unlike apache. I tried to replicate the same in my own test program using select. I could accept connections from multiple client by creating a non-blocking socket and using select to decide which client to serve. My program would simply echo their data back to them .It works fine for small data transfers (some bytes per client) The problem occurs when I need to send a large file over a connection to the client. Since i have only one thread to serve all client till the time I am finished reading the file and writing it over to the socket i cannot resume serving other client. Is there a known solution to this problem, or is it best to create a thread for every such request ?

  hey guys, I have a WPF application that contains windows with few user controls and Coordinator object. the window and all its user controls pointing to an object, which instace is in the Coordinator, by thier DataContext. the problem is that I want to change this object (e.g. create new object()) in the Coordinator but I want all the dataContexts to point to the new object. I tried to send the object by ref to the window constructor but it didn't help. any idea about how can I rewrite the memory location that all pointers are pointing to?   I want to use JAX-RS REST services as a back-end for a web application used directly by humans with browsers. Since humans make mistakes from time to time I want to validate the form input and redisplay the form with validation message, if something wrong was entered. By default JAX-RS sends a 400 or 404 status code if not all or wrong values were send. Say for example the user entered a "xyz" in the form field "count": @POST public void create(@FormParam("count") int count) { ... } JAX-RS could not convert "xyz" to int and returns "400 Bad Request". How can I tell the user that he entered an illegal value into the field "count"? Is there something more convenient than using Strings everywhere and perform conversation by hand?

• Sql Server Service Broker Conversation Groups

  Can someone explain conversation groups in service broker? Currently, I'm using service broker to send messages from one SQL server to another. On the sending server, I'm trying to correlate the messages so they are processed in serial on the receiving side. Based on the documentation, conversation groups seem to be a perfect fit for this, but on the receiving server, the messages get assigned to a different conversation group from the one I specified when sending the message. I've search around the web and saw that this behavior seems to be intended (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/sqlservicebroker/thread/baf48074-6804-43ab-844a-cb28a6dce02b/), but then I'm confused about the usefulness of the syntax from (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms178624.aspx) WAITFOR( GET CONVERSATION GROUP @conversation_group_id FROM [dbo].[ReceiveQueue] ) If the conversation group doesn't come across with the message from the sender and messages sent with the same conversation group id don't have the same conversation group id on the receive side, what's the point of the code above?
