  • why a .net 1.1 code gets compiled in 2.0 and throws an error?

    Hi I have a web projects which is build in VS2003/1.1 framework and deployed in a webserver with IIS setting specified to 1.1 framework.lets say project X I also have another web project which is build with VS2008/2.0. IIS setting - ASP version 2.0 is selected and all pages are assigned to run with 2.0* dlls. Lets say project Y Now the problem seem to be when I hit project x, sometimes it throws errors like "error BC30456: 'Initialize Culture' is not a member of 'ASP.**" During troubleshooting this issue, I browsed through 2.0 Temporary ASP.Net files "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\" and found temp files generated for project X. (HUH?) How/why 1.1 project gets compiled in 2.0 only when it errors out.( or we could put it this way that it errors out every time it gets compiled in 2.0 which it is not supposed to) I'm confused as to why this is happening when project X has nothing to do with .net 2.0.

The "problem" I have is that when I set the set of courses in Student to cascade="save-update" that an update is also invoked on course. I was wondering if there was a way to prevent this.

    Im using linq-sql .I have 3 tables. e.g Project, People and a ProjectsPeople(fk's ProjectID and PeopleID) (junction) Table. given a set of peopleIDArray (an array of ints as people ID's) how can i get only Projects that have atleast one of the peopleId's associated with them? i.e there will be atleast one (may be more) record in the ProjectsPeople table that will have a ProjectId and an id from the peopleIDArray ) thanks

    Using Oracle 10g. ( 10.2.0.4 ) Possibly by looking at either logs or system tables is there a way to determine which version of the oracle client each connection is using. Our systems initially had 8.1.7 Clients, and then 9.X clients. We attempted to manually locate all machines that had older clients and upgrade them to to 10.2 Clients. We are seeking a method to audit (from the server) if we were successful in upgrading all of our client machines.

    "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Paint.exe" -autocheck is added to the registry every time its removed. This is like global. All the lab PCs(more than a hundred), personal laptops have this file. I really have no expert help to turn to.. as jotti says this file is clean. Here's the dropped file [removed] It seems that we all had this game cheating tool on our PCs called "Garena Maphack". Everytime it was run it would drop paint.exe into the system dir. Paint.exe is diguised as the real paint.exe from windows. Having the same icon and such.     I'm new to java and I wonder if there is simple way to know flow like the following of object creation, I'm using eclipse and when I write new ObjectInputStream and press CTRL+SPACE. I don't see any option that I can enter new BufferedInputStream (I have copied the code from example) and than to create new object for FileInputStream etc. in = new ObjectInputStream(new BufferedInputStream(new FileInputStream("emp.dat"))); List temp = (List)in.readObject(); I give that example since this is the first time that I saw this kind of creation new object flow and I want to use some best practice for the next times.

    Simplified table structure (the tables can't be merged at this time): TableA: dts_received (datetime) dts_completed (datetime) task_a (varchar) TableB: dts_started (datetime) task_b (varchar) What I would like to do is determine how long a task took to complete. The join parameter would be something like ON task_a = task_b AND dts_completed < dts_started The issue is that there may be multiple date-times that occur after the dts_completed. How do I create a join that only returns the first tableB-datetime that occurs after the tableA-datetime?

    Hey guys i'm using phpmyadmin (php & mysql) and i'm having alot of trouble linking the tables using foreign keys. I'm getting negative values for the field countyId (which is the foriegn key). However it is linking to my other table fine and it's cascading fine. So when I go to add data there will be a drop box for the CountyId and the vlaues will look something like this, " -1 1- " Here is my alter statement, ALTER TABLE Baronies ADD FOREIGN KEY (CountyId) REFERENCES Counties (CountyId) ON DELETE CASCADE

    I have this regular expression: [^\\s\"']+|\"([^\"]*)\"|'([^']*)' which works for splitting a string by white spaces, and anything within a quotation is not delimited. However, I notice that if I put in a string that starts with "" no matches are found. How would I correct this? For example, if I enter " test 2". Clearly I can do List<Foo> fooList = new List<Foo>(); foreach (Table t in database.tables) { fooList.Add(new Foo(t.Name, "Some Description")); foreach (Column c in t.columns) fooList.Add(new Foo(c.Name, "Some Description")); } Foo[] fooArr = fooList.ToArray<Foo>(); But is there a quicker way? Clearly LINQ is likely to be slower for a query that does a simalar operation, but I care allot about speed here so any advice would be appreciated. All instances of MyUserControl are contained in a List and I access them with a foreach. string temp = userControl.InputValue; This is always null. In my MainWindow.xaml I can see the "My Input" in the text box of the user control but I can't ever seem to get it out of there.

    In a SQL Server 2008 R2 database, given this schema: AgentsAccounts _______________ AgentID int UNIQUE AccountID FinalAgents ___________ AgentID I need to create a query that does this: For each AgentID 'final' in FinalAgents remove all of the OTHER AgentID's from AgentsAccounts that have the same AccountID as 'final'. So if the tables have these rows before the query: AgentsAccounts AgentID AccountID 1 A 2 A 3 B 4 B FinalAgents 1 3 then after the query the AgentsAccounts table will look like this: AgentsAccounts AgentID AccountID 1 A 3 B What T-SQL query will delete the correct rows without using a curosr?
