• Drupal rendering incomplete views

  I got tapped to do some quick maintenance on a recently migrated Drupal site. I'm pretty new to Drupal, so hopefully the problem is something that more experienced guys will figure out quick. Behavior is as follows. The public content works fine as far as I can tell. When I go to login, the login form renders correctly, but when I post the form w/ my credentials, I get back a blank page (not a 404; looks like a 200 to the /user URL, but all the gets rendered is empty Head and body tags). If i refresh the page, I get the content of my profile view, but none of the site chrome or CSS. Note that this is not an issue on the site it was migrated from, so it seems like something wasn't copied over correctly. The site's not public, so I can't provide a URL, sorry!

• Having trouble reading XML file from Windows server. Works on Linux

  I'm parsing an XML file in an android app. My success varies depending upon where the file is hosted. After hosting the file on 4 different servers (2 Linux, 2 Windows), I discovered that when the xml is hosted on a Linux server, the app works. When it's hosted on a Windows server, I am unable to parse correctly. Instead of reading the expected xml tags, it reads HTML tags (, , , etc). I'm not sure why it doesn't work on Windows servers, or if that is even the issue and not just a coincidence. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. • How to control a webView

  Hi, In one of my xml layouts I use an webview (besides other TextViews) for which I call loadUrl("myURL") to display the content from a url. The desired effect is to have displayed in a screen all the other textViews , and below them the content of web page. However when the webview loads the URL , it starts a new activity and displays the content in that activity, which is not what I need. Any ideas on how I could force the described behavior ? Later edit: I have succeed to have layout with several views mixed, one of them being the webview .Also I have succeed to obtain the described above behavior. But only after I setted a WebView client with setWebViewClient(WebViewClient); . Now I'd like to know why does it work like this only after a webViewClient is set ?

• Override l() function in Drupal

  I'm currently working on a Drupal site (6.*), which when in production mode will be accessed through some kind of http proxy, which means I will have to rewrite all the links for my custom theme if the $_SERVER['HTTP_X_FORWARDED_SERVER'] variable is set to the domain people will access the site from. The site has a lot of internal linking, mostly through Views. My thought is that the easiest way to solve this would be to hook into the url() and/or the l() functions and post process the url before returning it if HTTP_X_FORWARDED_SERVER is set. My problem is that I can't figure out how to hook into these functions, or if it's even possible without touching the core, has anyone had to do this? How did you solve it?

• 500 error on https, site loads fine [closed]

  Using http://web-sniffer.net/, I'm seeing a 500 internal error when accessing the https://www version of my site (https://moblized.com). However that URL loads perfectly fine with no errors. I was checking this because Google Webmaster is showing a bunch of 500 errors on my site. Also just noticed that I get a 200 success error if sniffing with HTTP 1.0, but a 500 with HTTP 1.1 Note: All other URL versions 301 redirect to https://www, eg. http://www , https:// , http:// FIXED: For any curious parties, there was one PHP bug that was causing a fatal error, but was still allowing the page to load.   I am trying to make a sitescraper. I made it on my local machine and it works very fine there. When I execute the same on my server, it shows a 403 forbidden error. I am using the PHP Simple HTML DOM Parser. • Creating a db driven primary navigation in django?

  I find that it's pretty common most people hardcode the navigation into their templates, but I'm dealing with a pretty dynamic news site which might be better off if the primary nav was db driven. So I was thinking of having a Navigation model where each row would be a link. link_id INT primary key link_name varchar(255) url varchar(255) order INT active boolean If anyone's done something similar in the past, would you say this sort of schema is good enough? I also wanted for there to be an optional dropdown in the admin near the url field so that a user could choose a Category model's slug since category links would be common, but I'm not quite sure how that would be possible.

• Using jQuery to store basic text string in mySQL base?

  Could someone point me in the right direction here? So it's actually within a click handler. If I understand this correctly, this snippet takes the source if the image I just clicked and strips it so I end up with only the filename. If I do an alert(filename), I get the filename only. So this is working ok. But then, it does an ajax call to a php file called "save_to_db.php" and sends data: filename. This is correct right? Then, it does a callback which does an alert + data. Does this seem correct so far? Cause my php file looks like this: <?php require("dbconnect2.php"); $uploadstring = $_POST['filename']; $sessionid = $_SESSION['id']; echo ($sessionid); mysql_query("UPDATE brukere SET brukerBakgrunn = '$uploadstring' WHERE brukerID=" .$_SESSION['id']); mysql_close(); ?> When I click the image, the jQuery snippet fires and I get the results of this php file as output for the alert box. I think that the variables somehow are empty. Because notice the echo($sessionid); which is a variable I've created just to test what the session ID is. And it returns nothing. What could be the issue here? Edit: I just tried to echo out the $uploadstring variable as well and it also returns nothing. It's like the jQuery snippet doesn't even pass the variable on to the php file?

So say if I put the parameter: http://example.com/uncategorized/ It redirect me to : http://example.com/mature/ The problem is with curl, I dont get any content.. But my aim is to get the content of that page redirect.. Is there an easy way to get the function to work in the way I want..?

• Multimap Space Issue: Guava

  In my Java code, I am using Guavas Multimap (com.google.common.collect.Multimap) by using this: Multimap< Integer, Integer Index = HashMultimap.create() Here, Multimap key is some portion of URL and value is another portion of URL (converted into integer). Now, I assign my JVM 2560 Mb (2.5 GB) heap space (by using Xmx and Xms). However, it can only store 9 millions of such (key,value) pairs of integers (approx 10 million). But, theoretically (according to memory occupied by int) it should store more. Can anybody help me, 1) Why is this happening (means Multimap is taking lots of space) ? I checked my code with out inserting pairs in Multimap, it takes only 1/2 MB space. 2) Is there any other way or home-baked solution to solve this space issue ? More clearly, how to solve this memory issue ? Thanks in advance and any idea is perfectly OK for me.

  I am trying to figure out how I want to handle settings in my PHP app. I have pretty much decide that I would like to use a Confg class file so it will be autoloaded and flexible in the future. Below is some stuff I was playing with. I know you cannot set a variable to popluate a Constant so I then try to use a public static property. • Cache images provided through script

  I have a script, which by using several querystring variables provides an image. I am also using URL rewriting within IIS 7.5. So images have an URL like this: http://mydomain/pictures/ajfhajkfhal/44/thumb.jpg or http://mydomain/pictures/ajfhajkfhal/44.jpg This is rewritten to: http://mydomain/Picture.aspx?group=ajfhajkfhal&id=44&thumb=thumb.jpg or http://mydomain/Picture.aspx?group=ajfhajkfhal&id=44 I added caching rules to IIS to cache JPG images when they are requested. This works with my images that are REAL images on the disk. When images are provided through the script, they are somehow always requested through the script, without being cached. The images do not change that often, so if the cache at least is being kept for 30 minutes (or until file change) that would be best. I am using .NET/C# 4.0 for my website. I tried setting several cache options in C#, but I cant seem to find how to cache these images (client-side), while my static images are cached properly.
