• The resource cannot be found. WCF .svc file

  I am making a WCF service. System Config: Widnows 7, ASP.NET 3.5, IIS 7.0 Server Config: IIS7, ASP.NET 3.5 It works fine on my system, but when i deploy this on the server i get following error The resource cannot be found. when i try accessing my .svc file. Please help me out in this. My server is with GoDaddy, so i have no control on the server. I have to do everything in my code only. Please help.

• Creating sub-applications within applications in IIS/ASP.Net

  I am basically trying to do the same thing as this question, create a new application within a folder so it could be accessed as follows. * http://www.domain.com/ < Main App * http://www.domain.com/newapp < New App The problem is that newapp is reading the web.config from the Main App, which is causing errors because it doesn't have all the same dlls etc. For New App, in IIS, the starting point is set at /newapp, so I am not sure why it is reading the web.config from / at all. It is set as it's own application. I am testing this in IIS6 on XP Pro, so not sure if that makes a difference. The Main App is dotnet 1.1, and New App is 3.0.

  What publishing frameworks (publishing only, NOT full-blown CMS) based on XML, XSLT sitemaps and pipelines exist, are stable, active, and simpler / lighter than Cocoon? I have glanced at: mod_xslt (http://www.mod-xslt2.com/) which seemed to be exactly that, but looks all but dead, and required a complex setup, and apparently supported only libxslt as an XSLT processor (I'd like to be able to use Saxon and XSLT 2.0 of course). Apache Forrest (http://forrest.apache.org/), but I don't understand if it is really simpler than Cocoon or is rather an additionnal thing on top of Cocoon? What I'm looking for is something that does just this: recieves an HTTP GET "runs it" through a sitemap finds a pipeline: source.xml - xslt1.xsl - xslt2.xsl - xsltn.xsl - serialize runs the pipeline serves the serialized result to the client and: uses Saxon (or is "processor independant") can be installed "lightly", that is: should not require much more configuration than the sitemap Maybe I'm describing an early version of Cocoon, or a future version of an XProc implementation... Anyway, does such a tool exist?

  Im running cygwin on a windows vista pc. Ive successfully installed sshd, configured, and built gitosis. I can remotely git clone the gitosis-admin.git repository, made a change to the config, committed and pushed back to cygwin machine successfully. However the post-update doesnt execute and the new repository (as specified in the config) have not created. I have run: chmod 755 /home/git/repositories/gitosis-admin.git/hooks/post-update and an ls -l shows the following: -rwxr-xr-x 1 git None 69 2010-04-13 22:55 post-update yet, when I run: ./post-update I receive the following error: ERROR:gitosis.run_hook:Must have GIT_DIR set in enviroment Ive included in my git .bashrc the line: GIT_DIR=$HOME/repositories/gitosis-admin.git/ and if I type Set at the prompt, I can see: GIT_DIR=/home/git/repositories/gitosis-admin.git/ What else can I try, because Im running out of ideas.

  The default controller in my ASP.NET MVC project is decorated with the [Authorize] attribute. When I deploy the website on my development machine and access the website, I am redirected to the login page (defined in forms loginUrl section of the Web.Config). Result: everything works as expected. When I publish the website on our production server (Windows Server 2008, IIS 7, DefaultAppPool) and access the website, the expected address shows in the address bar (/Account/LogOn?ReturnUrl=*my_expected_return_url*), but the page displays "You do not have permission to view this directory or page." instead of the login page. If I remove the [Authorize] attribute on the default controller/action, the page displays correctly. My Web.Config file: sessionState mode="InProc" timeout="30" authentication mode="Forms" forms loginUrl="~/Account/LogOn" timeout="2880"

  Hello. Once deployed parts of my web-application stop working. Index-es on each controller do work, and one form posting via Ajax, Login works too. Other then that yields 404. I understand that nothing particular should be done in integrated mode. I don't know how to proceed with troubleshooting. Some info: App is using default app pool set to integrated mode. WebApp is done in net framework 3.5. I use default routing model. Along web.config in root there is web.config in /View folder referencing HttpNotFoundHandler. OS is Windows Server 2008. Admins issued aspnet_regiis.exe -i IIS 7 Any help is appreciated. Thx. EDIT: I determined that only actions that accept ID parameter don't work. On the contrary, when I add dummy id method in Home controller of default MVC app it works. I use the web.config mappings I'm trying to map the following url: www.mydomain.com/product-deals/manufacturer-model_PRODUCTId.aspx To: www.mydomain.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productID=xxx obviously in the above example, xxx is replaced from the "productId" from the "friendly" url.   Hey guys! I run a small web development company along side with my brother and friend. After doing extensive research I have decided on using subversion for version control. Here is how I currently plan on running typical development. Keep in mind there are 3 of us each in a separate location. I set up an account with springloops (springloops.com) subversion hosting. Each time I work on a new project, I create a repository for it. So lets say in this case I am working on site1. I want to have 3 versions of the site on the internet: Web Development - This is the server me and the other developers publish to. (site1.dev.bythepixel.com) Client Preview - This is the server that we update every few days with a good revision for the client to see. (site1.bythepixel.com) Live Site - The site I publish to when going live (site1.com) Each web development machine (at each location) will have a local copy of xamp running virtual host to allow multiple websites to be worked on. The root of the local copy is set up to be the same as the local copy of the subversion repository. This is set up so we can make small tweaks and preview them immediately. When some work has been done, a commit is made to the repository for the site. I will have the dev site automatically be pushed (its an option in springloops). Then, whenever I feel ready to push to the client site I will do so. Now, I have a few concerns with those work flow: I am using codeigniter currently, and in the config file I generally set the root of the site. Ex. http://www.site1.com. So, it looks like each time I publish to one of the internet servers, I will have to modify the config file? Is there any way to make it so certain files are set for each server? So when I hit publish to client preview it just uploads the config file for the client preview server. I don't want the live site , the client preview site and the dev site to share the same mysql server for a variety of reasons. So does this once again mean that I have to adjust the db server info each time I push to a different site? Does this workflow make sense? If you have any suggestion please let me know. I plan for this to be the work flow I use for the next few year. I just need to put a system in place that allows for future expansion! Thanks a bunch!!

(it is always null). so: http://localhost/myservice.svc/SplitString/testtext does not work. What is the correct url format (or UriTemplate) one should use? The only examples I found of odata and WebGet only have an example method which doesn't have any parameters.

  I've seen this question asked before, but I've tried various solutions proposed, to no avail. Essentially, I have two EJB enterprise applications, that need to communicate with one another. The first is a web application, the second is a search server - they are located on different development servers, not in the same node, cell, or JVM, although they are on the same physical box. I'm doing the JNDI lookup via IIOP, and the URL I am using is as follows: iiop://searchserver:2819 In my hosts file, I've set searchserver to 127.0.0.1. The ports for my search server are bound to this hostname too. However, when the web app (that uses Spring btw) attempts to lookup the search EJB, it fails with the following error. This is driving me nuts, surely this kind of comms between the servers should be fairly simple to get working. I've checked the ports and they are correct. I note that the exception says the initial context is H00723Node03Cell/nodes/H00723Node03/servers/server1, name: ejb/com/hmv/dataaccess/ejb/hmvsearch/HMVSearchHome. This is the web apps server NOT the search server. Is this correct? How can I get Spring to use the right context?   I want to upload some files of size 35MB on to the blob container. I have coded for splitting the data into blocks and upload it on to the blob container and form a blob using PUT. I tested the code for some files of Size 2MB or something... It worked well. But When I tried it for a large MB file, its giving me this error Server Error 404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. when I tried it for files of size 6MB, it gives me this error.. Server Error in '/' Application. Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server. • Getting a .Net remoting service accessible with IP v6 and IP v4

  My company has an existing .Net Remoting service that listens on a port, fronting interfaces used by external systems. This all works great with IP v4 based communications. However, this service now needs to support both IP v4 communications and IP v6 communications. I have found info that the system.runtime.remoting section of the app.config should include two channels as follows: <channel ref="tcp" name="tcp6" port="9000" bindTo="[::]" /> <channel ref="tcp" name="tcp4" port="9000" bindTo="0.0.0.0" /> I've tried this. For communications to this service and a direct response back, this works great. Some of the communications instead return a stream back, either for uploading or downloading large files. These calls fail with the an ArgumentException: IPv4 address 0.0.0.0 and IPv6 address ::0 are unspecified addresses that cannot be used as a target address. Parameter name: hostNameOrAddress How should these config values be modified so that the client will know how to communicate back to the .Net remoting service?

  This is a new iPhone project, only 1 target (different from this question) On build we get: Failed to launch simulated application: Unknown error. The google again gives us nothing, lots of people have encountered this and there are lots of crazy ideas to try "oh clean the build", "clear the cache", "twiddle this flag" and none of them work and work consistently. We can reproduce this on two different machines with SDK 2.2.1 and 3.0 beta. Not the install on the machines since other iphone projects work just fine so we believe it has something to do with the config of this particular project but after combing through the config twice we can't spot the problem.   I'm using ASP.NET MVC to develop a web application, deploying to IIS 7. I've hidden my Files and Views directories with web.config files in those directories (they just return a normal 404). However, I haven't been able to get the web.config method to work in hiding my bin directory. When I access www.mywebapp.com/bin, I instead get a too-revealing page with this message: HTTP Error 404.8 - Not Found The request filtering module is configured to deny a path in the URL that contains a hiddenSegment section. The page reveals part of my directory structure. I just want it to return my 404 page like the Files and Views directories do. How can I get this behavior?

• rsRenderingExtensionNotFound error using SSRS 2005

  Hi, I am trying to use the Sharp-shooter Silverlight report viewer control. This control has a server side component that renders the reports as XAML for displaying in the client side control. I have tried manually installing the rendering extension, according to the instructions on their website, and also the instructions on MSDN. I have basically copied the dll's into the reporting services bin folder and added the following line to rsreportserver.config file: <Extension Name="XAML" Type="PerpetuumSoft.ReportingService.XamlRendering.XamlRenderer,PerpetuumSoft.ReportingService.XamlRendering"/> I've also added a line into the rssrvpolicy.config file as specified on their site. After I made these changes I went into windows services and restarted the Reporting Services services but I get the following error when I try to run reports: rsRenderingExtensionNotFound: An attempt has been made to use a rendering extension that is not registered for this report server Is there anything else that I need to do to use a custom rendering extension within SSRS 2005?

• Problems debugging virtual host with Netbeans

  I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 I installed apache2 and downloaded the php 5.3.2 tar.gz, untarred and compiled. I then installed xdebug via pecl. After that I installed mysql-server and PhpMyAdmin. PhpMyAdmin can change apache2 settings, and now, xdebug is no longer included in my phpinfo(); overview. I've done a search for all possible php.ini files, but the 2 that I've found both link the xdebug.so file correctly. Yet still, Xdebug won't show. I have used and tested /etc/php5/php.ini and that worked, but it seems apache is now using a different php.ini file, and I don't know how to change that setting. Can anyone tell me how to bring it back to what it used to be? Also, installing apache, php and Xdebug was something I did by use of this video: http://vimeo.com/8005503

It is trying to create the schema table using this sql: CREATE TABLE SubSonicSchemaInfo ( version int NOT NULL CONSTRAINT DF_SubSonicSchemaInfo_version DEFAULT (0) ) Which doesn't work on oracle. The correct sql would be: CREATE TABLE SubSonicSchemaInfo ( version int DEFAULT (0), constraint DF_SubSonicSchemaInfo_version primary key (version) ) The funny thing is that since this is the very first sql executed by subsonic migrations, NOBODY EVER TESTED it on oracle.
