I started wondering today if it would be possible to integrate Joomla+CB with Google apps.
If that would be possible we could have one great product!
The first thing that I would want to integrate is the logon-process, one login for Joomla+Google apps.
Then it would be great to have some Google apps modules:
- your latest e-mails
- your next calendar entries
- your google talk buddies online/offline
- your most recent docs and spreadsheets
Hello
I would like to store my code on a repository such as Google Code. What kind of license should I use? I don't want to block me. My code may be open source and reused by others but I want to be able to reuse it in any open source project or not, and gainful project or not.
Thank you.
Documentation says (http://code.google.com/appengine/docs/java/urlfetch/overview.html#Request_Headers):
These headers are set to accurate values by App Engine, as appropriate
Does the value for X-Forwarded-For included some identity of the gae application?
I like to use Netbeans rather than Eclipse and am tempted to use the nbappengine plugin for App Engine support in Netbeans but I'm concerned that it is not an officially sanctioned product and therefore may not be as reliable as the Google Plugin for Eclipse. Could someone who has used it please comment on how robust you have found it to be?

hi all,
i have an address for a location. when i click some button in my app. it should redirect to default google map in android and drop the pin to that particular location. how to do that? Any Idea?
I want to run multiple Google Chrome application windows logged into the same web site (Twitter.com, say), each with different credentials. Is this possible? If so, how?
My initial testing shows that multiple Chrome app windows are not sufficiently isolated to do this. Logging into the second account logs me into the second account in both windows, suggesting that they are sharing information just as two Chrome tabs might.
I have tried a few options, none of which seem to work (if I have a simple multipart form with a named field, it works well, but when I don't know the name I can't just grab all files in the request...).
I have looked at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/81451/upload-files-in-google-app-engine and it doesn't seem suitable (or to actually work, as someone mentioned the code snipped it untested).
I've got a Google map, standard fare really. It's quite small though and the popup info windows on the markers are quite big, so my question is, is it possible for these popup windows to spill out the edge of the map and on to the actual website? (See dodgy photoshop job for an example).
Thanks!
I'd looking to emulate the standard google visualization table header row behavior, but have it apply to the first column. This doesn't seem to be a built-in feature, but I'm wondering if it can be accomplished with some custom CSS?
Can anyone tell or define more what is "ancestor" and give an example on it and also what it is for? I just can't grasp what it really is.
Reference: http://code.google.com/appengine/docs/python/datastore/queryclass.html#Query_ancestor
Thanks.
Hi guys,
I have noticed that in most google maps you can not drag the marker icon into your address bar and see or download the icon .png file itself. Rather then you hover your cursor over the marker, you can see javascript:void(0).
How is that achieved? Thanks!
I don't have a cell phone, but Google App Engine needs an SMS message to verify the account. Is there another way to complete the registration?
I'm surprised they don't use a Gmail account to do this.
Do anyone know how do use javascript to redirect user login using Google Accounts?
I know there is "users.create_login_url(self.request.path)" but how do that integrated to "`window.location"
Or there is alternative??
We are trying to develop a company specific tracking software but not interested in Google or Piwik. Essentially we would have a JavaScript tracking code also. The data that it would capture, would that be best suited for traditional RDMS or can we get a NO SQL solution ?
Any thoughts or ideas welcome.
i wonder what language Larry Page and Sergey Brin wrote google with?
not the languages that are used today, but for the version launched from their dorm.
thanks
I want to extract the latitude and longitude of a set of about 50-100 pins in a Google maps web page. I don't control the page and I don't need to do it more than once so I'm looking for something quick and dirty. I've got FireFox with FireBug as well as Chrome and all I need is something that's easier than re typing all the numbers.
If I visit 1 website www.abc.com that has a reference to say jQuery hosted at Google Code, and then I visit a 2nd website www.xyz.com that has the same reference - will the file be cached across both websites? i.e. will it re-download it on the 2nd website, or just use it from cache?
Is it possible to override methids for db.Model in Google App Engine?
I want to declare beforeSave, afterSave methods, etc.. to create automatic tagging system.
I know there are hooks, but it seems to me a wrong way to solve this issue :)
Thanks!
