  • Physical address and contact details in Meta tags

    I remember someone once saying it was useful (for SEO purposes) to include your address and contact details in the site's Meta tags. I don't recall if he meant in in the meta description or in another type of meta tag. Have you hear of this strategy before? I believe the person implied that Google would tie all of your Local Listings together for a better SEO score if you listed matching contact details in your meta tags.

    Possible Duplicate: Make your site anti-bot? I want to prevent spam from overrunning my website, but neither do I want to make the user type in captcha each time they make a post. Any suggestions? Context: My website allows anonymous users to make leave comments on the fly. Comments are randomly displayed, so the more spam = higher chance of it being shown. Need to prevent spam but don't want to have each comment require captcha input.

  • Tracking traffic and/or referrals from iPad applications

    In Google Analytics, there is extensive information on the mobile device, version and browser version. However, this doesn't seem to go beyond the mobile browser. I would like to determine which application is responsible for visits to my site. Specifically, I want to know how many visits are coming from zite. http://www.handsetdetection.com/properties/vendormodel/Apple/iPad/page:4 seems to indicate this information is probably available, where/does Google Analytics expose this?

  • PHP framework suggestions

    I'm going to be creating a site for a business with the following: Single Item purchases with Paypal, Google Checkout and Amazon Checkout Digital Downloads for members from a CDN Forum Voting on different items While that seems rather simple having to deal with the three different payment gateways is a big pain in the ass. Django has a great payment library which works for all three but I'm not able to find one for any of the PHP frameworks. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm posting here as suggested by someone at Stackoverflow.

    I'm developing a web site where I want the left menu to stay fix, while the content of the clicked option is loaded. Actually, what I do is that each menu link using AJAX it return the requested content. Everything works fine but I would like to avoid it because then statistics are difficult to follow (among some other things like Google boots).     I am having some issues using RadRails and the RadRails support site is not getting me any answers (I've had questions up for days with no response which StackOverflow has conditioned me to find unacceptable!). Primarily I have questions about things like exceptions thrown when running the project or mismatches between instructions and reality. Can I ask these questions on Programmers.stackexchange?   • No sound through hdmi to TV

    I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop Model P745-S4102 with Intel integrated graphics and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS installed recently. When I connect my HDMI TV to it I only get video through it and no audio. In the System Settings - Sound, there is no option to select HDMI as the output. I read other threads in this site and it seems like at least guys had HDMI option but no sound. I don't even get that. Please help!!

When migrating the domain in Google Webmaster Tools...will all the authority from the old domain pass if I use 301 redirects? Does anyone know how all the reviews I have collected will get transferred to the new domain when using the AdWords seller ratings? Any other important issues to be wary of when migrating to the new domain?
