    Hi, I've just added a ttf file to the project (c# 2008 express) as "file" and build option to embeded resource. I'm having problems when trying to set this font like this: (I know the next line is wrong...) this.label1.Font = AlarmWatch.Properties.Resources.Baby_Universe; Error 1 Cannot implicitly convert type 'byte[]' to 'System.Drawing.Font' C:\Users\hongo\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\AlarmWatch\AlarmWatch\Form1.Designer.cs 57 32 AlarmWatch I know it is byte[] cause I've set the option build as embeded resource, but...comparing with this line that is correct "this.label1.Font = new System.Drawing.Font("OCR A Extended", 24F, System.Drawing.FontStyle.Regular, System.Drawing.GraphicsUnit.Point, ((byte)(0)));" How can I set this.label1 to use the new font??? thanks

  • Compiling a c++ project using blas (Fortran) in Matlab mex

    I am trying to use a package here. I have no problem compiling it under 64-bit Linux as all the Makefiles are already provides. Only minor changes are needed, which I can handle. However, I have a problem compiling it under 64-bit Windows. I have installed gfortran and also compiled BLAS and CBLAS to their static libraries. The problem is that Matlab mex does not support GCC in windows, so I need to use VC 2008 instead. I found in the Makefile this line is to get the final klr_train.mexw64: klr_train.$(MEX_EXT): klr_train.cpp $(MEX) $(MEX_OPTION) klr_train.cpp ../libklr/libklr.cpp $(CBLASDIR)/lib/LINUX/cblas_LINUX.a $(BLASDIR)/blas_LINUX.a -lgfortran I don't know how to execute this line using VC 2008's command line tool cl. As cl obviously does not support -lgfortran, which I think is used to link some library in gfortran to support BLAS.

Example: '14 AUG 2008 14:23:019' What is the best method to only select the records for a particular day, ignoring the time part? Who could help me so it also strips /** and the final slash /? Any help would be greatly appreciated! P.S: If, for instance, the commentlbock would contain something like /** * @foo Here's some slashes for ya: / and \ */ Then obviously the slashes after @foo may not be stripped. The reult would have to be: @foo Here's some slashes for ya: / and \ I hope there's a regex guru out there :-)

    We have developed an ASP.NET website on a Windows 7 - 32 bit platform using Visual Studio 2008. This website is being hosted at a hosting company where we share a server with hundreds of other ASP.NET websites. We are in the process of changing our hosting to a dedicated Windows 2008 - 64 bit server. We have installed Visual Studio on this new server in order to debug our application. If we try to start the application on this new server using Visual Studios 2008's own web server (not IIS 7) we get the error below. We have tried to compile the application in both 32 as well as 64 bit mode. We also tried to compile to "Any CPU". But nothing helps. The task is looking for "AL.exe" in the "bin" subdirectory beneath the location specified in the InstallationFolder value of the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A. You may be able to solve the problem by doing one of the following: 1) Install the Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows Server 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5. 2) Install Visual Studio 2008. 3) Manually set the above registry key to the correct location. 4) Pass the correct location into the "ToolPath" parameter of the task.

    I'm having problems publishing my MVC project. When I do publish and upload everything to web server I get this: [InvalidOperationException: The view 'Index' or its master could not be found. The following locations were searched: ~/Views/Home/Index.aspx ~/Views/Home/Index.ascx ~/Views/Shared/Index.aspx ~/Views/Shared/Index.ascx] Weird thing is that Index.aspx exists in ~/Views/Home/, but IIS cannot find it there. If I copy entire project to web server and let asp.net compile it on the fly it works like a charm.     Hello, I need to know wether or not to buy the VS 2010 premium or not. I have the database project working on my own version of vs 2008 team suite. My coworkers only have 2008 professional. We are moving to VS2010 now. We do not have MSDN licenses for our company right now. We are looking to buy just the VS2010 no MSDN. It is very pricey to get 6 of VS2010 premium. We need to get our database into source control. We are currently email scripts around, and it very difficult to keep track off. Are there any non-microsoft solutions that would be the same features and be free?

  • VS2008 Express no longer opens projects after VS2010 express Phone

    So I installed the new april release of the VS2010 express for windows phone 7 and now VS2008 express C# no longer opens .csproj files. I'm at a loss as to why this is as I've not changed anything in the files themselves. I'm currently uninstalling windows phone 7 in the hopes that I will be able to open my files again. I have a feeling though I'm going to need to uninstall 2008 as well and the reinstall it to get everything to work. In the future how should I install 2010 express for win 7 phone to prevent it from interfering with 2008 express?

    Hello, gcc 4.4.2 / Visual Studio C++ 2008 I have been using cmake on linux, without any problems. Now I have ported by application to run on windows. I generated the solution files using cmake -G "Visual Studio 9 2008 ../src" However, I know that cmake only creates a Makefile that is used by the compiler to build your application. I open my solution in Visual Studio, I press the F7 key to compile. I am wondering does it actually use the Makefile that was generated by cmake? Or it is just compiling the application like any normal visual studio program? Many thanks for any advice,

    Hi all - this is driving me absolutely nuts. I'm not the most experienced with CSS, so I'm hoping it is something simple. I'm running Wordpress 2.9.2 with "The Morning After" theme. I am trying to write a post where I want to display two small pictures, with captions, side-by-side and centered in the middle of the page. If I use "aligncenter" the pics are in the center, but stacked one on top of the other. My first thought was to wrap the images in a div using: <div style="text-align:center;">image code</div> but that doesn't work. Now, if I wrap in a centered div like that and omit the [caption] tags, it works, but I need the captions. Those caption tags are translated by Wordpress into it's own div of class wp-caption. I've also tried wrapping each separate image in its own div within a parent centered div wrapper. Here is the pertinent parts of the style.css - please let me know if you need any other info, and if you can help me, I will postpone jumping off the nearest bridge! Thanks!!   • What could cause "Connection Interrupted" on LocalHost when debugging in ASP.NET

    I'm trying to run a freshly created ASP.NET Website using C#, however when I do so it launches FireFox and attempts to connect to http://localhost:1295/WebSite1/Default.aspx (for example), but after about 10-15 seconds it displays a "Connection Interrupted - The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." Error. This issue is also present with older ASP.NET C# pages/Web Services I've built in the past, nothing is actually running off the ASP.NET Development server. I am using: Windows XP Pro SP2, Visual Studio 2008 For reference I have SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition installed as well. I have tried: Browsing it with IE instead of Mozilla Trying 2.0 framework instead of 3.5 Reinstalling Visual Studio 2008 This problem seems so trivial the more I think about it, but I havn't been able to work it out just yet! Appreciate any help on the matter.

  • Debugging ASP.NET on a built-in web server suddenly stops

    I have Windows Server 2008 (64-bit), VS 2008 with its built-in webserver and an ASP.NET MVC 1.0 webapp. All I'm trying to do is to debug said app. I have a bunch of breakpoints, but they behave in a very strange way. When I fist start a debugging session with F5 and hit a breakpoint, the debugger stops just fine. However, after serveral F10s/F11s debugging suddenly "stops" (no exceptions at that time), but neither VS detaches from browsers' process, nor webapp execution stops: Visual Studio stays attached, and web request continues executing as usual. I tried various browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE), but to no avail. What do I do to solve this? It really drives me insane.

My VS stops working after 5 p.m. most of days with complaining can not connect Source Safe. I'm running VS 2008 and VSS 2005 on Vista and no other one in corporate have such a problem. What do you think about its cause? Is there any log for VSS?

  • IIS 7 - floats returning with commas instead of periods

    I'm having trouble reading rows with float values, because these rows return for example 12,34 instead of 12.34 as it should. I suspect this is because both my IIS and SQL server is on a Norwegian Windows Server 2008. So I went to the regional settings and customized the default decimal symbol, then restarted my servers. The output in the database now shows the period decimal symbol, but when I request it through the IIS server it comes comma separated (the IIS server is on another computer, but that also has the default decimal symbol set to period). The IIS server is IIS7 and the SQL Server is 2008 Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
