  • Multitenant NHibernate application with with separate SQL Server schema for each tenant

    I am writing a new multi-tenant WCF RIA application. I plan to have a shared database with separate SQL Server schema for each tenant. I would like to use NHibernate for object-ralational mapping. Configuration of SQL Server schema in mapping classes doesn't help because it is static and would need one set of mapping classes for each tenant. Is it possible to dynamically configure ISession which SQL Server schema should be used for mapping objects to tables?

    An interviewer argued me "Genrics are not completely Genrics", He provided the example (Parameters int k,int d are not generic) public static void PrintThis<T>(T a, T b, T c, int k,int d) { } He asked me if i prove still it is generics , i will be allowed to take up the next round.     I have something like public class Controller { [Observer("fetchEmployeesEvent")] public function fetchEmployees() : void { //doSomething } } and I want something like public class Controller { public static const FETCH_EMPLOYEES_EVENT : String = "fetchEmployeesEvent"; [Observer(FETCH_EMPLOYEES_EVENT)] public function fetchEmployees() : void { //doSomething } } My problem is that only the first code snippet works. Flex seems to ignore the constant FETCH_EMPLOYEES_EVENT in the metadata-tag. My question is: Is it somehow possible to use constant strings in metadata?

  • How does one smooth an image used as a control skin?

    I'm embedding an image like this: [Embed(source="/tool_deleteUp.png")] private static const c_deleteButton_styleUp:Class; I'm using it like this: _removeButton = new Button(); _removeButton.setStyle('upSkin', c_deleteButton_styleUp); When I rotate the button, the image doesn't scale smoothly. I know the tricks one uses to scale an image loaded in an Image control, but I'm banging my head against a wall trying to figure out how to do it here. Help!

    Hello, i need to build the same source tree twice, 1 - with normal cflags to build the project binary 2 - with cflags plus -fPIC to build a static library that would be some sort of SDK to develop project dynamic modules. Using only one Makefile, what is the best approach to accomplish this? It would be nice to do some sort of : all: $(OBJECTS) lib_rule: $(OBJECTS) CFLAGS += -fPIC .cpp.o: $(CC) -c $< -o $@ $(CFLAGS) But obviously it can't be done. Thanks

If I create a helper object that is not a Cmdlet but will be called by Cmdlets, the helper methods may want to call WriteVerbose, WriteDebug etc. What's the best way to get access to that?     I have class A, B, C. They all can implicitly convert to a string public static implicit operator A(string sz_) { ... return sz; } I have code that does this object AClassWhichImplicitlyConvertsToString { ... ((KnownType)(String)AClassWhichImplicitlyConvertsToString).KnownFunc() } The problem is, AClassWhichImplicitlyConvertsToString isnt a string even though it can be typecast into one implicitly. I get a bad cast exception. How do i say its ok as long as the class has an operator to convert into a string?
