  Hi, I am trying to learn how to use different views, for this sample test app, i have a login page, upon successful logon, the user is redirected to a table view and then upon selection of an item in the table view, the user is directed to a third page showing details of the item. the first page works just fine, but the problem occurs when i go to the second page, the table shown doesn't have title and i cannot add title or toolbar or anything other than the content of the tables themselves. and when i click on the item, needless to say nothing happens. no errors as well. i am fairly new to programming and have always worked on Java but never on C(although i have some basic knowledge of C) and Objective C is new to me.   I'm familiar with using a function to determine a specific condition using xtemplate but not sure how to directly call a function without the conditional if statement. My code, for example, wants to append some characters to a string that I am using within my xtemplate. • NSFetchedResultsController crashing on performFetch: when using a cache

  I make use of NSFetchedResultsController to display a bunch of objects, which are sectioned using dates. On a fresh install, it all works perfectly and the objects are displayed in the table view. However, it seems that when the app is relaunched I get a crash. I specify a cache when initialising the NSFetchedResultsController, and when I don't it works perfectly.   Hi, I would like to create a photo/video capture application. I have created a CaptureView class which extends SurfaceView and placed it in the main form. The main form's activity has onCreateOptionsMenu() method which creates a menu. The menu worked fine but then I tried to implement a method onKeyDown: @Override public boolean onKeyDown(int keyCode, KeyEvent event) { if(event.getAction() == KeyEvent.ACTION_DOWN) { switch(keyCode) { case KeyEvent.KEYCODE_CAMERA: videoPreview.TakePicture(); return true; } } return super.onKeyDown(keyCode, event); } The menu doesn't appear anymore and the method doesn't catch onKeyDown event.   Well the problem is that I have this enum, BUT I don't want the combobox to show the values of the enum. This is the enum: public enum Mode { [Description("Display active only")] Active, [Description("Display selected only")] Selected, [Description("Display active and selected")] ActiveAndSelected } So in the ComboBox instead of displaying Active, Selected or ActiveAndSelected, I want to display the DescriptionProperty for each value of the enum. I do have an extension method called GetDescription() for the enum: public static string GetDescription(this Enum enumObj) { FieldInfo fieldInfo = enumObj.GetType().GetField(enumObj.ToString()); object[] attribArray = fieldInfo.GetCustomAttributes(false); if (attribArray.Length == 0) { return enumObj.ToString(); } else { DescriptionAttribute attrib = attribArray[0] as DescriptionAttribute; return attrib.Description; } } So is there a way I can bind the enum to the ComboBox AND show it's content with the GetDescription extension method? All I want to do is to round a double to value with 2 digit after decimal separator. A workaround to this problem is to concatenate "00001" to the string and then use the Math.Round function (commented in the example above). This double value multiplied to 100 (as integer) is send to a device (cash register) and this values must be correct. I am using VS2005 + .NET CF 2.0 Is there another more "elegant" solution, I am not happy with this one.

  Let me describe the situation I am trying to do: I have a list of Items. When I go into ItemDetailView, which is a UITableView. I want to do paging here like: When I scroll down out of the table view, I want to display the next item. Like in Good Reader: Currently, I am trying 2 approaches but both do not really work for me. 1st: I let my UITableView over my scroll view and I have a nice animation and works quite ok except sometimes, the UITableView will receive event instead of my scroll view. And because, a UITableView is already a UITableView, this approach seems not be a good idea.   I would like to be able to close the editpreference dialog (as shown here http://twitpic.com/18ttdp) by pressing the 'Done' button on the keyboard. Currently, pressing 'Done' just dismisses the keyboard but leaves the dialog.   i'm using linq-to-sql and i'm use complied linq for better performance. I have a users table with a INT field called "LookingFor" that can have the following values.1,2,3,12,123,13,23. I wrote a query to return the users based on the "lookingFor" column i want to return all users that contains the "lookingFor" value (not only those equal to it).   Okay I'm trying to add comments and reactions count just like what you would normally see on some wordpress blogs like http://johntwang.com/blog/ where on the left top of each post there is ** comment and * reactions* My problem is I can't find the disqus's documentation, where hopefully there is some method I can call to return me the number of reactions and comments. Also if I use the wordpress default method <?php comments_popup_link ('zero','one','more','CSSclass','none');?> it only displays "Comments" not even the comment's number count on the main page. How can I add reaction and comment count with disqus plugin ? edit: well my site is http://www.windows7hacker.com/ I don't know how I suppose to add comments count at first place. But right now if I use the wordpress method, it will return me only comments, which is exactlly one of the problem they have described in their help page I've tired to check the comment count option still doesn't work :(

  I have the following setup: A subclass of UISplitViewController that creates the master and detail view controllers in the constructor. Master and Detail view controllers that both override shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation to return `YES'. Detail view controller implements the UISplitViewControllerDelegate protocol and deals with the popover. I am observing two weird issues that might be interrelated: When the split view comes up (in portrait mode - default on simulator), the Master view is visible. It should not be. When I rotate the simulator, the view does not "right" itself. My UISplitViewController subclass does not override shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation. However, both master and details view controllers do and return YES. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Is this a simulator bug? Thanks. -Raj

• axis2 web service behave differently when tested with web service client or with local test class

  Hello I need to update a facade to some web service proxy classes to a third party web service, and expose them as a service. This for two reason : to maintain the same interface for all application that need to use the system : actually its migrating and there are a few differences in the third party ws (method names); and to expose a simplified interface. The third party has provided me with a manual and some pregenerated proxy classes to their service (the java file says generated with axis2 1,4) . I've used netbeans 6.8 and the axis2 plugin to create an axis2 service . This service contains the proxy classes and the facade class which instantiate the web service proxy and calls its method; the facade class is exposed as service. I've used axis2 1.4 (at beginnig and later 1.5 ) and tomcat 6.0. The first test i did was to call the facede methods from inside the project itself and it worked. Then i've created a new project with a jax-ws web service client to call my class deployed on axis2. At this point has happened two strange thing : In the axis2 services page has appeared the third party proxy class as if it were a new service (if i try to get the wsdl axis raises an error ). eg. the proxy interface is named WebServiceAPI (_stub is the concrete class) and , after the first call to my service , i find a new "WebServicesAPI1272968932531_1" service inside axis . The call obvoiusly fail i've began to sniff soap messages with wireshark and i've found they differs when using proxy classes direclty from my facade test class by the messages created after being deployed on axis. i've noticed they differs for the presence of the soap header in the failing message. any help would be greatly appreciated : maybe i messed up something, there might be some incompatibilities or version mistakes? below i've added the signature of the third party proxy, its impementation and the different soap messages: /* * WebServicesAPI.java * This file was auto-generated from WSDL * by the Apache Axis2 version: 1.4 Built on : Apr 26, 2008 (06:24:30 EDT) */ package com.ibm.eci.wsapi;   I want to be able to take the user to the requested page after login, but this does not happen with sfGuard. ** My Register action requires SignIn ;) ** On the listing page [http://cim/frontend_dev.php/] - user clicks the 'Register' link [@register = register/index] - user is taken to 'Signin' page provided by sfGuard - after sign-in, user is taken back to the Listing page (instead of Register) This is quite annoying!   I get the following exception when attempting to read the response from my HttpWebRequest: System.IO.IOException: Received an unexpected EOF or 0 bytes from the transport stream. at System.Net.ConnectStream.Read(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 size) at System.IO.StreamReader.ReadBuffer() at System.IO.StreamReader.ReadToEnd() ... My code functions without issue when using http. I am talking to a third-party device; I do not have access to the server code.
